  1. Fans on the front of the radiator block airflow at high speed. Also having an RB26 jammed in an engine bay designed for a 4 cylinder isnt going to help.
  2. SAU is good for info like that, go ask a V8 builder about their Jet specs for a carburettor, you would be lucky if they didnt back hand you, same goes for cams/port work, the good guys wont tell you nothing, I know heaps of guys with Big power race V8s who dont even know what the specs are because the builder wont tell the owner. It makes perfecet business sence, because the good guys earn good money becuase they are good, if they gave away their secrects then every wannabe pro-engine builder would copy them. Imports are easy because everyone is lazy and leave the heads stock or near stock and just add boost, and its easy to look for the plate that says "GT3037S" etc and build the same engine.
  3. Ditch the POS X-Force mufflers and some decent quality ones in there.
  4. Bout time this car showed up in here. Looking good P.s How did you go with dick face from Soarer-Central?
  5. If its 125 accross all 6 it might be fine, was the motor hot or cold, dont forget forged pistons sit loose in the bores when cold.
  6. Isnt the Patrol a Seperate Chassis and the Skyline a Monocoque? Would make it kinda hard to mate the 2 together.
  7. Ti Valves will last 1500ks at best before they need to be thrown out and have the seats re cut.
  8. .....They see me trollin..... Oh Hai
  9. Only thing with running the federal RSR's is that you are instantly 2 secs a lap slower over RE55's even more so if you run AO50's or DZ03's. A mate of mine was QLD u16's cart champ a few years back....carting is all about budget/the best equipment, he went from mid pack with a cheaper cart, then bought the best cart avaliable and blitzed the field everyrace without trying. So its cheaper if you wanna go have fun, but if you want to win it gets just as expensive as running a car at supersprint days. Which is why I never bought a cart when I had the chance. Not saying dont do it, because its awesome fun.
  10. The folks on their way to lawn bowls or golf on Sunday mornings seem to be enjoying the drive in their Camry's, so much so that they drive really slow to savor the moment.
  11. My god. No wonder I rarely venture to this part of the forum. I live an breathe engines...so you go ahead and keep being incorrect and pulling your dick over your "sequential auto box" and I'll go on my merry way.

    R35 Rims Cracking!

I had a pair of Rays wheels do exactly that, It simply is caused by a big hit whether it be a road join or pot hole. Mine was a road join at a bridge doing 110km/h on the way to heathcote raceway in Vic, did it to my 2 front wheels, no other sign of damage etc just 2 big bloody cracks.
  13. Your talking about the Harmonic Balancer El Daveo? I must check mine...got a bit of a vibration at idle and I dont know if the exhaust vibrating or the balancer.
  14. So you did it huh Good stuff
  15. The combustion chamber is measured in CC's....thats part of the head and can play a big role in how an engine performs. Also port volumes are measured in CC's Manual Valve bodies in an Auto does not make it a sequential box...its an Auto with a manual valve body Anyway this isnt a thread about A340's so STFU now kthx
  16. It does suck that these companies are going belly up. But the prices they are asking (im not just talking about ARC here either) are just stupid...DO these companies not know that there are now heaps of import parts being produced by American and Australian Companies that offer the same level of quality but at 1/3 the price. Asking 2000 dollars for a 15 year old design intercooler kit is a bit silly. The prices should drop as time goes by and after they have paid off their R&D costs, as per the American market. Think the LS1 V8 for example, 12-14 years ago stroker kits were US$15k+ now the very same kit is US$6k or less, and the company has developed cheaper kits as the market became available for them to do so. The Japanese tuning companies have not, and IMO we the buyer have had enough of paying through the nose for a HKS/GReddy/ARC/Tomei stamp on the side, especially when the product dates back to the mid 90's, and we have local product here we can buy for much less. Another E.G is JUN con rods, they are Produced by Arrow in the UK, and cost around AUD$2K for a set of 6, now you can buy the exact same product minus the JUN packaging for around AUD$1200 from Arrow. Maybe the Japanese car owners do not research their stuff and simply point at a workshop car and say "I want the exact same as that" or they believe the parts list has to have all the big names on the side. I'm not sure, I did see above that they were moving towards the Cheaper Chinese Sourced parts like HPI etc. Anyway I may be way off, but there is my tree fiddy
  17. And gogo gadget Soarers http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKYIcLWAwR0&feature=related
  18. You said sequential gearbox for starters...but ill leave it there. yeah yup...a head sure does have cc ratings.... Noel - you are old and your ears cant handle the 1jz scream also the body is fine...the dash is gross...but Id live with it
  19. As for the 26 head on a 30.....well that makes you sound rather daft. RB26 head has 2 cams, 4 valves/cylinder solid lifters etc compared to the RB30 head which is SOHC 2 valve and hydraulic lifters
  20. WTF calm down! He said that an RB26 is 400cc smaller than a 2J Also fow do you have no problems flowing over 1000hp when you havent made 1000hp yet?
  21. Actually, while Im on the subject of Sport Compact Drag classes, what are the rules re: 2 power adders? eg n2o and a Turbo, its not allowed for the V8 guys, is sport compact any different...been a few years since I looked through the Andra Rule book.
  22. What class will this be running under? Pro RWD or something else?
