Take the first of the T88-38gk's they had a billet comp wheel, then they went to the cast wheel...any difference....maybe 100 on an Insane RB or JZ, real world...no difference Borg Warner have been using billet comp wheels for yonks yet no-one has said they are any better than the previous ones

  7. Forget the cheap stainless crap. 6-boost or ETM or whoever else is doing custom manifolds will be able to build one with plenty of bonnet clearence. eg I had a TD07S on a 6 boost manifold on an RB25/30 and it cleared the bonnet fine in my R33
  8. Gt35 really is too big for the standard exhaust manifold, a 3076 would have been a better choice imo. But as you said you will want more later so save up for an ETM or 6 boost manifold

Things also move slowly because so many people talk up products that have yet to be tested, then the "real" data comes out and people rubbish them because they didnt perform as well as what some guys on the internet say they should sure the compressor map shows it will make more power, but simply saying the GTX blah blah WILL make more power than a Blah Blah is simply rubbish, they are only going to be slightly better and most of that will come from running a 58 trim comp wheel. So until I see a few results back to back (and by that I mean run gt35R on dyno, take turbo off on the dyno and strap the GTX35R on and run on the dyno with nothing other than tuning changed), I will continue to be skeptical

  13. 4" inlet....so just about every air filter manufactuer makes one to fit. P.s It will go on the compressor housing not the turbine housing

  21. Will drive shite. Over cammed for street duties and the R33 turbo will still only just make 200rwks, wil be ok from 4000 up but trying to drive around carparks or to the shops would be painfull. That is my opinion, im sure others will say omg its got cams so its sick. Have a look at the Kando T67 thread, for $1000 bucks they are impossible to beat. if its a streeter have a look at a TD06-20G-L2 and use an adaptor off the standard exhaust manifold or even use a cheapy ebay manifold until you can afford a good one. But yeah, I wouldnt even bother with a standard turbo.

Why is it, that my family has had a Ea falcon since 1992 and nothing ever went wrong with it! apart from the normal car mantinence stuff (suspension bushes clutch timing chain etc) Also have a BA and BF XR6 currently and nothing has ever gone wrong. but my R33 went through 3 engines in 3 years, clutch pivot ball broke etc etc Im sorry but the aussie cars just keep going and going and going, sure the odd one has a few problems. the problems above..well one was obv a work ute and how many of the BTR 4 speed falcon autos have I seen fail....NONE! including those with 150000ks+ and running 11s behind turbo/supercharged 4 & 5 Litre motors And the fact that my mate just bought a mint BF GT-P for $25k has sealed the deal that I will never buy another Skyline (exept maybe a GTR for track duties)
  23. How does adjusting a cam gear smooth out a power curve? it just shifts it left or right
