if its just car then not worth a claim cos u would pay massive excess if they agree to cover. no alarm/immobilizer, no coverage

GTR 1st then the women then other cars. or women then GTR then other cars. something like that.

i had plenty of things that needed fixing on my car when i bought it. They can wait. Alarm with immobilizer 1st. spend cash fixing the things that need fixed and then your car gets stolen. damn that would hurt.

i got my GTR from Shayne at Power Rd. he never pushed me into buying it or any of the other cars he had. On saying that, i believe you could get better quality cars from other places. or maybe buy 1 privately from someone off this forum. that way you can get a car thats been in aust for a while and has a service history from here. you will be able to pick up a good clean car thats had all the crap done. ie: 100,000km service, water oil pump, rubber hoses etc etc.

after 3 pages of reading im still shaking my head... emsta mate u should keep a spare spark plug next time your at sandown!

i still cant get fast running in linux (must admit i havnt tried recently.) maybe be more specific in what o2 sensor you are after. where its located on the engine etc

bump! sounds like i have the same not going into reverse issue. damn GTR's cost too much. well thanks for the info guys. i love the search function. will have this sorted in a few days hopefully and post up what happens.

i dunno bout that. i dragged a vy-ss that had 10k spend on it. my stock GTR sat next to him the whole time. this was on a drag strip by the way. street racing is illegal

2nd hand way cheaper. rebuild takes time and money. you cant say that rebuilt motors are always more reliable then 2nd hand. whats if the bloke building the motor does fantastic work but comes in 1 morning after a hard night and stuffs something without realizing it. bang goes the motor and ur back to square 1. it has happened before. you might get a crappy 2nd hand 1 as well. just gotta check out the motor before buying it if u go 2nd hand.

nis0 the best thing to do would be to have somebody that knows GTR's to have a look. Paul has a great suggestion. post up where abouts you live and see if anybody from the forum lives near you. i'm out the south east melb and would be quite happy to look at a couple with ya. in the 1st year of owning my car i spend around 10k and the 2nd year another 20k. They arnt cheap to buy but they are more expensive to own. As for insurance, with just car you can increase your excess to lower your cover. not recommended if you dont have much experience as for example, if i crash and its my fault, $500 excess + $1500 for a plus vehicle + the 'ad-just' excess (lowers my premium) $1100. =$3100 if my car gets stolen, even though its fitted with a kickarse alarm and immobiliser you can add another $1000 to that so =$4100. I am over 25 so i get to save on my age excess which i think is around $500 or $600 more. The adjust excess is an option you dont hafta take but it knocked 500 off my yearly insurance and i do tent to drive like an old man when im on the road. my 2c, if you can only afford the 20k you got from the bank, and really want a skyline, get something under 15k cos your gonna need that spare cash up your sleeve.

Sell it to sarah for 1k. problem sold! id say you would be wasting too much cash to upgrade unless you wanna go for some serious gaming. If you dont like it being so loud, find out why its so loud and fix it. replace the fans with silent 1s, silicone washers for everything and it'll run silent. I have a coolermaster case with 5 5 1/4 slots so theres plenty of room for stuffs and it isnt too big. i cant hear it at all

id say we need a list of confirmed ppl that are willing to get this done. then we can figure out how much it will cost for the bottle of gas divided up between us and then pay for the flush ourselves. me personally, i want a full flush and check over and refilled with minus 30 and minerial oil. (environmentally friendly where i can be.) only thing is, what happens if there isnt enough ppl to use the whole bottle? how many gas refills outta a bottle?
