  1. i second that idea...
  2. 494KM's?!?!?! geez thats a lot in one day! i'll go if the majority goes, but that seems a bit much for just a "cruise". theres also going to be a few people object (like Mick...) on the issue of fuel. his car will go through 2 tanks in that distance, mine will do 1.1/3. the question is, how many of us can afford $150 on fuel just before christmas??? im not trying to be a whinging little bitch, but those are factors which much be thought over. would tumut have a servo that would even sell 98 octane fuel?
  3. rain makes your cars look cleaner...
  4. hahahahahahahaha!
  5. um, yeah!!!....
  6. i could vomit on my feet and stand in dog turd and it would still look better than those tail lights....
  7. i get the same problem, only without the vibration. i put my problem down to brake dust.... however, with a vibration, it could be number of different things. a slightly loose bolt in the caliper, shims missing or around the wrong way or even just a small stone stuck in your brake pad...
  8. Cheers... already got a new center for it though
  9. ah, ok... i thought the 33's had a viscus diff? meh....
  10. i track my r33 on a fairly regular basis. i agree with what has already been said about both cars. the r33 with the better 'box and motor is a good advantage, however the r33's do have a fairly poor diff (in my opinion) as opposed to the r32's which have an LSD from the factory?? please correct me if im wrong . i believe that even for a car which is only tracked 2-3 times a year, its a very good idea to have a healthy diff if you wish to get the full enjoyment of a trackday experience. spinning one wheel out of a corner when your trying set a good time is very frustrating.... also, the r33's have a longer wheel base, which can be an advantage on a circuit as it gives you a little more cornering stabilitly in certain kinds of corners (but this is a more technical area which most people wont even think about...). whatever you do, just make it as light as you can. as has been said, weight is just evil...
  11. i've said many times before that i swear by the Ferodo DS2500. its fantastic on the track and great around town too. they do take a little warming up, but once you stand on the brakes 2-3 times, they work great (i do mean just regular braking, not a full hard stop). however, now i am currently using Bendix Ultimate pads as these were recommended to me by a trusted source. i've heard very good things about them, so i decided to give them a go. they are much cheaper than the Ferodo's and they are also more widely avaliable and pretty easy to get (repco etc...). you should research and see if the r32 GTS4 calipers and pads differ to those on the GTS-t. if they dont, then you wont have any probs in finding some good pads at a resonable price...
  12. either day is good for me, but i picked saturday so i can have a lazy sunday.... dont think corrin dam is open, wont be for a very long time. shame, its a nice location. coast would be good, but will be very busy and probably not an enjoyable drive with all the traffic.
  13. nice one... those standard front bars dont do the car any justice at all. they are butt ugly. a 32 GTR front bar will make it look another silver r32 i know of...
  14. great day out. sorry i was late, worked late the night before and only just got to wash my car that morning!
  15. oil contamination is the 1st thing they say and they almost always say it. they are just trying to see if you'll foot the bill instead of them. a few of the guys on here in the same situation got the same answer. maybe they can help you out in terms of what to do...
