  1. I'm in. Got the car going nicely care of Dan! Woot! Here's hoping traffic isn't too bad though
  2. I wouldn't mind coming and sussing out some cars at the meet point, but I have a date with Dan, my major service, woot! Next cruise I'm in! Hopefully with a FMIC, more boost and a tune! Finally it shall all come together!
  3. Spotted a White R34 near Habour town down the coast yesterday afternoon, around 5 I think. Dropping the sister home... damn uni on the coast! A black R32 parked at the yatala bp last night. Don't think he was a SAU type person though I think I saw Destro ala Ben along browns plains road sometime last night... around marsden, you boosted through a yellow light, naughty naughty, though the car next to you was doing the same (lacking boost) hehe.
  4. GtrVspec don't worry about him, he is far better then us. He never drifts over the speed limit, or brakes a bit late... or even sneezes while driving. He is our master! No point explaining what happened, ohh ahh I got a ticket. If he's offering to buy my engine obviously his engine lacks the ability to exceed the speed limit, let alone match it.
  5. geeteaess_turbo you're a clever fellow aren't you. Yeah I was doing about 180km/h and I hit the anchors, luckily they couldn't get a reading soon enough.... tosser. Good to see the maxe children still flock together, mummy and daddy still buying your cars? waiting for an aunt to die to collect money for mods? or just relying on the dole payments? I'm sure bj will be happy to hear you're all still circle jerking each other!
  6. I attended a corp. get together at the kingston park race way... terrible place but I haven't let it get in my way of the sport. I was reading about those superkarts... they are just insane! 300km/h on a track... in such a tiny little kart. I believe it was the Philip Island track... It's just... crazy!
  7. Topkart, I saw you post in the motorsport section (I was poking around in there ). Wasn't sure who was a QLD'er to ask about such things Yeah, I believe they are 2 stroke, so should be good. My dad has been talking about go-karts for years, saying I should do that instead of playing with my car. After finally listening (damn kids these days), I see what he means, lots of fun and without the same level of cost. When it gets a bit closer and I get an idea of how many are coming, I'll organise a pre-meet up point and time etc...
  8. RB20, not bad. Why not RB26? They belong in GTRs only, when I can get a GTR, I'll have a RB26 Was a good run, the roads were pretty crap though, next time I suggest somewhere with decent roads.
  9. Hehe, saw a R33 white with black aftermarket bonnet (carbon fiber??) along Johnson rd heading west towards whoop whoop. I was in the Red Rolla, hence no wave. Spotted a Silver R33 in the Maccas carpark at Westpoint. Spotted that Silvier R32 4 door again the other night at the westpoint shops.... Who are you
  10. Back when I may have needed a battery I was told battery world. They said bring the car in, they'll match up a battery and could supply replacement brackets if needed. No appointments or that jazz, just turn up and say what you want.
  11. Also the double points on school holidays isn't in effect... just a rumour that goes around now. I got done at a toll gate new years day, was late breaking, I only lost the normal points. I'm not stressed over it... it's a bullshit fine as they were hiding behind the toll gates and I was only 10m from the 60 sign when tagged. But yeah you got the new double points crap, I wasn't done 20km/h over (less thankfully), so it's a non-issue to me. Don't feel bad though, my dad has been on good behaviour for 8 months now.... I've only got 1 point left so I'm currently el-grandma behind the wheel. It's really not worth speeding anymore at any time, the cops are everywhere at the worst of times, and cheating things such as video tape and not even pull you over in a unmarked car... dodgey.
  12. Was good to put more faces to names. At least I remember the names and faces Karen... my name isn't Adam Sucked playing passenger, but Dan takes mine on Sunday, so I should be back in action then. Though I just got offered a RB25 Silvia... I'm tempted to take it for various reasons. What's lee running? RB25?
  13. Yeah the HICAS ecu is there also. Nothing to worry about or get excited about behind there.
  14. Just on a side note, can I suggest a crazy R33 GTR or even a R34 GTR with mods. From what I've seen if you're in QLD as long as you can get the import papers aboved mentioned and a RWC (no emmissions tests here) you should be fine. Though I'd suggest side intrusion bars for your own safety. Good luck mate!
  15. I believe it's 9am as their site doesn't say a time, but that appears to be the general time they open. Cost: Like the best things in life, totally free. But I'd suggest some cash for food or drinks. I see it as a more affordable way to get into motorsport until I am finished uni. Bad enough owning a skyline, let alone racing one
  16. Okay Heres Goes, sorry for delay, personal reasons 10th Feb 2007 Meet Hungry Jacks Westpoint, Browns Plains. Along Browns Plains road opposite Grand Plaza Shopping Centre at 8am (yes early). Leaving 8:30am (may stick around a bit longer to make sure everybody has made it). Heading along the motorway towards Ipswich and then to the Track. Should arrive sometime after 9am (upto 10am). I called Debbie as per WiZardOz's advice (Cheers for that!). We are most welcomed, lets try get a decent number turn up! Covered shoes are the only requirement, but I suggest hats, sunscreen, decent clothing and some water. I'd also suggest some cash for things such as toll and other drinks/food. My Mobile is 0433621708 if anybody needs anything drastic. Currently I'm playing a lone warrior, so if anybody needs a ride, you could grab a bus to Grand Plaza. To get to Browns Plains you can either take Beaudesert road south/west or Take the Logan Motorway and take the Beaudesert Road exit. If you have any issues I know the area like the back of my hand and feel free to call me! Hope to see everybody bright and early, and we have a great day! Cheers, Ben
  17. I'd say look at a R32 four door.. but you mentioned space There was a 4 door R33 in white, auto going for $10,000 when I bought mine. I'd say if you offered a few of the 4 door guys forsale 10,000 cash in hand they'd take it as 33's aren't getting difficult to sell Good luck convincing the missus though, I've seen a R33 4 door at the local shops with a wife and kids riding inside. Let me say, I wish I was that kid... rather be pulled around in a 33 then my dads old commodores and crap
  18. Put me down as LightAssassin + 1. He is looking to become a member but after purchasing his suspension then being mugged in his own home, he hasn't excatly had the time or money to do anything. His is a Black R33 Series 1, so it won't look out of place anyway Going to be fun to play co-pilot for a change heh. I'd drive mine, but the major service is being done by Dan this weekend, so I miss the boat damn 100,064km! Haven't driven it in spirit since it hit 99,000 as I didn't want anything to go bang
  19. Wow... great helpful post there Nisskid, I'm sure the OP has taken your post into consideration as it would be definately the most helpful post so far. Take your childish comments elsewhere. Perhaps you should go hang out with the boostcruising boys.
  20. I started by looking for a Silvia/180SX then decided they were only slackers compared to skylines (I'm not interested in drift). I thought that R32's were the car for me... until I drove a R33. Then things changed dramatically. R33 is a larger car.. but the weight difference is not big at all, and the handling isn't poor it's designed to have more luxury. Spend the same on suspension and both cars will handle quite similar. But you also have to remember the RB25 is heavier, so put a RB25 into a R32 and it should even out to be about the same weight/handling. Personally, I went with the R33. Performance was far superior and with few mods far more power. The gearbox is stronger also (GTR gearbox in RWD form). Extra space is a blessing, not a burden. More choice of lower KM models. Still being imported (more parts around after people crash theirs). Private road (yep got access to one), friends R32 GTS-4 vs my R33 the 33 was the winner without too much effort. Stock to stock with the AWD advantage to him. Buy the 33, get a fmic, boost controller, new fuel pump and a tune, should see a nice power output, then spend 2k on a suspension kit and you'll have a mean and quick skyline. Buy a 32 with a RB25 and do the same. Both would end up the same. In the end it comes down to style, I like 32's and I like 33's. Though I decided 33 in the end. Choices Choices!
  21. Dan's on holiday at the moment and working from home. Best way to contact him is his e-mail address, so e-mail him and he'll give you a contact number. Awesome guy and he's doing my major service this weekend. He's been building a RB30/25 for somebody as of late and it sounds like he gives it 100% too. He'll of course try his best to find out what caused it too so you know what else may be at fault. Good luck and sad to hear about the engine!
  22. Sounds fun to me, should be able to scam some cash for my 21st and buy a oil cooler for the event. (Power pfft, need reliability!) Would be great to finally get on the track. May 17 has my vote.
  23. Post from last year? ... Some drug induced post from a female who hasn't got their license? ... I read the first post... then noticed the date... knew it was going to have pointless comments Isn't it time groups got together about this and decided to do something? I mean realistic groups who consider driver training a good idea, not making it so if you're headlight is out on one side you lose your license. I have no idea how to put together such a lobbying group or whom to speak to about it, but it would be far more constructive then just making the same posts over and over.....
  24. Seen a couple around, nice cars. My mate was considering one.. but he got bitten by the evil bug (after crashing his R32 gts-4). I'm proud to say he purchased a 260Z with a RB20DET conversion. Lets just say the cops have no idea what they are looking at. Though when we line up infront of the ladies the 33 wins hands down. Back to the luxobarge, it's quick enough in a straight line... I for one can't stand auto (been in a auto vt for a week... waiting for my daily). A cressy with a 1jz conversion and 5 speed would be far sexier imo. Cops would leave you alone, nobody would notice you, and if you want, get a body kit, decent rims, and it has most the features already. Plus having access to local parts would make things cheaper to run and repair. Good luck with your choice, I went for a ride in one while testing cars (I didn't drive... wanted to play passenger heh) awesome ride quality... bit boaty, but decent suspension upgrade could help.
  25. Some tempers soaring in here, and people getting personal. I'm in for it! Bad drives annoy me, not because I'm scared of what they'll do to me, but what they'll do to the family of 5 when their awesome stunt goes out of control and hit their car... Some of you need to go spend a couple months in a emergency ward, my mother worked there... just the few things I saw were enough to make you fear bad driving. For all you having a go at his post, and saying get over it. Come back and say it when you see a 4 year old screaming in the back of a car while it's mother is bleeding to death in the front seat after some clever person in a car lost control because he was being unsafe. The police say they are trying to stop this by going after speeders... you don't have to go over the speed limit to crash a car and kill somebody. What happens to a person's body when hit at 40km/h while they walk down the street when the mad drifter loses it? One day... you'll see the pain and destruction is causes, and for your sake I hope it's not your helpless loved one walking the street, driving that car or being responsible for such an action...
