  1. Hi guys Just want to let you know a have used the controller supplied by duncan team raceworx with great results, we able dial in the desired front torque. and achieve good lap times at different events. this is very effective on cars with high horsepower. i also have a grid dash dancer in the car which controls torque split with out the use og the g sensors and for circuit and sprint driving i would only use duncans unit, as it allows very good control. with out any diff windup which can become an issue. the product does an outstanding job. cheers Russell

hi guys thanks for your comments, the car went great and we had a blast. that was before the second last stage when we shit the engine after blowing a heater hose and cooking it!! oh well good time to put forgies in it i suppose. btw thanks duncan for the attessa controller it worked a treat! highly recommended. hope i can get around to some sprint days with you guys, but not till after next rally . too busy rebuilding! cheers russell

  4. hi there i have to tell you, my mods are very similar. n1 engine(as the engine was blown when bought the car) autronic & autronic cdi 4" gonzo exhaust ( not to loud) ppg 5 speed dog box ( this only went in a few weeks ago, as original box finally let go, 11.1 done on standard box) hks cams bosch pump & larger injectors (think 770cc??) fuel rail & reg 23 psi tomei baffles tomei metal gaskets koyo radiator and thermos (week ago) 6 piston ap's 365mm rotors(2 weeks ago) 18" r34 wheels hicas lock recaro drivers seat & rails interesting to note i actually went quicker when we dropped the power down, back around 320rwkw as 60 foot was quicker than we had been achieving, it was just easier to get off the line without wheel spin. the car has run through at 130 mph( but slower 60ft). i think the new gearbox would get a 11 flat or very high ten, it is lightening fast on gear changes now. my car is being setup for circuit and sprints also, thats what makes them so good great on the strip or circuit, or street. hope to see you round some time. cheers russ
  5. i have a gtr for sale (gun metal grey) also have another one i can take you for a run in, it ran 11.1 at willowbank a few weeks back. this engine is almost stock except changed headgasket and cams and baffles. (engine is n1 though) with standard n1 turbos. i have had wrx's and an xr6 turbo & these do not compare for outright power and performance if done correctly with relatively low mods. it is important to speak to the right people and and do the mods that count and keep reliability. for instance my car is getting above 350 kw at four wheels, with standard intercooler with good intake temps.(dont spend money on bling) if you would like to go for a quick test with me, you will understand just how good gtr's perform, email me [email protected] i work at rocklea. cheers russ
  6. I bought the car with a blown engine(now is N1 engine) from a guy locally here in brissy, he had been pretty rough with the car, so it has taken considerable time & money to get it back to top condition. thanks for the pics. Cheers Russell
  7. yeah just got the photos, they are great. wow nice skyline !! LOL BUT I AM A BIT BIAS!! bastard evo was too quick for me! i must learn not to hit witches hats. well the car is coming along nicely for second round in N.S.W, (car 40) new brakes( ap 6 piston, 365 rotors thanks to simmo ), new gearbox 5 speed dog box ppg, torque split controller, gonzo exhaust, recaro seat and harness ( hehe, kept falling out of seat), new radiator & thermo's, new anti lag between gears, 18" gtr r34 wheels, swaybars, a bit morepower. and an esky for the credit card. cheers russell
  8. i use launch control and antilag system on my gtr r32 and have had a very good run and result so far, i can get between 6 to 8 psi on launch. i do not have rotational idle though but can use that later on if using it for moretrack days, but i need to go single throttle body for that. also as far as killing engines that depends more on the tuners ability, i have worked with many evo's and a few subie's running very aggressive anti lag settings and 40 percent throttle openings at idle (ecu misfires engine to bring it idle) and they will run a season with these engines. there are quite a few ways you can have effective anti lag, rich unburnt fuel in the manifold with hight exhaust temperatures and then adding oxygen creates great impellor drive. i was lucky enough to go for a drive in a wrc car in perth a few years ago and that car was producing 25 psi before dropping the clutch!!! lots of good theories made whilst drinking, lol cheers russell
  9. sounds like boost leak or boost control issue, are all inlet hose fitted correctly?? very easy to miss a hose!! i have recently fitted a brand new engine to gtr and tight will very little effect on boost achievable. i also doubt fuel is issue. it really does sound like leak or control issue, maybe turbo actuators partially open. also check that you blo off valves are not leaking. cheers russell
  10. it is definately possible to get into the 10's with n1 turbo's, i ran 11.18@126 at willowbank recently with n1's and there is more in the car yet, best part is they have great response from down low in rpm. cheers russell
  11. well done simmo you guys at the front were really driving well, consistently!!! i have alot to learn, about driving neatly & fast! also simmo i am very interested in some 6 piston calipers( i have been checking out the 6 pot porsche set ups today) , trying to organize some now. please email me or phone me if you have any brakes or contacts! once again great drive, i had more fun than anything else i have done! i will try and be in sydney but i need BRAKES, a proper box( none for six weeks, ppg) and a seat with a harness preferably. cheers Russell [email protected] 0417 768 799
  12. hehe well done mate look forward to meeting you one day
  13. also duncan i dont have standard radio in my r32 gtr, will this still work. cheers russell
  14. hi duncan i will be buyin one off you also , hope please let me know as soon as you have some. regards russell 0417 768 799
  15. Thanks guys yeah they offered me the thongs too!! the first time for the noise test we were 88 dba at idle! hehe and 106 dba at 3000rpm! i dont know why they said go away? lol i really have the race bug now. thanks for the comments cheers russell
  16. hi we are going to discuss that this week and see if we can get to the nsw event apparently only 8 weeks away!! as i need to do quite a bit to the car, fist proper gearbox (or less power) and definately better brakes as we ran out of brakes all week end!! completely destroyed a set of rotors which were new at the start, one was cracked right throught the middle. i hope to go though!! and learn to drive a bit neater. are you going? cheers russell
  17. hi guys just got back from the rally, yes that was my gtr that was competing. i did all you skyline owners proud. the car ran 11.18@126mph on friday at willowbank in the first drag race stage, which is the fastest an entered cars has ever run in the dutton rally's 10 year history!(the next fastest was 12.5) we had a good days racing friday with a few top five time. the next drag run i ran 11.5 and on the drag run in the afternoon we broke the gearbox. changed it that night for saturday. saturday we had a good morning at mount cotton hill climb and managed 4th fastest, we then went to the training center and the day went to shit from there. the car was way to loud! and it took me five attempts to quiten the car to be allowed to compete(heaps of steel wool stuffed in exhaust) which was a waste of time as i could not get on the throttle at all as the back pressure would have killed it! it blew out after catching fire:) saturday night was great at the carpark not real fast but definately lots of fun. today was good allround with quite a few top fives a one stage outright win. all in all i was happy for our first event and the cars first time out. we picked up 1st outright driver class A, 1st outright co driver class A, and nine outrightdrive combination ( i was very happy with that considering we didnt do 6 stages when the gearbox blew and our first time on a track) cheers to all you guys and hope to see you around russell
  18. hehe thanks for that could have saved me sometime i type slowly
  19. hi guys just thought you might like to know the dutton rally is on in queensland this weekend, starts friday! quick run down is friday at willowbank on various circuits then back to gold coast in the afternoon for a bit of car park fun at the spit car park. saturday is at mt cotton facility and mt cotton hill climb then back to the broadwater carpark in the afternoon for more fun. sunday is at darlington park and holden driver training centre. there should be some nice cars there!! i will be driving a green/blue r32 gtr, so we will see if we can give the porsches a touch up. cheers russell
  20. i would definately suggest a second opinion!
  21. has anyone had trouble with the 4wd hydraulic pump above the rear diff, as it appears to be pointing a problem there?? regards russell
  22. i stand corrected like i said the spigot BUSH maybe making a noise like it was in my other car! i also have twin plate clutch in my car with no squeal noise at all, slight rattle but no squeal.
  23. hi more than likely, will be spigot bearing is dry. this may quiet down after a good run. regard russell
