  1. Its easy as pie Unbolt, way bar and upright, pop that cap off, undo the bolt and it slides right out. Press old bearings out, press now ones in, fill with grease and done.

  3. High temps alone wont really crack it, Ive had mine glowing on the dyno and it never cracked. But Shock loading it will. Driven through any big puddles or anything Genelle?

  5. All but one exhaust guy I have ever met has had no farking idea. Their industry is full of old wives tales. Go ask any exhaust bloke to make a set of headers, and once he is done ask him what rpm band they were built for and do they match the cam choice etc...

  9. probably not tuned for low MAP high tps. also 5-6% power loss per 1000ft altitude as a rule of thumb
  10. Peak EGT is at stoich (14.7:1 for petrol) Richer or leaner results in lower EGTs So being lean on the highway isn't the issue. Id say the issue lies in how the exhaust is supported.

  14. Way to be selective in what you read..... The whole point of VCT is that you can have the (int eh case of a RB25) intake cam set for max twist down low, then have it change over to carry the torque curve further up the rev range.... But Porsche, Ford, Merc, BMW etc etc must all be wrong......
  15. ok...ls coils have issues with too much dwell causing pre ignition. back the dwell off and see if it helps
  16. im leaning towards timing scatter. but what coils are in there? other option is some sort of f**ked up quench design with the piston/decked head
  17. Has to run on 98 and you have to stop spending somewhere Everyone would love V-cam....but cant always afford it
