  1. i'm going to go with no, he hasn't asked the owner.. looks like your average run of the mill RB26... get the VIN/engine number and get someone to run it through FAST for you? see if it is a) the original engine, and b) anything special..
  2. a 95 rb25 would be a series 2 engine... does it have an ignitor pack on the cover/in the coil pack loom?
  3. east bear and 25neo, only cause i want to see the 26 in the wagon
  4. east bear 34 gts-r bart!
  5. it's not a cefiro, its a 33 with an Exa hatch grafted on i believe.... do not want.
  6. nice cars mitch. is the TME new-ish? i think you only had the stag and RS last time... i was tossing up between a legnum and an evo 6 when i bought my leggy in late 07.. ended up getting the leggy due to price, then evo prices came down
  7. perhaps just get it checked to see if it is out of balance or not..
  8. if its just the hose from the side of the regulator, that runs to the front of the plenum (all of about 150mm long) then yes, that is the vacuum line. ideally i wouldn't tee anything into it, especially as there is a nipple on the back of the 25 plenum that runs the stock boost gauge, but you shouldn't have any issues as long as you made sure all connections are tight (cable ties on the ends of the hose work well) edit - the short hose about 100mm to the left of the oil cap, going from reg to plenum, correct?
  9. i'll stick to my hose removal pliers hey.. they seem to do a pretty good job at removing hoses. however, i'm sure a first year apprentice knows more than me, i've only worked on cars for years.
  10. that's the lines for the wastegate, ideally they should be as close to the compressor housing as possible, however you can run it off the vacuum lines coming off the plenum for the BOV, etc. just to get it running.
  11. i used hose removal pliers
  12. hose coming off the fuel reg (yellow circle) is the fuel return line, definately put some EFI hose on it. i'm assuming your boost gauge wasn't hooked up to this line? not unless you wanted to read your fuel pressure, lol
  13. the belt might look fine, but i can guarantee you it has stretched over 100,000km, that is why they are replaced.
  14. i'm after a set of 6 injectors, preferably around 600cc or if anyone has some 740cc injectors they want to sell, i only need one, but might be willing to buy up to a set of 6... i have cash waiting... will pay freight from anywhere in aus.
  15. i'm in the same boat is micah, i had (until last month) a legnum super vr-4, and my ex had a series 1 stagea. stock for stock, and even into the light mods, a legnum is a quicker, more agile car.. my legnum ran a 13.7 1/4 mile with 3" cat back and 12psi only, and was pretty good around corners for a wagon but the stagea has more aftermarket parts, and they are cheaper. the stagea is also quite a bit larger, you notice it most in the front seats. in the stagea you could swim in the foot wells, the legnum was definately a bit more lacking in the leg room (that said it's not small) i enjoyed my leggy, it was a great car, pretty reliable apart from a blown gearbox (i was at the drags at the time, but who knows the history of the car), could get 10L/100km if i cruised around, and got even less with country runs. but then a S1 stagea dumped with decent rims also tickles my fancy too.. my ex managed to get 10L/100km from her modded stagea too, so really it comes down to how you drive it, the legnum would chew more fuel than the stagea if both were given a boot though. go take them both for a test drive, and go from there.
  16. the whole idea of replacing them is so they don't shit themselves whilst on your car.. i don't know about you, but i sure as fcuk aren't going to go to all the effort to replace a timing belt with one that has done the same amount of km's...
  17. tried new splitfires + loom + ignitor today, no difference. unplugged coil packs, and its now cylinder 3 that is missing, so i swapped injector 1 and 3, and 1 misses.. so it seems like a dud injector.. i'm not sure how they go about cleaning/flow testing them.. but i think my injector is forked at low voltage, but seems to work fine at higher voltage (i'm guessing they just give them full voltage to check flow) getting a set of stock injectors soonish to test.... anyone want to sell me ONE nismo 740cc side feed injector for a 25?
  18. they aren't that hard to find.. i'm pretty sure they are at the top of the compressor, and screw horizontally into the bracket.
  19. undo the tensioner for both belts, PS has one bolt holding it onto the bracket, air con has 4 (2 at the top, 2 at the bottom) i think, been a while since i removed mine.
  20. as i said, the plugs have already been changed (twice now) i'm trying a set of splitfires, new loom, and new ignitor tomorrow..
  21. had a compression test done last week, came up fine. 160, 160, 160, 155, 155, 165 stock ecu won't work too well, i've got a Z32 AFM and 740cc injectors might try checking the earths...
  22. that rear tyres doesnt look any where stretched enough to be a 225 on a 10" either... what offset is the 18x10 as well? a mate of mine has a set of 18x10 +20 LM GT's, they only JUST clear the rear strut, and stick out of the guards. they also have 235's stretched over them. i'd say your rear rims are 18x9, 18x9.5 at most.
  23. had the injectors cleaned, flow tested and new o-rings, didn't fix it. it only happens once the car gets warm, and it's more often now, and across most of the rev range. if we unplug coil pack on cylinder 1, and 4 the idle doesnt seem to change, i've rotated coil packs around and it still does it.. any more idea's?
  24. good luck finding another one with black leather interior too.. only came on the COTY edition, which aren't common. i have my stock legnum rim's here if you want them too lee.
