  1. I can drive, just don't last long and still can't drive hard. No jokes on the wording please
  2. :box:
  3. Suit restoration.
  4. Yeah, I would like to delete that one too, but that is how my last bender ended, just before Xmas. I think I have had about 4 drinks since. A very bad night, but I think I am primed for another :headspin:
  5. Hi Nick. Hey Erin, I will trade you, flu for "slightly" used ankle.
  6. Sweet, sounds like my type of night :rave: :looney: :boobies2: :Pimp:  in that order!!
  7. Its getting there slowly. Went to take the R for a drive today (I have got withdrawals, its been over 2 weeks) and the bloody battery is dead. Damn cars!
  8. As long as I get an invite to the huge bender that marks the start of the breakout!!!
  9. Evening people
  10. I have been looking into the same thing for mine. Since you are in Brisbane it may be worth while seeing ARE. They are located in Brendale, website www.are.com.au. They do everything cooler/radiators wise.
  11. Check the compliance plate it will have the date of compliance on it. I doubt it has been in a yard for 12 months. If it is a new SEVS plate it will be purple in colour the old ones were green. I didn't think AJM was a RAW, in fact I am certain they aren't.
  12. mmm, dinner time.
  13. They are just too expensive to replace, they can do all sorts of things. I have been talking to him about re-valving the APEXi ones as I think they could do with a little more rebound control, they only need the unit for a day to do that for me. As long as the shock housing hasn't been damaged its all good.
  14. Yeah, spring compressors are cheap and a one off expense, I got mine from Repco for about $50, they were the cheapest, but for what I want they are fine, I think supa cheap has them for even less. Its kinda fun doing it youself, playing with the spring rates in the R has been fun, have learnt heaps about how spring rates effect the handling, I think I have it about just right for 95% road use, 5% track use. I really like a nice handling car, it gives you so much more confidence, and make you look like you are a better driver than you are .
  15. I had mine reconditioned before I put them in and had the original Apex spring changed to king springs of custom rate to improve ride. Since then I have also changed the springs at the front myself. People don't recon them because they haven't seen that brand before. The Ohlin, Tein and HKS ones I have seen were all the same. Otherwise it would make changing the spring rates difficult, which would take away from there "racing" purpose. It took me 1.5hr to change the front springs on the R with the APEXi coilovers, from wheel off to wheel on. These guys are one of the few that will reco almost any coilover:- http://www.shockreco.com.au/
  16. Nah, I have been at Jill's most of the time so she can look after me (sympathy vote), so haven't got round to downloading that viewer.
  17. Nah, people just use the term for the aftermarket adj one. My APEXi coilovers are identical to the standard ones except the spring seat is threaded and the adjustable shock rate knob at the bottom of the shock housing. Ohlins even use the same tapered spring like the stock springs.
  18. Afternoon people! How's the weekend been???
  19. Gavin Woods down Gold Coast way and Chapman and Chapman in Bris seem to be the two of choice for most people I know. I myself have only been to Gavin and he was very good. As Genesis said there are plenty of threads on this, with plenty of opinions.
  20. Nice work Jay and Neil. Sounds like a good day, and two PBs aswell! 12.7 huh Jay, the clutch can't be all that bad! Damn light 32s.
  21. Afternoon all, sorry to hear about the mishap Nizmo, I hope you and the vehicle are all fixed soon. You can join me in the crusade for the sympathy vote!
  22. At, least it looks like the problem will be easy to remedy. It would be interesting to know what caused it though, I guess that will come out in the wash. A night not totally in vane!
  23. Mmmm, page to me. Time to go back tho the TV for a while. See yas.
  24. Its amazing how easily you can waste away a day I wouldn't mind being able to do something though. Its starting to sound like the 3.5 month wait to import my car. It started to feel like it didn't exist. I am sure the first time you give that throttle a squeeze it will be all worth it.
  25. Hello, Gordon, James, Adrian. I am preparing for another long day on the couch icing my ankle every couple of hours and doing the little exercises the physio gave me. BORING. How much longer till your car is in action James? Last I heard you had dropped it into Gavin's and it was staying there until it was finished.
