  1. Pulled the aac off and found I forgot to replace the oring between the solenoid and the aac housing. Installed one and took the car for a drive Rpms still occasionally would drop but car never died. I also didn't reset the ecu which I should have done. Will keep this updated if this fixes it
  2. Rb20 random rpm drop and die Hi guys have been having a little gremlin lately with my gts4. Find at random when car is in neutral and coasting to a light my rpm will drop low and cause the car to die, I have also had it happen while sitting at light not moving idling fine at 1k then rpms start to drop, sometimes it chatches itself and revs jump to ~1200 other times it dies. Each time it does whether coasting or just idling it starts right back up like there was no issue. Drives fine 95% of the time though. I have idle set to 1k currently, have pulled IACV and cleaned that and adjusted the spring 1.5 turns tighter.
  3. Update: Burped the cooling system and took the car for a drive, can definitely tell it's running cooler than with the old setup I had. Drove around and revved out to 4-4.5k and didn't have any issues so we'll see when I actually do a wot pull if anything hits
  4. Got everything in today. Super tight fit with ic piping. Think there is an inch clearance between fan blade and pipe. Anyone see an issue with it being so close? Previous owner told me he tried running like this and the piping would hit the fan on hard accelerstion,he ended up putting a hole in the old rad.
  5. Hmm alright worse comes to worse I will make the oem shroud work. Gets 46*C during the summer where I live.
  6. Also is it alright to use blue loctite on the bolts just to ensure they don't back off?
  7. Rb20 viscous fan blade question Hey guys an idea what fan blades these are? Was under the impression rb20 were just straight blades and pretty archaic. Also think there will be any issues running this fan vs the oem rb20 fan blades and the factory shroud?
  8. Front wiper linkage and motor Hey guys have a question about the wiper linkage. I noticed today that my passenger center pivot assembly is worn out and has a ton of play making it so that the hood will hit the wiper arm if I don't adjust the arm up. My question is does anyone know if there are any us models such as Infiniti j30, 300zx, 240sx, 200sx wiper motors, arms and linkage are interchangeable? I did some research and they look very close if not the same just needing verification. Thanks in advance.
  9. I was thinking rather than use the bleeder if I could either tap this elbow or weld a bung on and put a thermostatic switch on the end of it. Thoughts anyone?
  10. Ac belt tensioner question Hey guys in the process of repairing the ac on my gts4 and need to get a replacement ac belt tensioner. I searched the part number online and found that it is the same as the Infiniti j30 and the z32 300zx. My question is does anyone know for sure if they are in fact interchangeable? Want to verify before I order one if possible. 11925-42L06 is the Nissan part number.
  11. Before you pull it just take a sharpie and put reference marks so when you put it back you no exactly where it was.
  12. Did you pull your CAS off and spin it with the key on and plug still connected to make sure all injectors are firing?
  13. Nlsmo6 thanks for the reply. Theoretically couldn't I pull the bleeder screw on the top of the intake manifold and put the switch there? Not too keen on putting an adapter in the upper hose as I think it will look tacky
  14. Electric fan question Hey guys have a question that's been covered before but I haven't had any luck when searching for the exact answer to my question. Currently have a 14" puller wired to a switch I have to manually turn on and off on my radiator (was on the car when I got it). I want to switch to a dual fan setup and run it off a temp switch. My question is if I use a controller like the spal where can I pull signal from without having to chop the upper rad hose and using an adapter? Is there a plug I can tie into for the command for the viscous fan to engage to use as a trigger wire for a relay to kick my electric fans on?
  15. I would say you'll probably need something bigger the gt28 if you're looking for over 350whp
  16. Did you check to make sure your CAS is firing all 6 cylinders? May have a dead spot on it. Correct me if I'm wrong but firing order is 1-5 3-6 2-4, so the fact that 2 and 4 are wet would make me lean towards a bad cam angle sensor
  17. Got it all sorted guys thank you for the replies. Wanted to leave this up incase anyone else had the issue they can search and find it. With the 32 coming stateside now and this being the most informative forum figure there will be more people like me asking stupid questions like this lol
  18. Listen to dose he knows his stuff ?
  19. Awesome thanks kiwi...looks like I'll get it changed out this weekend
  20. Kiwi curious where the fuel filter is? just got a gts4 with rb20 and probably wouldn't hurt to do this to mine
  21. I would just pull the access cover in the trunk/boot and pull the whole fuel cage and see what the deal is...with the cover off can shine a light in and see if there's any sediment too
  22. So I guess I should have just looked at it some before posting.... For anyone else who is curious about how to fix this here's the info. Under each mirror is a small rectangular plastic piece, pop it out. I found it easiest to loosen the mirror mounting bolts so you can get a better angle however I was able to do the pass mirror without loosening. Once you get the small cover off you will see one Phillips head screw tighten this up, now follow the wire back towards to other side of the access hole and look under the wire there will be a second Phillips there to tighten also. Once both are tightened reinstall the covers and you're good to go. *side note if you want to so you don't have to go back down the road to retighten. Pull each phillips one at a time and apply some BLUE MEDIUM STRENGTH lock tight to the thread and tighten down. Highly recommended you use blue and NOT red.
