  1. Morning, takes a while for things to get moving in here these days. Its like people actually have to work.
  2. Nice, 34s look the goods in that colour, or any colour for that matter. Welcome.
  3. Glenn is putting in the hard yards!
  4. I may aswell do the first post of daylight hours. Morning.
  5. I sooooo wanted to go to the skidpan yesterday, I am very dissappointed, sounds like you guys had a blast as usual. I will be first in line for the next one!
  6. Hell yeah, mornings are by far the worst. They are doing the wait and see approach to the fragments. All the damage was done at basketball, and they think it was the fragments which caused the bad reaction from the drive on Thursday night. There will be no spirited driving from me for a while, might have to stick to the mini. Times like this I really wish I had access to an auto.
  7. Mmmm, finally thought it was time to go see someone about it today. I have been to Doctors, X-ray and physio. I have torn ligaments and tendons down the LHS of my left ankle/foot and have small bone fragments floating around in there. They have given me 8-10 weeks and plenty of physio $$$ to be restored to my former self. Not very cool. Its a "little" bit worse than I first suspected.
  8. Afternoon.
  9. The F1 telecast is starting I am off!! See yas. Besides I don't want to here anymore skidpan talk. Damn ankle!
  10. Yeah they are definately fair game
  11. :usuck: :usuck: :usuck: :usuck: :usuck:
  12. Hell yeah, genuine coopers are worth good $$$, mine is rarer but not worth quite the same dollars as a cooper. I have wound mine out to 165km/h which isn't too bad for a stocker, gets there pretty quick just runs out of revs. They aren't the best breathing engine. There is a nice supercharger kit made by lynx automotive in victoria that will give 115bhp, bolt on to a stock 1275cc cooper engine. With the right diff ratio that would be good enough for a 14 sec pass. I want it!
  13. There can be no talking about the skidpan while I am around!
  14. Its a GT clubman. Its exactly the same as a cooper S but in the square nose body. Mine is a stocker so its not that quick but there are plenty or cooper s minis out there that would give stock 32s and 33s a run. Nothing beats them for fun driving though, you can throw them around like nothing else.
  15. Good evening, I too am patiently waiting for the F1 to start, nothing on TV in the meantime though.
  16. No worries Oz. Have fun everyone!!!!!
  17. Yeah, no worries mate, I am spewing. I have been hanging out for the next skidpan day since doing the last one. Got your message, I just got back from an engagement party, just give me a buzz sometime next week to organise the $$. I was thinking about coming in to spectate but I think that would just make me angry, have fun!!!
  18. I would go the slotted DBA 4000 series rotors, I have them on my GTST and they have be very good. If you plan to do any track days it would probably be wise to stay away from cross-drilled rotors. Nothing wrong with rear standard rotors, I put the 4000s on the rear as well but many don't, the bulk of the braking work gets done by the fronts. Plenty of people run 225s on their stock R33 rims. Don't forget some decent brake pads.
  19. I have got the Yokohama ES100s on my 18x9.5" rims. They fit real nice and so far have been a good tyre. As ferni sad the Falkens you were quoted on would be the 326s and I haven't heard anyone say good things about them. For an extra $100 a corner you could get the Falken ST 115, They are supposed to be pretty good. Alot of good things have been said about the Bridgestone SO3s and the Michelins also. It all depends on what you expect from the tyre, the size of your wallet and if you have a brand preference. I have always liked Yokohamas so it was either ES100 or V102 for me, and since the hole burning in my wallet was getting quite large I chose the ES100, and so far they have easily performed to my expectations.
  20. A set of spring clamps is a must. To do mine I used a jack, wheel brace, spring clamps, 10, 14, 19mm spanners, a shifter and a spare 3 hrs. Definately get a wheel algnment afterwards.
  21. Ankle sux. I might come along and spectate tomorrow, take a few pics and stuff. Its been pretty hard trying to reallocate my spot, can only be expected on such short notice I guess. Can't help bad luck. Good thread BTW James. Should set those straight that can't use common sense.
  22. Morning also.
  23. I am a Engineering surveyor, and do a little computer stuff on the side. Although haven't done much of anything the last couple of months. Thats about to change though.
  24. How strong can you make them Steve??? hehe. There is no way I will be able to drive, so if no one wants it then it will go to waste.
