  1. Nice work so far, I figured being an old V8 boy you would have gone the Rb25/30 setup for the extra torque. Personally though, I love the smooth feeling of the RB25
  2. Hey Guys, Got a nasty stratch on my bonnet and looking to pickup another rather then get this one repainted (rather give you the cash then to somebody to repaint my whole bonnet....). Looking for ones with maybe very tiny marks, no big stratches. May also consider a Carbon Fiber bonnet assuming it has the supports. Also my diff has decided to go the way of a commodore diff and play open diff. After a good condition Stock Diff that locks nicely or a good condition one with aftermarket internals. Will to pay decent prices, prefer Brisbane sellers due to size & weight of items, unless seller is willing to include part of the shipping cost in the price. Just drop me a line via PM, Kind Regards, Ben
  3. For those interested, I have KYB shocks on the rear on mine, they do a great job, still nice and firm, but give way for those nasty bumps (I live around shitty roads, I know all about bumps and pot holes). The real squats nicely when giving it a bit and compensates enough to prevent wheelspin, but doesn't feel like a total boat on the corners. It's like a new skyline straight off the factory floor as the original setup was from KYB. Hope this gives you an idea of how they fair, mine has been on for ~6,000km now and don't miss a beat. Also, mine is standard height. Cheers, Ben
  4. Oblivion that was prob me... I tend to phase out nowadays and not pay too much attention to the lines around here. Nobody likes to wave. That said, sometimes I'll be checking out the car and look up and see a person waving... sorry to those people, I was looking at your car. When driving to work or uni my mind isn't excatly the most switched on of items, it's in drive mode... "Ohh shiny car" drive drive drive. If anybody see's BEN*337 gold on black, feel free to wave, if I don't wave back... I'm just being brain dead! Also if you notice me at work, come say hello! I love to chat about cars while working, see some mint ones come through, but not often enough... still my favourite so far was a 350Z supercharged, followed by a Porche 911 Turbo in black... so sexy!
  5. I see plenty of lines between home, work and uni (between Munruben and Upper Mt Gravatt). I can count the number of friendly liners on 1 hand... and that was a certain Yellow R34 with a nice loud stereo Usually I get asians or middle easterns (no racisim) here, and they look at me confused when I wave.... they just don't understand. That said, I saw a little white boy today in his car "SMOKE U" who seems to visit browns plains... nice driving dude... honestly, just put a new sticker on your car that says "Pull me over". I use to have a Silver 4 door R32 with a big front mount who'd wave at me along mt lindsay highway in the 90 zone (around granger/stoney camp rds). Now I'd be lucky to see a line not driven by a bogan. But that's what happens when the locals get some cash and realise the potential of a skyline... bummer they usually don't pick decent ones that are clean and tidy
  6. Hey Guys, The rims have been sold, they were 7" wide and I'm still unsure of the offset. Thanks for all who were interested. Also don't forget, the POD filter is still forsale... I'm fairly flexible on price... Cheers, Ben
  7. Mind my ignorance, but how do I measure the offset? once I know this, I'll post it up. Cheers, Ben
  8. 53XYN that BEN337 was myself... almost got my plates. It's funny how many people get the numbers wrong when it's the model number The car looks great by the way, ohh and impressive boot rattle from the subs
  9. If you get desparate I would take him for free... or for a low fee.... Good home, big yard, german shepard only a year and a half old to play with. I am too poor for $750 but feeding and the rest the olds would pay for Serious offer, cheers, Ben
  10. The rubber is above the indicators... I have no idea by how much... I can't judge for the life of me. I don't know what the multi-stud fit pattern is.... I know one set is 5 for a 33 but that's all. Feel free to give me a call and come look, I don't mind letting you do a trial fit on any car. I'm out at Park Ridge if you're interested to give you an idea, plenty of space, jack tools etc... I can change a tire faster then I ever wanted to... damn car
  11. Dude you're old enough to be my dad! Actually... you're about the same age Happy b'day old dude! Keep on... trucking? boosting? or I guess hurting people to keep them in line
  12. Got a Set of 17" Bronze Rims of an unknown brand. Rubber is Dunlop something, 17/245/45 front and rear. Multi stud fit, suits a R33 GTS-T at least. Asking $600 or make an offer. Really want these gone... they are just taking up space! HKS Pod Filter with Adapter suit R33 Standard AFM or Z32 AFM. Still decently clean, would recommend new filter soon though. Was on car for 6 months and did ~10,000km. Makes the cool induction noise... heh. Asking $80 or make an offer. Contact via PM or mobile 043362107, if I don't answer I'll call back. SMS is fine, just make sure you tell me your name!
  13. Depending on the wear they will refuse to repair it as it's a non-road worthy tire... and peoples opinion vary on what is repairable and not so be warned I got tires 6 weeks ago... and need new ones already due to nails in the rears (pile on the road... dickheads) and fronts were flat spotted by a close call accident. I feel your pain 4x
  14. I think people are forgetting the useful function of PM's, you can say what you like and don't bother everybody else (refering to, posts from people about breakfast, love you baby and shit like that). Unless topics, plenty of those around in here. Out of about 20 topics, I may read 2 or 3. "I have a friend whose interested in joining", "I went to some concert today", "I got paint on my car, boohoo", "Yet another thread about PFC's!", "The cops caught me doing something dumb, I hates the coppers!" and similar are quite useless and/or annoying. I tend to keep my social chatting that has nothing to do with skylines and queensland out of this forum, you have access to PM, various chat programs, Telephones, mobile phones or forums elsewhere... heck you can make one for free and pay nothing, EVER! It comes down to opinion though, whats useful and useless. Though the useless seems to be being noticed by far more people and the audiable few seem to create a racket when their posts get deleted/topics closed when complaints are made.
  15. Get a racing cat... one of those 4" jobs. Not only is it illegal but it's bad everybody. Get a proper dump pipe, not a screamer, you'll get booked so bad and anybody doing a safety cert will fail you right away. Atmo BOV doesn't mean anything, just attracts more attention. Finally, get a mod plate for things like the top mount turbo etc... (check with engineer which mods need a plate), otherwise when you crash nobody will cover you for damage (comp 3rd party included).
  16. I've got my stickers here if anybody wants them... I'm never going to affix them to the car. So if you want them (2x), PM me, they are just sitting on my desk collecting dust.
  17. I'm all up for angry mob @ car yard on Saturday morning... That would drive me mad, I would have called the police and reported it stolen and refused to move off the yard until I got my car back... I'd also get some mates to come join me and make a scene (pref call media of sorts also). Well, keep us upto date! I'm sure everybody is willing to show up for support!
  18. Got this on DVD, great to watch. It would be great to see this brought back, Group A touring that is. djr81, just because they lead by so much didn't mean they were going to win. Really the other car companies needed to come to the plate with their cars and build something decent. Instead they changed the face of australian racing to give the cheaper local manufacturers a go. Just because back then the rules needed to be tweaked and cars needed to catch up to the GTR doesn't mean it was a bad time. But instead of everybody coming to the plate to create better cars, they changed the rules and changed australian racing forever. Talk on the net, a lot of the older people still remember the Bathurst races and they were known world wide. I'd love to see Todays M3, Evo's, GTRs and WRX's getting around the track along with Monaros, XR6 Turbos and Ford GTs. But instead we are stuck with the v8 super cars...
  19. Spot 57IGG parked around grand plaza/westpoint all the time, example tonight. Looked lifeless sitting in the carpark alone.. parked between 2 cars. You wouldn't happen to know the driver of the R34 4 door would you? I always see it there, brother works at the HJs heh.
  20. Hello again! Spoke to you on the phone today, welcome and enjoy. Good luck finding a clean example, they are beautiful cars Hope to see you in person sometime soon. Cheers, Ben
