  1. Hey all, I posted this a while back, still havent had any luck and hoping someone might know something. I'm looking for a place in melb where I can hire out their equipped workshop on an hrly/daily basis to do my woodwork/metalwork projects. Basic equipment like bansaws, lathes, mills, disc sanders, ect. vac form facilities would be great, mini spray booth. I had all this at the uni workshop at monash which was great. Really miss it when I come up with projects. So if anyone knows of a place or similar, feel free to share. Thanks in advance.
  2. lol was gonna say the same thing though i didnt want to endorse it....just suggest it. hopefully he'll lose is license for a while, have a hard time getting to work or anywhere else for that matter. but by the sounds of it he wont learn anything and drive anyway.
  3. the guys a total dropkick. see if you can get some free legal advice.
  4. you supplied them a new throw out bearing and they didnt install it first time? Thats a bit slack. Did they even install the new spigot bush? possibly somethings not dissengaging properly. I've got an exedy hd cushion and it will "grind" loudly first thing in the morning when nothing is warmed up when I ride it abit when reversing out the driveway. I just step on the clutch again to make it go away. Dissapears straight away as I drive off and is fine for the rest of the day, only first thing in the morning or when the car hasnt been driven for a while. I dont like your chances of getting a full refund....but they should fix the problem at least free of charge.
  5. i thougth it was ok to have darker tint on the back and rear quarts. its just the drivers and passengers that have to be legal
  6. you got done for the passenger and driver windows right? dont be tight, pay someone to retint it professionally. you'll feel better for it in the end
  7. do you have pics of the sideskirts? what colour. any damage?
  8. ive fitted a fat oddesy battery in my car before. you just need to buy a new bracket for $10 or so. It is abit of a stretch to get the connectors onto the terminals but it does fit. have you test fitted it yet? i wouldn't recomend putting it on its side.
  9. i own a 33 and i must admit it is quite tame in design lines compared to the 32 and 34. 32's are ageing very well, can never really get sick of them, 34's are just newer ha. i still like the old school gtrs
  10. it might be the worn pillow top. mine knocks on the right rear cause its worn.
  11. good stuff, wrong section though.
  12. my mate had an n/a 33 and it had that factory exhaust flap you talk about. something about controling exhasut back pressure
  13. my mate had an n/a 33 and it had that factory exhaust flap you talk about
  14. i dont have that either. is it just a rubber puck or is there wires coming from it? maybe its a rubber mount/spacer of some sort.
  15. people become too complacent and take driving for granted. it is untill they get in an accident or loose their license that they understand its a priveledge to have a license. then there are those as above who just dont learn at all. thanks buddy for your part in getting these people off the road.
  16. +1 for the exact same reason. I have had my fair share of close calls with idiots when approaching lights/intersections/corners.
  17. aint no fun in letting someone else pick a car for ya.
  18. even though its a tricky situation, you did decide to go ahead with the install of the used clutch. should have let it sit there, contact slide and arange a replacement eventhough it is inconvenient. its a hard one. i think he does have responsibility to replace, but im not sure about reimbursing you for an installation you didnt agree with him to prior.
  19. thats a bloody top job in the end with the finishing and all. still looks wrong though..ha. why dont they just make something completely different. maybe that stereotype is true, the japs are good at copying stuff.
  20. yeah they do look pretty gheeey
  21. just reach down from the grill (after you remove it of course) or from under the front bar (after you remove the plastic under tray of course). its quite straight forward if you have a good look at it.
  22. thats tuff. 7k value for your skyline? why so low? or is it just third party fire and theft payout?
  23. i too prefer to keep it in gear cause i feel more in control. Also lets me be in the right gear to get out of a sticky situation when needed. The only real time i coast is when theres non to little traffic around me.
  24. i used to let it warm up but i read it might glaze the engine so i just take it easy untill the car is up to running temp. saves on fuel too..ha. as for cool down, unless your drive way is at the end of a quarter mile, driving your car conservatively a couple blocks befor your home is more than enough to let it cool down i recon...then the ttimer will take care of the rest. mines set to only 30secs anyways, it used to be at 50secs but i found it pointless after a while.
  25. yep just an earthing wire
