  1. The problem is we are on an RCM, which is an older form of RIM, and they aren't able to be upgraded with a minimux. Which means the whole box has to be replaced. And from what I've been told by Telstra, there are no plans to upgrade it.
  2. Been hasslin them for about 18 months or more, and made no progress. All I'm after is my line specs which are detailed from an SQ test.
  3. Yeah I heard about the tree on the RIM story. Maybe a car could miraculously run over mine lol, just kidding. The problem is our RIM is actually an RCM, which can't be upgraded with a minimux, and Telstra wont spend the money. Have hassled Bigpond and Telstra Country Wide numerous times with no luck. Also am a member of whirlpool forums (no luck there). I have been told by my local member that our exchange will be upgraded as soon as september and there is a media release on his web site stating the same, but yeah, could all be a voting scam. Have exhausted every avenue possible, and only options are NextG (too friggin expensive) and subsidised satellite (metro comparable my ass). Or move house.
  4. Yeah man, @#$stra wont upgrade our RIM so we're stuck on dialup. Only hope now is to move, or might be able to get ADSL2+ when the exchange is upgraded by the new OPEL venture. I'm after the specific details of my phone line, to see if they've been yankin my chain. Can anyone help?
  5. Thats the main thing, by the way, do you know what part number they were?
  6. I put an R33 GTR pull type box in mine, I swapped the R33 sender for the Stagea auto sender. The wheels were different sizes, but they interchanged with no problems, works fine and indicates the exact speed as it did before the conversion.
  7. PM sent, anyone else?
  8. Just wondering if anyone here works for Telstra. After some info. PM me if you prefer. Cheers
  9. Installed a set of R33 splitfire coilpacks into my S1 Stagea, and they fit perfectly, installation was exact reversal of removal.
  10. What about getting rocker covers done?
  11. It should, mine did. The only thing that will stop it is the start inhibitor in the auto, which you would have bridged out, or it wouldn't start at all. Why dont you disconnect it and try, can't hurt.
  12. That might be your problem, mine idled better as I recall with the neutral switch not connected, so it always thinks it's in gear. Also I think when in neutral, it disables the VCT (not 100% sure, that is the case with a PFC though).
  13. What do you mean "bridged the neutral switch"?
  14. Mine idled a little higher after the conversion, but that was fixed with an idle readjustment. How have you guys got the wiring from the manual gearbox connected? this could be causing an issue. I remember having something similar with the neutral switch connected to the auto ECU, (leave it disconnected, only connect the reverse switch).
  15. Also check the rocker cover breather pipes, had to replace both of mine due to splitting from being heat affected.
  16. Fitted mine just now, required a bit of trimming on all ends but easy to do. Fits well, I'm very happy with it. Cheers again Bass
  17. I'd check your TPS adjustment, it could also be a vacuum leak somewhere.
  18. Slightly bad connection I'd say Nick, my ODO light goes out every now and then. I just give it a tap and it comes back on again.
  19. The reason is because they get a bit stiff, mine would only come out about half way. Pulled them apart, cleaned and regreased them and they work fine now. There is no contacts in there, they work off a timer or something I think.
  20. Received mine yesterday, will fit it this weekend. Cheers Bass
  21. Cheers Bass, looking forward to receiving it, and fitting it.
  22. My alternator puts out 13.8v solid, unless it's not supplying enough current. Will check to see if it gets worse with more load.
  23. It's definately the 4WD relay, you can feel it clicking if you put your hand on it. I think it's strange that it does this, It would have to be the relay for the Attessa pump.
  24. Mine does exactly the same thing, have tried to diagnose it, but got nowhere. Tried tracing things through the diagrams in the service manual, but had no luck.
