  1. Mclaren F1.... Dammmmm 1) Glad he enjoys it and makes use of it and 2) What drugs do I need to sell / grow / make to be able to afford a garage like that
  2. Yup.. I can relate to that and you want to get it sorted pretty quickly.. The guy I bought my car off had a farm in red hill down the mornington peninsula and left his (now my) car parked in the barn.. well the rats got to it and nibbled on anything rubber or plastic they could get their hands on... wiring loom... yummmmm ... just lucky I did not have to pay for it, because can you imagine the cost of a BMW engine wiring loom??? OUCH!
  3. Do you mean the E34, E39 or E60 M5? Only reason why I ask is that I have an E39 M5 (Imola Red/Caramel), that your more than welcome to have a drive of if you've not driven one before? As for my list.... 1) Aerial Atom 2-300 ... love that photo... instant facelift 2) Ascari KZ1 3) BMW X5 3.0 Diesel atom: super sounding, light as buggery, makes it the ultimate track toy... even Jeremy Clarkson liked it... ascari: ... has people saying.. its a what????.... and it has the same S62 that my car has.. 1:20 around the TG test track (10th fastest) is nothing to sneeze at. X5: Great for lugging prams, and all manner of child related paraphanalia.
  4. Sounds very good value indeed really.. just need to 'allocate' (read: hide) the appropriate funding
  5. See... even people with money can be stupid
  6. Well done to you sir. There was a good writeup on P1 in one of my BMWCAR magazines.. Damon hill runs the show. I'll try and scan it in for you all to read.
  7. Hi Steve, Thanks for that.. just that I am due for new tyres now and would not mind trying a set of pilots so I know if they are a good application for my car, so if theres enough tread then great, if not then no matter, I'll keep tyre shopping for new ones Cheers, Aaron
  8. I'm interested in the Michelin Pilot sport mate, (for the M5).... would it be possible to measure the tread depth by any chance? Im in Melbourne.
  9. Thats because the M3 is such a sorted piece of kit you have time to look at other things rather than managing to keep the GTR in a straight line
  10. If you have never been to PI you just HAVE to go....easily the best track around. I bought Andrew (Ferni) a day of BMW driver training there for his birthday with their fleet of M3's. Its an absolute hoot. Flying down the main straight looking at the ocean coming up at you rather quickly is a sight to behold

Hahaha true.. or the fact that his car was rarely pointing in the right direction. By the next one i'll have some decent tyres on. Continental Contact Sport 2's are rubbish (well on the M5 they are anyway)

Im happy to have taken out the "Standard BMW V8" class.... what do you mean it does not exist... well it bloody well should Great fun was had by all.. From the comments I got on the day I should win the "sounds good" door prize
  14. im there for the morning lillydale cruise.. I do like the back way with ferni ...and then there is the cruise
  15. Will be interesting for you guys.. Wonder where the IP will go in relation to their products. Look at companies like Commodore (put you hand up all those commodore 64 owners out there). That went bankrupt, and the IP for the products has been passing around from company to company for years now. DELL even owned it at one stage. They all promised to GPL the products that they now 'owned' but nothing ever came of it. Good luck.
  16. faxed and paid... helps when you have ferni working for you... you can get him to do all the work ferni.. now get back to work
  17. Ahhhhh but how many dead bodies can you fit in the boot? BMW design for about 3
  18. Congrats on the bubba... Do they make an R34 Station wagon or MPV?
  19. Other than me I dont know. Its normally a good day though, with a wide variety of marques represented.
  20. Hi all, The BMW car club of Victoria are having a sprint day at Phillip Island on the 14th of October. Entry is $220 and while entry is only open to BMWCCV members, but you can buy a day membership to BMWCCV for $10 on the day. Standard CAMS rules apply and below is a link to the supp regs. http://bmwccv.bmwclubs.asn.au/2006/Phillip...ns%2006%202.doc I know $220 + $10 is more than the WRX club but I just thought I would mention it. Cheers, Aaron
  21. Where do you send your oil. I've often wanted to send mine off like they do in the USA but did not get anywhere
  22. I suspect you are right.. shame.... as it would have been good fun with lots of track time.
  23. I completely agree. If those that are committed to this please add their name. We are going to need 6 cars. I think a meeting is a very good idea... Im up for one where ever it will be, but we need to act sooner rather than later. 1) Roy 2) Aaron 3) Chrisman 4) 5) 6) Interested 1) Rus 2) GTTR34
