  1. I would tend to say no, unless you are looking to punch larger numbers. The larger butterfly could finite throttle control harder. Got any pics of this m.fold?
  2. Full HecTik transparent with a 12v Fluro!!!! Niiice!
  3. ... those people have never seen the comp cover of a GT47-88 dwarf the width of the motor To A your Q, it looks pretty stock, though rem.. its how you use it.
  4. Hrrrmm, i better do some more research, as i thought the .8 housing was going to get me fullboost by 3000-3500rpm !!! let alone the .63!! Thanks
  5. Hi Ian, Are you serious about that 3540 on a RB25? Iv heard a GT3540/.63 rear makes full boost on a 3L at 2500rpm and on a RB26 at 3500rpm with cams? 5000rpm on a 25 seems completely at odds to what I know! Any clarification would be appreciated (PM if want)
  6. Hrrrrm, sounds bad! How have you mounted the pump? Intank? with stock filtration sock? >> http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...pic=144402& More information we can get on failures, the better - thanks!
  7. Sooo mysterious Maybe idle control valve, or AFM, and the not wanting to rev, sounds kinda "Nissan: sensor dropped out / stopped working, induce rev cut mode" Has your brother checked for error codes from the ECU? Cheers
  8. Cheers man, tis wot i was thinking. I have some proper 2 ply shit, but its a complete khunt to use in the engine bay. Later tonight, will puff my chest up and try again. Tried engine oil, silicon spray, petroleum jelly and hot water. Cheers man M
  9. Hey all, As per topic, would single ply, low pressure EFI hose be suitable for power steering fluid? Its simply to re-route PS fluid to a reservoir; so no real pressure. Opinions would be massively appreciated!!! - M
  10. I respectfully disagree, as have seen dozens of examples where it looks like a section of the nut has been ground off. x4 - Ground nut
  11. For it to be there so long, without need for it to be covered, id assume the owner doesnt mind bout ppl knowing, or the real secretes unseen For what ever reason, I didn't want to start a thread bout trying to put information together and start a rumor mill ( thanks for not naming workshop Leech ) I was hoping to chat to the owner about his setup, as mines quiet similar I'm aware mods, this inst really the intended use of forum Cheers
  12. Hey All, Saw a white GTST with a "RB30DETT" wondering if it belongs to any one here? - M
  13. Have a PEII on a BNR32, very quiet no drone, many long distance interstate trips. Almost too quiet though, doesn't have that scream up top. Cheers
  14. I was of the thought that a 3540 with a small rear like .86, should provide full boost by 3500rpm?
  15. Niiiice. Hey Dave, are the pumps outside the boot? How come the feeds also enter the top, do they go down to the bottom of the tank? Also what the wires going to the top? Cheers!
  16. I too didn't want the surge tank in the boot, or have to run $$$ lines just for smell. I'm currently mocking up a s.tank to fit up under the car, in front of the f.tank. Stock pump as a lift, then a 044 sitting OUTSIDE the enclosure pushing fuel up front. PS: Has anyone else heard, that you can get increase knock value from driving hard with below 1/4 fuel in a BNR32?
  17. People run from 2-5L. Call up some fabricators as well, as some alloy pipe, with two ends and some threaded pipes handing out of it, cant cost as much as some of the surge tanks going around.
  18. Ducking off at lunch to rego my car, spotted a white Stagea, blasting around the Airport roundaBout M
  19. Mod's: Please ban this user.... LoL jk M
  20. Goto Pirtek to supply and make your turbo lines, and they'll use normal compression fittings, same as oil cooler / dry sump setups. I would be more fearful of my -10 cooler hose falling off then a -6 / -8 turbo oil supply One off stuff, id go to Pirtek / Enzed, but if you use it a lot.. it all adds up .... agreed.. the prices ARE the lowest i have seen for AN fittings.... .... .. They dont look like Speedflows, Earls, AeroQuips - M
  21. Hahah, maybe not the win, but generally would prefer one then a SR. If you have seen them stripped, they look like a RB with the cylinders lopped off!! Serious. Cam journals, block webbing all look similar. Have a mate who rebuilt and clearanced one with mostly stock OEM parts, except for pistons, and makes 180kw@wheels in a FWD Pulsar on 17psi from a tight T25. I once thought one with a CA20 crank would be the bee's knee's... if possible but i don't think the cranks are that strong. Still, magin CA iron block / head with breathing 2L...
  22. Compression lines only require some soft spanners, as steel on alloy is a no no. Or one of those kits for cutting through the braided hose, though the tried and tested electrical tape works for 99% of jobs.
  23. 100% correct. Try and get a mechanic mate to order the stuff from wholesaler like VPW and your set. I would avoid http://www.afterdarkspares.com/ unless your looking to line up cam cover breathers, washer bottle lines Cheers M
  24. Sorry if im whoring thread, but this engine dynamic sh*t is the crux of why i love this hobby. You've made some awesome summary's GTR1993. RB and SR that are fixed to an extent when modding hard. Lets not talk bout the JZ's. Outright power isnt really a goal around import forms, otherwise we'd all be using big blocks and truck tahbins. Sall bout applications. I figure... - Type of driving style you want = chassis, then power plant then sus settings etc.
