  1. Destero wasn't me, but saw the aftermath (brother works at westpoint hungry jacks). I've seen your car around... I don't tend to wave down this way as the locals are less then lovely. Tell you last night was a shit night to be in Brown Stains. Friend was going from the RSL to Maccas and got attacked by 3 pieces of crap, And the M1 car club was doing laps along Browns Plains road (VLs, VNs, VRs, Utes, Falcons, R31's, and varios other crapboxes... sadly one owned a 180SX). Cops down here are pathetic, 1 cop car for the surrounding area on duty at night, glad I live a decent enough drive away... Also always seen a 4 door silver R32 with big front mount going along mt lindsay, you wave and I wave. Be nice to know who you are though
  2. Not looking to swap anymore, just sell. Sorry mate, good luck with the sale. Cheers, Ben
  3. Updated, and bumped. Have some personal things going on so looking to sell. Feel free to make offers. Cheers, Ben
  4. The rims suit a R33 gts-t... I don't know what the second set of holes suit as they are multifit. Cheers, Ben
  5. No the real solution is that everybody doesn't goto work and leave work at the same time... but that's a crazy idea. Problem with the other cities is they just don't have the support that Brisbane city has. I'm cool with all the people moving here, I was born here and bought up here (well mostly), so I can see the appeal to many others. Though the crime rate has risen lately, but I personally think it has more to do with police spending too much time and effort on traffic fines then drug related offenses (yes, there are many), but then again, traffic offenses are easily proven, while the justice system is weak against drug dealers etc...
  6. After being down in Melb, you're far better off in Brisbane with an import. You guys have so many crazy things going on... especially with the police and hidden speed cameras (I didn't personally drive there thankfully). Your laws are far harsher with the roadies etc... In QLD as long as you follow the directions as pointed out by the transport department, you get away with plenty. Exhaust under 100db, secured pod filters, fmic, no emission tests, must have a cat, must be at least 100mm off the ground at the lowest point, road worthy tires, not blowing mass amounts of smoke, what ever turbo you like, most rims are allowed, etc... etc... Recently had 4 girls move up here from Adel, they love it up here, say there is so much more to do etc... Plus living near the Gold coast is a plus, I doubt I'd live down there though haha.
  7. I have 255s on the rear, no scraping and everything standard (height/guards). Do the job just fine. Doubtful that 295's would fit without some sort of modification.

  9. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=149556 Sorry posted it twice by mistake, please check other post.
  10. Hey guys, Just looking for a daily... after anything upto 3k as it's my limit. Looking for one ASAP. Can be a 4 or 6 cylinder, wouldn't mind a R31 manual. Prefer 4 doors but will accept 2 door. Has to be manual (I can't stand auto), must have RWC and rego, and finally a working stereo. May be interested in one without stereo but much prefer it. Location is Brisbane, I'm on the southside but don't mind travel upto an hour and a half from where I live. e-mail [email protected] or pm me Cheers, Ben
  11. I was at car wash, I was already stopped you drove past. You live local I guess? Got a mate on Browns Plains road with a black R33, not to be confused with the black R33 in Marsden that does skids a fair bit (something PSI plates). Use to stir him up when I worked for dominos driving the echo, go skyline go! lol I saw a couple cars going the opposite way along the bruce highway... drove to noosa and back, bit hard to wave and didn't pay enough attention to remember, but hello anyway haha.
  12. You see R32 GTRs trying to sell for 18,500 and not selling... So yeah... luck I was going to sell mine and get a R32 GTR... buy as it appears the efforts as most definately pointless.... So I shall keep my car and work on it You could always try boostcruising (er...), performanceforums.org (I think... google performance forums with pages from australia only selected) and you could try nissansilvia.com, the trading post... I don't know anywhere else off the top of my head. Good luck, you've got I want (R32 with R33 engine) but alas, can't get rid of mine
  13. Did this out of boredom even though my boost controller goes in when the boost gauge goes in. I believe the dual stage is there for safety reasons, not all Japanese owners would be race car drivers and people came in my car would shit themselves at 5 psi. Also, went for a run to test it all out, went off in first and where I usually just planted it and grabbed traction instead it just gave some wheel spin. Boost comes on around 2750... so I can see why 5 psi is there till 4500rpm as it has less of a "BOOST JUST KICKED IN Y0" and more of a "fast... ohh my 4500rpm... FASTER". cheers for the simple mod, improve the mid range by far for some quick shits and giggles.
  14. Get a good suspension setup and decent tyres, spend the rest on mods and driver training... RWD isn't that bad... most racing cars still are RWD. Conversion is annoying and tricky, that's why most just use the R33 gts-t box (same as the r32 gtr... only missing transfer case) and bolt it upto the RB26DETT in the gts-ts. Quick simple and power. Or you could just build the RB25 and have a beast... Options Options
  15. Spotted the Pink skyine with black bonnet owned by the bird who went on the SAU cruise. Saw you heading along chambersflat road around 11pm. Was at the car wash. Waved... but don't think you saw ^_^
  16. I'd be pissed if they did that to me... actually my work is f**king me around. Time to play hard ball because I got them by the balls at the moment Merry christmas everybody! Woot to Gauges, Skyline Shirts, Nissan Watch and Initial D R32 GTR car. I get the feeling my family and friends think I'm some kind of skyline nut!
  17. Not a clever time to go running around mt nebo, or anywhere for that matter. Imports, muscels, euros everywhere... and for that matter coppers. My suggestion, steer clear of the roads. Don't be a statistic
  18. I for one am glad. Not allowed to post opinion on the forums but my glee should show how I feel. Now if only a couple other car yards would close down I'd be the happiest man around. Heres to closing down, and not just relocating
  19. RC Auto, was just asking to see if anybody did know, I don't take forum posts as the word of god... mostly I was curious and bored stiff in a training session for work software I can already use. For future reference, buying local would be ideal. Decided against the GTR at the current time anyway, looking for a 32 witha rb25det instead.
  20. Cruise Pic Just remembered, has Nismo clear side indicators, and M spec front bar, side skirts and series 2 wing.

  22. Easy enough job... Especially the backs. Did my own at home with some wheel stands. If you can get access to a hoist as offered I'd jump at it, makes things so much easier and you can inspect other things while you're at it. Just make sure you get it all aligned and balanced after and you'll be ace. Was a 2 man job for me... well 2 persons, my self and my 16 year old brother. 2 backs went in within 2 hours, and I did some other crap behind the seats while at it. Good luck, hahahaha!
  23. I'm not rushing into anything.. this is going to be a nice few months before I even go look at local GTRs. Just looking into the information for what there is, how much things cost, and what condition they are in. Yes it's a gamble, but after buying a local skyline... it wouldn't make a super difference. My line had only been in the country 6 months before I purchased it, got all the checks and it came back dandy... but it still had issues. I expect issues, it's an old car now. And I'm not looking at value for money, I'm looking for a good car. Cars are a waste of money anyway Purely for enjoyment. At the end of the day, if I decide against the GTR (which I may well do) for the time being and instead do some mods to the GTS-t and save towards a house instead. Then I'll have at least learnt what it takes when I finally decide to make the next step Ahh the R32 GTR, the dream car *love*
  24. Mines blinks at the normal rate... he is telling porkies! Get the sensor checked out or tell the seller you want it fixed before you buy it! Check if he just cuts the wire behind the dash for the light =\ Plenty of auto skylines going... was a nice white 4 door one going while I was looking. I wanted a manual, but damn it was nice and clean. Good luck.
  25. Ta, Sorry Troy, but you were the one person I just spoke to without asking a name. Doh! I was late to work in the morning..... more due to the fact I'd never been to this other place for training and road works had the city all weird... I got lost for an hour... ha... crap
