    Well it just happens that I'm overseas again and don't know when I'll be back. Also I think the engine+gb will be removed and the rest scrapped. Still not sure what will be happening yet.

    I've held both, GT-R feels a bit more "meaty" meaning it has a bit more dish. Unless my Type-M steering wheel was the same as the normal GTS-t

    Centre muffler or resonator does help a lot for the sound, as you found gets rid of the shitty raspy noise. My R31 is a simple catback and it sounds mean, I had a proper oval type resonator fitted and a 'sports' rear muffler. My R32 GT-R has some shitty barely there hotdog resonator and a half decent rear muffler, I rekon my R31 sounds better.
