Anyone Going To The Final Battle Of The Auto Salon
Archie@ replied to henzie's topic in New South Wales
not a big fan of what mostly looks like rice, (2GU UP that R32 does look mean however), but seeing as I got given tickets.... I might toddle along.... -
Oh no.... Brycey, horrible news mate, I'll keep a look out for you incase it turns up in Sydney. This type of news allways gets me mad, especialy when it's such a nice example of some ones pride and joy.

it would probably be a massive list......

Anyone Interested In Pics Of My Rebuild?
Archie@ replied to stuartlaw_78's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I'm up for a looksy...... looking at dropping an Rb25 in my car and probably would get a motor that needs a rebuild anyway.... -
Well I made a report to the police but suprise suprise they said there is absolutly nothing they can do, even though my paint is on the other car. They would'nt even mention the other vehicle in the report... Either way i'm going to get two quotes and send them to the driver and see what happens. Chances are though that i'll have to cop it on the chin. Shame really, but I'm sort of getting tired of the saga and just want to get my car back into it's original condition so I can enjoy driving it again. At the moment everytime I hop into it to go for a spin I get annoyed and don't enjoy driving it so much. So it's off to the repair shop next week. Anyway, thanks everyone for your advice and support. Funny letter though.... still makes me laugh......

I'm now about 90% sure that it's the 4x4 that hit me. Judging by the hit, I'd have to say that the 4x4 came up the opposite side of the road, had seen the parking spot infront of me and atempted a U turn which SHE di not manage to complete. This is when she hit me. Then reversed up alitte further and parked a few spots up. I've now reported it to the police, and after alittle snoopin around have managed to obtain the lady drivers name and address, so I think it's time for me to draft a letter of demand..... Then it's up to her to submit it to her insurer... fingers crossed Thanks for the comments and support guys n gals...

Thanks for the support guys. Just need to get it off my chest. Didn't think I'd have bucklies of seeing a dime from this person. Oh well, I suppose it was time for a respray anyway, so I might just get the damage knocked back into place and wait till next year, when I might get it put under the gun.... Just shits me that people like this get away with it, and we have to suffer for their stupidity.

Hi all just need to vent a little cause I’m really pissed off at the moment. Unfortunately I do have to park my pride and joy 280zx on the street on a regular basis so I suppose it's sort of inevitable that it will occur with the below average driving skill of Sydney residents in general (present company excluded), how ever It just shit me to tears upon returning to my car to find a massive dent in the drivers side door. Not only that but the paint is cracked slightly and if I don't hurry to fix this problem almost immediately that dreaded rust will get to it. Of course as pre the norm in Sydney, no one leaves a note either. I did do a bit of a recon mission to check the neighbouring cars and there was a very suspicious looking Pajero parked a few cars over that had scrapes to the front right bumper and well the hight of the bumper just about matched the damage to my car. Handed around for about an hour hoping the stupid driver of this vehicle would return but alas I had to leave due to other commitments. The sad part is that I only have third party property not comprehensive insurance, but as I do have the suspect vehicles rego I am able to track down the owners name and address. But the question is, will they fess up to it? Probably not. So what do I do? Do I simply cop it on the chin and pay for the damage myself or do I hassle this person. I could well be that they didn't do it, but I think that there are simply to many things pointing to this low life sack of shit having done it.... End of rant

Yeah it's a joke.... with these nasty tactics, Waverly council pulled in over $6 million in parking fines in 2004 finacial year.... double that of the previous year.

good compositions, nice effort. As i'm a bit of a photoshop junkie, I could recomend it to clean up inperfections such as over exposure etc... I usually only ever get a handfull of good pictures out of the hundreds i take, but I usually help along some of my not so bad ones with abit of editing. Keep em coming, i wanna see more.

Why Doesn't Radio Give Good Bass?
Archie@ replied to JeeTeeEss25Tee's topic in Car Audio & Electrical
Thank you for yet another informative answer there dezz. As krzysiu said. FM is generally decent transmition but it's no where near as good as a digital transmition or direct conection. So you will never get as good quality which is unfortunate cause i also enjoy just listening to the radio a fair bit. -
Sorry to break it to you dude, but if you were down there after 10pm then I have bad news for you... after ten it seems to be a no stopping zone... Unless you can get an alibi... heres a few shots of the area..... anyway, pm sent
-
HAHAHA you guys are slack, funny shit though...... & CootieWild, just search the for sales section of the forum, or browse carpoint.com.au to get a general idea on vehicle prices.... Also I take it that you know next to nothing about cars, so abit of reasrch woudn't go astray either... helps to know what you can expect from vehicles... it's not enough to just own a car, you have to remember that there are plenty of other associated costs, such as rego, insurance, servicing, moding, fuel, car care products, fines, tolls... etc etc Also you probably don't have a licence yet, or are on your L's, so when you do get your P's you won't be able to legally drive a GTR if your in VIC or NSW. not that you'd be able to handle it and therefore probably end up another statistic cause you were showing off to your mates.... Buy a shit little run around car, get the hang of things, learn alittle about how it all works (shitty first cars are great for that), and if you crash it, you probably won't care so much.... wait a few years and figure out what it is exactly that you want and can afford.

hehe yeah, google earths pretty handy. Didn't get a chance to have a look last night, but i'll swing by the carpark tonight, and take a snap of any signs for you to make sure. I actually thought there are parking meters in that area but i'm not hundred percent since I have a parking permit for bondi so i usually don't take much notice. I'll let you know later tonight.

here are a few of mine, they all get alittle photoshop treatment, some get a massive amount others are almost prefect so they just get a border....

yaf28f, are you talking about the car park between the beach and the pavillion? (The car park with the boom gates). Or is it the carpark directly behind the pavillion with the walkway bridges? Let me know exaclty where it was and I'll go check it out the signs alittle later today for you cause i live direct across from the beach.

well said shifter! I think you've sumed it up perfectly. I don't think there is anything else a can add to that, except that I had mine for over 3 years and not a single problem. Terrific cars. Can't wait to get my next one.
