  2. Very true. Been looking at those brackets that US mob are making....cant say im a fan....look like they would flex a whole bunch! being 10(ish)mm aluminium. Though I may buy the 4 pot brackets, and If I'm unhappy, have the bracket remade in 4140 or something.
  3. There are about 3 million different variants of the HX35. Only about 2 of them are any good in a performance application.
  4. Not on an LS, But it depends on the pipes...2 1/8 try-ys with a crap collector will lose more bottom end than a set of 1 3/4" 4into1s with a good collector. That said, I've had a bit to do with, Hi Torque, he did the tuning on a heap of mates LS commodores years ago, he knows his way around an LS so I would listen to what he has to say.

  7. If Standard cam, unported heads etc go Try-Y If its ported, cammed, with short gearing or high-stall, and want to go drag racing go 4-1 There is a big difference in bottom end grunt, between the two

  11. if an engine fails...and doesn't just wear out. then the components can't handle the application. Adams car lasted 1 event. It may throw the legs out of bed next time he drives to the shops. are you prepared for a massive engine failure op?
  12. I love posts like that...because what does "can take" actually mean? 1 hour? 1 year? 10 years?
  13. yeah....but he is proving a point....not sure what that point is exactly....but im sure it is pertinent. but hey...300 dollar used pistons.....what could go wrong...
  14. not only that but 2k worth of pistons.....

  21. What size rotor are they quoting? These need a 355mm rotor at minimum, guys are selling them with a 350mm rotor and it's causing issues...at least that is what a reputable brake company is sydney told me. Although If I can fit 355mm rotors under my wheels, I'll be all over this
