  1. There's a screw on each top corner of the bar - where it ends in the wheelarch. You might have one of those plastic covers in your wheel arch to get past. Also, there are 2 screws on the bottom corners of the bar also. BTW, this method also removes the front metal bar, right? Not just the plastic bit?
  2. I don't know... I thought that 2 doors had black, and 4 doors had silver, but don't quote that Mine has black lights, and the engine is how I described it... But I think it's an early 95 job.
  3. S1 has glass on the inside of the lights, and S2 doesn't.
  4. Looks exactly like mine - except the colour :-) To check if you got series 2 bits, you can look for: - If there's a black box sitting up the rear of the motor about 3 inches square, S1 part. S2 doesn't have this. - Underneath the air snorkel (lol!), count the wires coming out of the AFM. 3 wires = S2, 4 / 5 wires = S1. I think there's also something to do with positioning of the fuel regulators, but don't quote me on that. And yeah, if it's got a turbo, it's got 4 wheel steering Looks nice all up
  5. Yeah, that was pretty funny Dickheads. I was wondering what happened to you, Mark
  6. If you get caught, have pleanty of anal lube handy...
  7. Look at the inside condition.. Steering wheel, seats, carpet, pedal wear. 60K on clock and worn through carpet should indicate something funny.
  8. Yeah, he was taken for a ride. Poor bastard.
  9. If you read the fine print, it may have been advertising a blown diff
  10. Has anyone watched the new SS Clubman advert? For those who haven't, they get an SS ute and chain down it's rear, then gas it and the force of the car's engine stretches the cab out to 4 doors. The rear wheels were spinning nicely too, churning up the ground like expected :burnout: Pretty impressive too Chaining down the rear of this RWD car and gassing it stretch the front of the car out... I think their advertising guru forgot to have his morning coffee :bahaha:
  11. Just out of curiosity, do you guys know how to take off a S1 airbag wheel without it blowing up?
  12. It's been working fine for me for 6 months, and my lights haven't burnt out. I don't drive around with the high beam on all the time though - only when it's needed.
  13. It's an '86.... Toyota corolla or something. It's just a little hatchback.
  14. - Professional incompetance. - Alfa T-Sparks. They make me sick just looking at them. uuurrrgh.
  15. Bah, that's only the N/A version of the GTR. A real GTR would scream past it with it's 4 wheels spinning :burnout:
  16. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has seen any skylines in movies / anime / etc? Obviously the Fast 'n Furious duo and Initial D I came across this other reference in an unlikely anime yesterday: Full Metal Panic series 2. It's an anime about a military fanboy and giant robots. Probably one of the last places you'd see such a fine example of automotive engineering Can someone tell if it's a GT, GT-T, or GT-R?
  17. Hi, There are instructions and pictures here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...25&pagenumber=1 Happy modding
  18. He's got it restricting flow to the wastegate, not the engine.
  19. Hi guys Just wondering if anyone here knows what this might be. I am experiencing a weird tapping noise that appears to be related to the engine speed and temperature. When the bonnet is down, you can hear it pretty clearly just by standing behind the front wheel. With the bonnet up, it's drowned out by the engine noise / injector clicking. It goes away eventually when the engine's warm. It's louder while idling. It started as soon as I did my last oil change (shell oil). I dumped that oil and went for mobil 1. It's still there, but it goes away quicker. In both cases, the oil level was more or less correct (just a bit over) and the correct viscosity ratings (although the mobil 1 is thicker) I read that people have similar noises related to the rockers and tappets (? whatever those are). I can't hear anything coming from the rocker covers and when I have the oil plug open there's only normal running noise (and I can't feel any air coming out either). I hear it more clearly if I stick my head under the car. Anyway, it seems to be related to oil somewhere. My AFM is a little dodgy I think and is causing rough idling (I tried to clean it, but only made it worse, in typical fashion ). I cleaned a whole heap of crap out of the AAC valve. There's no aftermarket bov - the car's stock to the balls. Any idea what it is? I'll be trying electrical contact cleaner on the afm as soon as I get some.
  20. Could be the synchros worn. Put in some nice gear oil. I put in redline shockproof and that cured 95% of my problems.
  21. I've broken bones before - but none of my own! Perhaps my sister can tell you of the flying lesson I gave her when we were kids. Oh, and I ran my brother over once, but that didn't yield any spectacular results.
  22. Happened to me once after working on something. Just push started it and it worked fine... Was a little difficult to get it out of the carport and pointing down the driveway though...
  23. I hear that the QLD roads are pretty shit. My flatmate has done it and the QLD roads broke one of his uni-joints (?)...
  24. C'mon, you guys all know you want Type-R badges instead of GT-R badges...
  25. Yep, looks like it. Far worse than that python. But red-bellies keep the brown snakes away. Red bellies have a mild temper and are more curious than anything else. Still wouldn't do to get bitten by one.
