JDM cars have a few benefits... The JDM Spec R engine has 184kW, compared to the 147kW for the AUS spec, same as the S14 series. Better trim, with cool colours on seats and door trims, A-pillar boost gauge, better stereo, climate control, and a ball bearing turbo (i think anyway) Personally I'd like the GT spec AUD S15, with leather, etc but good luck finding one

I've done this car before, and its going up for sale so the owner asked me for a quick pre-sale cleanup. Didn't go nuts with this car removing swirls and scratches, just wanted to make it look decent for the sale. Plus its a not a proper paid job Don't have any before pics but it was in pretty good shape, well looked after and garaged with some usual dirt and grime and lack of wax etc The outside was washed with Bowden's Body Gel, clayed with Meguair's clay and Megiuar's Last Touch as clay lube. The roof and bootlid had a quick polish with Meguiar's Ultimate Compound to remove some deep-ish scratches, light oxidation and water marks... poor colour match on the rear door/quarter evident in the first pic too Engine bay was cleaned with Bowden's Agent Orange and plastics dressed with 303 Aerospace... Wheels were cleaned with Bowden's Wheely Clean and some random brushes, then sealed with Chemical Guys Wheel Guard. Tyres were cleaned with Agent Orange and dressed with Meguiar's Endurance Gel. Wheel arches were also dressed with Bowden's Tyre Shine Interior got a good vacuum, cleaned with Autoglym Interior cleaner, plastics dressed with 303 Aerospace, leather wheel and gearknob cleaned and treated with Lexol products and glass done with Meguiar's Glass Cleaner. Door, bonnet and boot jambs done with Last Touch (awesome all-round quick detailer and cheap in bulk)... And finally, the outside got a layer of Meguiar's Step 2 Deep Chrystal Polish for a bit more gloss and swirl filling, then a coat of Collinite 476s for protection. Outside plastic trims, wiper arms and door frames all got a layer of 303 Aerospace as well -
I'm dealing with Just Cars now after a random woman love tapped my passenger quarter panel. Pretty smooth sailing except they want me to go to one of their "smart" shops where cars are done in two days... Some net research suggests they are run like prisons, do everything on the cheap and have a bad name in the industry. So, I'm not very keen, as I'm very fussy with any work

The goal is to take off the least amount possible. But as far as I know even a fairly aggressive buff will only take off about 10 microns, however, its not something you want to do every 6 months... Sometimes better to leave some swirls behind.

Rattling Noise Over Bumps From Rear Of Car
junkie replied to INSANITI's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Could be missing anti-rattle clips on the rear brake pads. Some monkey mechanics simply leave them out -
High quality work - many people don't realise how much time and effort goes into making a car look that good, especially when you pay attention to all the small details

I had some random dude at a BP servo try to demo the FW1. Mind you my Skyline was washed the night before, waxed a week before that and had rain-x on the glass. He sprayed some on the glass and wiped it off and I go meh... Don't see any difference. Then he tried it on my paint, same result. The he goes oh this stuff will really bring up your yellow lights. And... No difference (the lights are actually yellow thru the plastic) He gave up after that. LOL. As far as the product itself, don't know much about it but heard its pricey

I was looking at this product which looks exactly like what you are after: http://www.chemguys.com.au/Waterless_Wash_And_Wax_With_Kaolin_Clay_p/wac_100_16.htm

New Purchase! 1992 Subaru Liberty Rs Wagon Manual

Great cars, just be careful with the "glass" gearbox. Has a rep for being very fragile and unable to handle the all wheel drive grip with some lead footed driving (as MCM Marty found out) -
Pivot Mega Raizin Voltage Stabiliser - Myth Or Magic?
junkie replied to Sinista32's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Clean, rust free factory grounding points will do just fine. The grounding kits were all the rage ages ago, then people released they are about as useful as the "energy polariser" on hdt vl commys, fuel line magnets and vortex generators for your intake -

Nice work gents. I've been mega lazy lately and only doing some basic washing... nothing pic worthy -
LOL How about the white RX-7 on the website? 56,000km and steering wheel and drivers seat have double the wear of my 200SX thats got 115,000km now. There is also a black FTO with 68k - judging from pics, in the same condition as my woman's Mirage, that rolled over 165k now, and been used daily without much special care. What a joke

Shannons wanted $2700 for my taxi spec 35, which must also be garaged at night. No thanks... They also bumped my s14 premium from around $1500 to almost $2000 when I moved out to Bankstown, thats for a car thats always garaged and under limited use policy. Yes I know the area plays a big role but thats just way too much of a price jump Made the move to LSV, half the Shannons quote and pretty much the same benefits. Dont have any issues chaning companies now, loyalty counts for squat these days -
People Don't Want To Race Our Skylines.......
junkie replied to Goombeh's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
I'm from Bankstown!! One thing ive noticed here, ever since the turbo restrictions, is a crapload of late 90s civics and pulsars full of p-platers who try out-penis each other with their awesome "flooring it" in first and second skills On friday was on the M4 with my 35, and some dopey ass red p-plater did three fly-bys in the space of a few mins, with me doing a constant 110. He would just slow down then go around me, nearly falling over on the side in the process. The retard was on a mission to impress me with his triton ute. I thought, meh, dont care, youre not worth my time and energy. Pretty much the same with most people who wanna race. Dont give a sh*t, i enjoy my cars in my own way, got nothing to prove to random tossers -
