  1. Thanks for everyone's recommendations. I went with the Splitfires in the end. Got them on an eBay auction for $400 including postage. Installed them myself. Definitely recommend going against the yellow jacket brand for anyone looking for new coilpacks. After countless hours of research and plenty of first hand experience they have proven to be straight poo.
  2. 1999 R34 25GTV Skyline auto non turbo. The accelerator/ throttle cable doesn't seem to be retracting, also not sure if this is a related problem but the black nipple at the end of the cable seems to be loose.. is it meant to be fixed to the end of the cable assembly? I turned right at a set of lights in the wet and decided I would give it a little poke while there was no one around, after correcting I fluttered off the accelerator... or so I thought.. my foot was off the accelerator pedal but the engine was still acting like it was floored. I then continued to depress the brakes but the car would not come to a stop so I had to pull the handbrake and turn the ignition off. Every time i would try to start the car after that it would rev out to 7k as soon as I turned the key. I played with the cable a little and fixed it momentarily. The next day the same thing happened. Does anyone know of a way to stop this problem from occurring again? Don't feel the safest having to drive around knowing the throttle could get jammed again!!
  3. That's what I heard too haha.. Im now thinking all the hype was driven by @performance-wise himself in an act to market his product and uphold some sort of reputation. The only possible way @performance-wise could help me out is by fully refunding me the total costs of the coil packs. I would not dare go near another set of yellow jackets as I can't afford the added mechanic bill every 10,000ks and I certainly can't afford my car being off the road as its my sole form of transport.
  4. Was just curious to explore the chance of something else setting the coil packs up for failure under the presumption that the new yellow jackets couldn't possibly of failed again after only 10,000ks. However I seem to be proven wrong as after more and more research its looking like the yellow jacket coil packs are the problem themselves. Will definitely be going with splitfires or ls2 coils the next time around.
  5. I'd still like to explore this topic, so if anyone else has any thoughts on the subject please let me know.
  6. Actually the last time I dealt with @performancewise it was a really unpleasant experience. I found the supplier to be extremely rude, ill mannered and extremely difficult to talk too.. I'm sure at some point in time I was actually threatened.. on top of all of that the product doesn't even work as it should. We exchanged emails for a period of time until eventually he gave in and sent me out the replacement set that I desperately needed. Now that it has happened again I don't think that I want to go through the whole process and then keep repeating the process every 10,000ks because of a junk dodgy product. I would much rather stay clear of @performancewise and their dodgy scam. I would encourage anyone thinking of buying yellow jackets to definitely re-think their options!
  7. Okay so the first time it started to misfire and throw the error code 21 I swapped the OEM coils out with brand new yellow jackets coil packs and replaced the spark plugs with brand new NGK iridiums at approximately 80,000ks. The yellow jackets stayed in the car for around 10,000ks until the car started acting up again. I contacted the supplier and they had informed me that they must have had some kind of malfunction, I sent them back and had another brand new set sent out to me under warranty. Had the new set installed and the issue was fixed again.. until now... I have now done approximately another 10,000ks and the problem has arisen again. The car is a 1999 r34 25gt-v (rb25de neo). I bought the car with 77,000ks on the clock and since then I've only driven around 30,000ks. It now sits on 113,000ks. Is there anything that would be contributing to the coil packs failing? An underlying problem perhaps? Anyone with similar issues?
  8. This is so f**king cool mick, might have to try get a loan sorted haha!
  9. Just got my baby some Nismo G-Attack S-Tune skirts [emoji7] [emoji7] [emoji7]
  10. Has anyone had any experience using TRW brake pads on there GT-T? I see alot of people recommending using the Intima SR pads but have also read that TRW are quite good and top quality (better than EBC green/yellow/red stuff). If anyone could give me some info and thoughts on them from previous use it would much appreciated.
  11. Had a problem with the coilpacks and/or plugs in mine. Was causing the car to missfire and jolt/hessitate while under acceleration, cruising and at idle. It felt like i was loosing power and over time it gradually got worse and worse until it got to the point i could barely drive up a hill. Replaced everything and havent had a problem since. Where are you located?
  12. Try a new set of coilpacks and spark plugs and see how you go, they were the first things to die on me when i imported my 34 from japan at around 88,000kms. I bought yellow jacket coil packs and NGK iridium plugs to fix the issue.
  13. What mods have been done to it? Since its not missing on idle or under accleration im leaning towards a fueling issue rather than the more common coilpack or spark plug problem. Possibly dirty air or fuel filter? Anyone else have any ideas?
  14. Anyone on here have any information on this R34 build with a Supercharged RB25de neo?
  15. I got offered the set cheap with tyres (white volks with toyos) for $300. I was only considering it because my tyres are cooked and this was a way cheaper option rather than to buy a new set. Then i decided not to because f**k 17x7's.
  16. No worries, thanks guys. Only wondering since I got offered a set of nice white volks with toyo tyres that have 90% tred on them all round for $300 and the tyres on mine are toast.
  17. Anyone have an idea if 17x7 et40 will fit a 25gtt with 215/45/17 all round?
