  1. PS that's not a GTR intake manifold, it's a RB25 non-neo that is adapted for a Neo head.
  2. mine don't have any other restrictors...
  3. It's not surprising, seeing that more and more Skylines are here, and getting stolen / binned so the payout ratios are now higher. Therefore, the risk rating on the car goes up, and you pay more. Solution - don't bring any more skylines in!
  4. no offence mate but if you are going to modify the NUR like the WRX then don't get the NUR. STOCK is the way to keep it, especially if you're going to throw 22" chromies and neons on it. the WRX looks nice, but I can't stomach chromies or neons... but that is neither here or there - it's your car.
  5. yeah someone who could do a bodge job of fixing it, if they had the tools and know how, to fix it up. doesn't sound like our mate here has either of those two things (no offence). a 'cheap fix' exercise will end up more $$ in the bin than taking the pay out...
  6. it's the law - they have their official figures, which may or may not be representative, but you can't change that, you can't argue that (except in court, as R31 has said). if you don't like it, move to another country. best summarised here (old but applicable)
  7. should have bought my old Trust Power Evolution!! that doesn't help you though lol
  8. look at the oil pump drive off the front. if it's very short (someone might be able to give you actual mm measurements) it's an early girl. if it's longer (double?) in depth it's a late model crank, same as R33, that fixes the short oil pump drive problem
  9. wouldn't they be longer to correct too much negative camber from lowering? it makes more sense that way...
  10. As above. cheap! lol
  11. picsorban??
  12. i don't care if this was a 'high powered car' or not, but these laws are designed to protect young, stupid drivers. I was one, once. you get caught, too bad. it may prevent this: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/t187883.html
  13. 158, 160... different dynos, different days. consider it the same for all intensive purposes.
  14. if you do this on the street you are a dickhead though. however, doesn't make today tonight right
  15. I bought a loom it was around $300 by memory... will check the invoice
  16. how hard is it to change these suckers over? not engine/gearbox out job?
  17. sounds painful. good luck though. lesson learnt - if you're not sure what you're doing with imports, buy a car that is complied and registered here already. you might find that the 'cheap' self import and compliance costs the same as a importer doing it all then selling it with a margin for him.
  18. im with duncan - pic two is castor rods
  19. after all that and no pics?? pete you bastard!
