  1. I went through Direct Imported as stated in post #22. I now have my car and couldn't be happier. The only person I dealt with the entire time was Phil. He organised everything for me, I just had to pay the $$$ to the necessary people when required. His initial estimate was prettty much on the money for the final total price aswell. The only thing I had to do was take it from the compliance workshop and drive it 2km to the transport Dept to get registered, everything else was done. I currently have a Series II R33 4dr coming in as we speak that Phil found for me aswell. Highly recommended.
  2. Wow, this is an old thread. As far as I am aware there is no adjustment for caster or camber for the front standard. What you have got is what you have got. There is a small amount of adjustment for camber at the rear, though it is not enough. Camber on my car was crazy when I lowered it, definately needed the camber kits for the rear and I got them for the front too.
  3. Mmmm, debating whether or not I should give the Gemini a much needed service and clean, while not really working. Mmmmm. Maybe I should just call in the Dodgy mechanic now that he is back.
  4. Interesting, I would get the GTR still. Even though if you spend the $ on a GTST it will probably be better at whatever purpose you intended it for, would be fun to do the mods, and lets face don't look that much different. But if you really sit down and look at a GTR closely I really doubt you could turn a GTST into a GTR equivilent for the same $s. All the extra ducting, body stiffening etc etc, they really are two completly different cars and it quickly becomes obvious which purpose each was intended for. The GTR is a much better base for modding, ie responds very well to little mods, and since the reality for most people who mod cars is it never ends my choice would be a GTR. And now that I own both there really isn't a comparison, GTR is the one for me.
  5. Mmmm, time for bed I think. See ya
  6. Yeah, the dangers of contract work. I have been offered another casual type job to do to fill in the quiet time, but it would be just my luck to take it on and then get really busy again and have to let them down. Don't know what to do? I wonder how much OT I can get the GF to do. hehe
  7. Still working Gordon????? Damn impressive. Although I would kill for a bit of work at the moment, have hardly worked the last two months and I am really starting to feel the pinch. Bring on that next contract. Not really the best time to get quiet, just after the big purchase. Oh well, such is life. I thought they were coming back Monday too. Hope they all hadhave a safe one.
  8. Mmmm, it appears I am the only one still powering on this Sunday night. I wonder how the Rocky trip is going?
  9. I am bored, I am sick of lying around with my ankle up. I don't take well to being injured.
  10. Mmmm, I sprained my left ankle pretty bad this morning playing basketball, I am hoping it should be sweet for next week. Its making clutch use fairly difficult at the moment. Times like this I wish I had an auto, the only time I wish this of course.
  11. Just the auction pics. Should look pretty good with a coat of paint and a decent set of wheels. Its a series 2, manual, type M.
  12. It was the R, the GF has the GTST till her 4dr 33 arrives from Japan, then I will sell the GTST.
  13. I am not doing a list, but currently owning 4 cars that are all registered/insured, not even starting on the mods, is probably the reason I am reduced to eating bread and water.
  14. Yeah, I love my 33s, they are a great car to drive, the only real complaint I have is the boot size is a little small for such a large car.
  15. They look to be the same type a APEXi coilover that I have, APEXi T-Max. They are height adjustable to a point, the rings around the strut casing with the C-ring in it allow you to reposition the spring seat to adjust the height, so height sould not be too much of a problem. Or you could buy some adjustable threaded spring seats, I had to replace the ones on the front of mine as you can tell by the pic. Since that pic I have also replaced the springs. Do you have the upper mount, spring hat thing? Can't see it in the pic. Not sure you could use the ones off the standard setup?? Its worth while getting the shocks checked aswell, mine looked to be in very good condition (still had the original bar code on them even) but still it was found the gas had leaked out which usually means the oil is not too far behind. Also, I wouldn't get to excited about getting the rear strut brace, they don't really do a whole lot compared to the front, unless you are looking for the "look", alot of money for the "look" though. You would be better advised spending the money on getting the rear shocks and springs sorted or some adj. sway bars
  16. Damn! I am confused.

    really sorry

ROLF! Fu(k there is some funny shite on here sometimes.
  18. Phew!, I was starting to think English was my second language. I must be getting old!
  19. I have seen one cruising around area too. If that was me I would cry, I would not be happy.
  20. Two sighting in one day! I feel priviledged. I had to get fuel since I left my wallet at home last night, then I went to get a wheel alignment at Bob-Jane toombul, thought it best after fitting new springs yesterday, so that would have been the return trip. I am pretty sure that white supra was N/A, he still tried to go me though, I just ignored him.
  21. After much aggravation, I finally went and got some stiffer springs yesterday. I am now running 400lbs up front and 225lbs at the rear. The car its 100% better than it was before. So far I am very happy with the result. Thanks SK for the advise. And at $80 a spring its a hell of a lot cheaper to mess around with the spring rates than it is to swap complete sets of coilovers.
  22. Saw R33Steve today on Moggil Rd, quietly snuck up behind me.
  23. Not going to bed just yet Naked News is on the Comedy channel!
  24. Time for bed now everyone. Wasteland closed for the night. Nothing to see here
  25. I have been having a good look at different kits and was just about to ask anyone if they had used the HKS oil cooler kit. The particular HKS kit for the 33 GTR is very large, much larger than the trust kit (although trust has a few different setups), its a 16 row cooler approx dimension off the top of my head were 220ishx200ishx40ish. But by the sound of it, it sat inside the wheel arch, not sure how I feel on that. The wheel arch option might be alright with a 400R front bar but I am not sure there would be enough air flow through that area with a standard GTR bar. mmmmmm.
