  1. It's a great ad mate. It looks to be a pretty honest car. It's a pain selling any car privately let alone some like this so good luck with it.
  2. just spoke with Bridgestone Select Richmond. For 265 35 18 - S001 - $420 ea RE002 $367 ea - booked myself in for these. (prices are fitted and balanced)
  3. I've used the FK452's before and they're ok for a low powered daily driver. Yeah, saw the 453's at Tempe for $260 in 265 35 18. Might go up a level and get the Pirelli P-Zero's instead of 453's.
  4. Has anyone had any experience with the new Falken Azenis FK453? Looking around for some higher end road tyres for my street wheels. (R32 GTR)
  5. No worries - forgot to mention my ones are +12 too. Roll the guards - you know you want to
  6. The 452's are definitely better than the Ziex's but there are still way better tyres out there. (Kumho KU39's etc)
  7. the street setup for my 32 GTR will be running 18x9.5 TE37's with 265 35. You will need to roll your guards for them to fit. Below link has some pics on what the setup will look like. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/358190-fs-mlb-bronze-volk-te37-fitted-with-near-new-ku36/
  8. N1 long motor & all new purchased engine parts & accessories were dropped off at Racepace last weekend. Also got the buckle on one of my 17" TE37 repaired for $110 so happy with that outcome. Will post some photo updates when progress on the engine build is made.
  9. Nice! Good to see it coming together.
  10. A hilarious read - http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Nissan-Skyline-1999/SSE-AD-2116709/?Cr=10 "Born in the reign of Akihito, BNR34 was the last son of a great warrior family. Older brothers include the muscular R32 who made his name ripping the heart from the 90s Touring car series. Second brother R33 fought in a higher weight division & never rose from his brother's shadow. When R34 was born, enthusiast attention was focussed on lesser Japanese families & Noble Europeans. But R34's father, Watanabe had a vision to stun with a supercar baiting son, trained in the Bushido way, dressed sharply & with improved manners. R34's 1st breath was a raspy snarl that grew angrier as it rose until it snapped quiet at 7,200rpm. R34 immediately went hunting Europeans on the Nurburgring & dismayed many with blistering times. His biggest impact was on Playstation where his chiselled features & hunkered stance made him a favourite. Officially released with 206kw, Watanabe's Cheshire grin led tuners to explore increases as they found modest changes reaped huge benefits, making this warrior more fearsome. YTP782 came to me as a Ronin (masterless samurai) cast out of Japan as too old (36 months), but I solemnly promised to care for him, introduce him to Australia, & increase his weaponry in exchange for loyalty & exemplary behaviour. I cared for him with the finest oils, changed at 5000km. I kept him from street fights, track battles, clutch dumps, & drag queens spoiling for a matchup. When I grew tired of his stock performance I researched improvements to build strength without surgery. 550cc injectors new poncams adjustable cam gears Power FC & 1 bar boost controller Down pipes Japan spec 3” exhaust br& new 265/35 Falken FK452 tyres YTP was my loyal companion for 10 years & 118,000 km, & now wants to be released to a new owner as he is too fit to be kept garaged for weeks. YTP has some blemishes to his nose from Australian curbs & stones, & has started to age gracefully on the steering wheel but will reward additional drivetrain surgery toward even bigger kw."
  11. Good decision. Try Iron Chef Imports. Gets a good rap on here or be patient and wait for a good one to come up via a private seller. That's what I'd do if I had to do it again.
  12. Yeah, for sure. I'm a pretty patient guy so after 7 years am going to enjoy the whole rebuild process including getting updates from them For sure, it's a lot of work. Am keen to start posting updates once it's been sent in!
  13. Yes, exactly the same
  14. From memory it takes them around a month to do the motor however my build might be a bit different. Plan is to drop the long motor plus parts in firstly. Once they get that to a stage where they need the car with the existing motor still in there with cam covers, sump etc, then i'll drop that in and they'll complete the build then drop it in. They will need to get some additional work done like refit the fuel tank with Nismo fuel pump and remove the old fuel system. Plus the car has been sitting for 7 years so there will be other work that needs to be done. (The poor girl has lost all her fluids over the years, sitting around so seals for diff, brake master etc have perished)
  15. Looks tough. What size/offset are wheels/tyres?
  16. Hi mate, yes, Racepace will be doing the work. Going to do it once and get it done right so I can start enjoying the car after all this time.
  17. HAHA , yeah a got a lot of that on the bucks night hanks mate Also, a bit late but congrats on baby no.2 mate. Can't wait to have a couple of my own in the next few years Eagerly awaiting the updates on your car too. Soooo clean and awesome!!
  18. Well getting married this weekend so will be away from anything car related for a couple of weeks then.......REBUILD TIME! In the mean time considering what to do about the seat situation. Currently have twin Sparco Pro 2000's with custom seat rails by Meridian Motorsport. (not adjustable, bolted in) Considering selling these and getting R34 GTR seats. I figure they'll be great for daily driving and tracks days too. Thoughts?? I'm not the biggest fan of the standard 32R seats.
  19. Spent some time yesterday at the cars temporary resting place, sorting out the parts. Removed the 17" TE37 that couldn't be balanced. Will drop it off this week to get repaired. (all the stuff stacked behind the car front left to right are parts)
  20. Rebuild starts early July. Am going to drop by this long weekend and sort out the parts and get the fuel tank back in so hopefully an update soon!
  21. And here they are going all ga ga over the launch control
  22. Not much to update atm unfortunately. Lifes been a bit hectic (in a good way). Got my bucks this weekend. Going to get married in mid June and honeymoon straight after that. Car and all parts are currently sitting in a large shed....waiting, waiting. Will try and get to the car and sort out all parts and get the fuel system sorted, hopefully before the wedding, ready for the rebuild. N1 Engine is getting dropped off early July to begin the build, followed by the car when they need it.
  23. mate, that is not good at all Hoping it all works out! Will keep a look out.
  24. I was thinking the same thing when you posted the recent pics of yours. Yours looks awesome with those skirts and wheels. thanks dude Yes, that cost includes engine, out/in and tune. I started doing engine out on mine but then abandoned the idea as i'm poor for time atm and it will create too much of a mess for the workshop to work with . There is also a Stage 2 and that's a 2.8L (about 14K from memory). Dunno about Stage 3 but i'd say that'd be 3L? I'll ask next time i'm around there.
