My old man has a Canstel clubman with the escort 1.6 block/lotus twin cam head with twin webbers hanging of the side of it. They are an awesome thing to drive although it takes a little getting used to. Not sure they are to cheap to run though, but probably less than a GTR (Haven't got my GTR track ready yet.). Bruce and Ron at LEDA suspension at Brendale would be worth visiting for a chat, everytime I go there they have a clubman of some description there. The last time they had a yellow PRB, but the guy had spent mega $$$ on it and it was on going. But having said that the owner said he would have nothing else and drives it everyday to work (if sunny). Definately fun to throw around the corners!

Yeah, but I was going back to a stock one though. I am pretty sure the atmo one on the car when I got it was a no frills version though, looks pretty budjet.

Ankle still sux, at least I can get around now without a drama, just can't move it out of its comforts zone otherwise it really lets me know, still doing physio twice a week. R is good touch wood, there seems to be alot going BANG! at the moment, kinda scary when I bought mine from an auction slip.

I bought James's old stock BOV for my GTST yesterday since he no longer requires it. I have never had a re-circ tyoe bov on the GTST in the 2.75 yrs of ownership, How much better does it run. Nice crisp return to idle when you come of throttle, no snap, crackle, pop between gears not to mention sounding completely different to drive. Might have to get my finger out to fit the stocker onto the GTR, much bigger job though. THANKS JAMES, if you ever log on today.

Yeah it has a backup battery, changed the battery on my car just recently, so tested that first hand. The only other thing I use are locknuts for my wheels, although with the tilt sensor its probably not necessary. The biggest thing for me was having a 3point imob. on the keyless entry and then having another 3 point imob via the keypad. Even if some one steals my keys they are still going to have a hard time getting my car. And being a surveyor who works with GPS often I can see many flaws in the GPS tracking system. It would be great in the wide open spaces of the sea on a boat, in the air on planes but in the urban jungle on the ground I really can't see it being that effective. Just my personal opinion. The siren is lound inside and out, just when you are in an enclosed car with no escape its damn loud, really gets into your head.

Yes, The R won't be seeing any real action till it has new sump with baffles, large capacity oil pump, oil cooler, bigger radiator, oil restrictors, enlarged oil return galleries and catch-can. So by about the year 2010 I think I should be ready.

I had the Brant Nemsis installed into my GTR one week after I got it from compliance. Call me paranoid. It seems pretty comprehensive which should scare off most potential theives. I got the tilt sensor and the auto window wind up installed on mine also. I always leave the keypad on manual mode so its only activated when I want it to be, saves the hassels with mechanics and stuff. I have found it good so far, but as its the first auto arm alarm I have had it took a little getting used to, and caused a few dumb moments. The siren is damn lound from inside the cabin!
