  1. A friend of mine works at the APS centre in Melbourne, posts up photos of cars he tunes. Last night he posted this... 280hp AFTER a performance tune. That's cute. Makes you wonder why you'd even bother spending that much money if you're going for performance?!
  2. Pretty sure I saw Zeke yesterday around 12:30 heading towards North Lakes on Anzac Ave.
  3. Hahaha. This thread is so harsh. As a fellow designer I do enjoy seeing others copping the bullshit red tape nonsense that I experience everyday - makes me feel less lonely in my struggles! Fair to say you've done a fantastic job, despite the technicalities by the anal fanboys - as true as their statements may be, by the delivery of a 5yr old on crack. I'll have to hit you up some time to get some designs done.
  4. You can do that? f**k me... that's briliant. Never understood why it's the wrong way around. Same in most modern cars. Makes no sense at all. The whole point is to push/pull in the direction of the vehicle inertia. Up shift you pull back towards yourself like going from 1st to 2nd in a manual... downshift the opposite. Surely anyone who drives a manual regularly would be losing their f**king mind with the tiptronic shit.
  5. Who are TechLine? Never heard of them, or can find a website...
  6. When you say remotely, do you mean they use a local third party service centre - so they don't cop the shit if it goes wrong (or just not allowed to update with Inifiniti branded firmware - internal red tape)? If it gets worse over time the firmware update (I can only assume) stops some of the live-calibration in the ECU. I hate when they update shit like this without telling you what it is.
  7. So I've just had a read of this. Interesting feedback on what you experienced. I feel similar 'glitches' to everything you've mentioned, but noticed it only does it in Drive. Switching to DS (Sport) eliminates these issues, which leads me to the possibility of it being gearbox related, not engine. The idle between 1000-2000rpm feels more like the clutch kicking in, cause if you hit the gas when you feel one of these 'idle' rev moments you get a very gradual bite. But of course, if it is just a gearbox calibration issue you've got to wonder why Nissan would have let it go out like this in the first place. So then you'd start to consider climate being an issue, sensors being calibrated to typical Japanese weather conditions rather than Australia's dusty humid mash-up. Either way, most of what you've said sounds more like gearbox, clutch, and flywheel. I'd love to know what the firmware update 'Patch Notes' say. Chris Rogers, saw you piping in earlier. If we can get our hands on that firmware update is that something you can update for SEQ based owners, or do you know of a preferred Nissan service centre?
  8. Flickr should offer compression by changing the "_o.jpg" to "_z.jpg", or other letters. None of them work. I blame your friend for not allowing Flickr to auto-compress linked photos. Either that or he's shared his view address, not the public address.
  9. Nope. All factory. It is centered. Photo is at a weird angle Not the best image, but this is from Nissan. Same seats (more-or-less... slight update), just in the 55th LTD.
  10. Windows 8? You can use this to make it work like Windows 7 (or other classic taskbar styles). http://www.classicshell.net/
