How about I take a step in here and trump all of you and your piggybacks. It has come to my knowledge that Sam (Dr Drift) now does remaps for R33 ECU's, including the automatic ECU's. This means I can keep all my std ECU features and also get the tune that I want and need. Over the new few months I will be saving up for my injectors to get highflowed to 550cc, a Z32 AFM and a remap on the Stagea. At this point, I am going to ditch the SITC/DFA combo and go for the remap. I expect that I should be able to make ~230-235awkw through the auto box, which should be absorbed nicely by the stage 2 shift kit I already have. At this point, if thats not enough, I may go as far as to manual convert it a year down the track, funds permitting. But, that conversion would be a rough job, just slap a box, pedals and handbrake in, no expensive fancy interior parts

Fair enough on the girlfriend thing then. My girlfriend just got her licence (bloody time) and i get in the car with her at night and she starts driving off with no lights... I ask her "can you see alright" and she says "yeh, not bad"....then i turn the lights on for her and she is like, "oh" But as Cyrus asked, doesnt she get beeped at galore. If I leave my lights on the bloody thing wont stop beeping until I close the door, by which time I understand why its beeping. Either way though, I think the autolight feature itself is pretty useless (Had autolight in 2xcelsiors I owned) as Luke said they turn on a bit late and tunnels are annoying. Cool, but useless. Good luck sorting the issue of flattening the battery either way.

$250.... honestly dude, how hard is it to take 10 seconds and think "its dark, better turn lights on" *flick* and then, "i've stopped, time to turn lights off" *flick* Its like paying for a gearbox that THINKS for you about changing gears, oh wait, they exist, they are called automatic transmissions! Dude, of coarse everyone would go the 26. Its a 26. Put it in Skyline terms, do you want a GTST or a GTR? Think of it this way. GTR motor + boost + PFC + exhaust = 250awkw GTST with exhaust, pfc, cooler, exhaust, turbo, cams and more ... =250awkw.

The last 1/4 is smaller on the gauge because the plumb is not as accurate when the fuel level goes down.

The main issue is Ken, most stagea buyers want to get something stock and start on the road themselves and most people are family people, who don't want 350awkw from the daily driver/family car. Look at the two most modified Stageas that have come up for sale, mine, and Jays. Both of us are finding it a hard thing to sell, and at the same time, because of the mods not adding so much value, we are more reluctant to price drops. For example, car (15k) + 20k mods = ~18-19k resale. Then, a car for 15k = 15k resale. BUT, when it comes to price drops to adapt to the market, the guy that spent an extra 20k will be losing way more money by dropping the price 1k than the guy that spent nothing, though both are roughly the same price. At the same time, the only people that will be willing to pay top dollar (35-40k) for a car like yours, are other people that own stageas. I have found this an inappropriate way to measure the value of the car, by asking other owners. We all ALREADY know how sick the cars are, we know they are the best wagons for the dollar etc.... but the guys that will be looking at your Stagea wont...unfortunately. One final thing, you live in Darwin yes? Hows that for exposure? I mean, would 35-40k make people fly from Melbourne just to have a look? Its a pain, I KNOW

I would also say ~25-30k, mods are just worth nothing. My Stagea (~15k for a decent stock one, plus the 20k I spent = resale at 18k) and with stock Autechs now around 20-23k landed/complied, I think thats a realistic price. I dare offer a trade + cash for mine, but I know you would want the extra 18k cash to spend on the new car. But then, if you are looking BMW M and Audi A, is 18k as important to you are the big f**k off smile on my face?? ...na, 350AWKW is SICK, but I am too wanting to get into drifting

Yeh, you wish it would be their problem not yours, but dont forget that you have paid for the car upfront and that well...you own it and they're not just going to pay you for a stinker. I wouldnt expect that a reply to an email is asking for too much communication, they charge $1000 as a labour charge for the import. To give you an idea, most retail shops make 15-20% margins on their products, saying that, I answer all my emails (100+) on a daily basis. Thats a business with two people as well, I know for a fact that J-Spec has at LEAST 4-5 people working for them. I am certain the car will be fine though, but as far as the service is, I wasnt pleased AT ALL... times 2

Yeah..... I used them once.... When that car arrived to me I made them sell the one that was still sitting in Japan again, because I knew it was going to be rubbish. Funnily enough, I got an email from the fella who bought it off me and said "The rims are bashed, the interiors cut up, kit is poorly fitted/quality, cracked bars etc...." I guess now I just know a lot more people in the industry who i'd much rather go through.

Man, if he doesn't know his shit, I dont know how he installed a headunit in a 88 camry in about 15 minutes from when he sat down, till he was finished, at the same time as chatting to me/a few others and with no wire diagrams. Also, he did the alarm in my Stagea which already had an alarm/turbo timer that was ripped out and all the wires rough, but he did a top job with no problems. Not to mention the alarms on my friends Pierre, Sams and Will's cars. The stereo for my stagea, my camry, my friends silvia, my friends datto, my friends 200sx, my friends laser. All TOP jobs, top gear and no worries. Maybe you dont like him coz he's a bit of a bogan, but who cares man, he's a f**king pissa to talk to as well!

Yes, Stagea pricing is quite interesting. I got my S1 2 years ago for... 19k...stock as a rock Burns got his from WA 2 years ago for 18k....modded Then humble bought his S1 DAYZ 1 year after me for 14.5K...stock as a rock I am trying to sell my S1.5 now for 18k....with about 20k worth of stuff on it now too Jay sold his 250awkw Stagea 6 months ago for 18k Now, Jarryd just bought this S1, pretty standard for 17k and thats the going rate at most dealers with minus 1-2k private sale. I guess they are really "the right car for the right person" kinda cars, not like others where most are all pretty much the same.

Let me explain what has happen everyone. I got the wing from 3intheback I got a mold made I got a sample made for me My panel beater put it in the oven to bake it (gets the bubbles out from the fibreglass) The thing cracked like ass NOW, time for me to get around to Freddies again and give him a talking to... get another, get it sprayed, and try it on my car. Alternatively, might just get a sample, slap it on unpainted, and everyone else can go from there. Look, Ill go around to Freddies within the next two weeks gaurenteed. At the moment, had a 15% assignment due monday, wednesday, 10% one due this friday, and another 10% essay next week. Ill go around after that.
