Could be the airflow metre as well I think? Sounds reminiscent of my AFM problems from my R32. Can you check the error codes on an R33? With my r32 you would just be driving along and all of a sudden it'd cough and splutter and lose all power for about 10seconds, then she'd continue on like nothing happened. Whacked another afm in and it was fixed.

So it's not hard to install these lights in my R34 GTT? Put me down for a set if so.

Where would you get the genuine nissan ones from? Would my local nissan dealer place likely have them?
-
US prices I assume.

How hard is it to setup an O44 in an R34 GTT? I'm in the same boat as Leeman, only looking to push ~260rwkw but just looking for the best upgrade option in regards to the fuel pump. So you guys rate the 044 the better option compared to the nismo/040/walbro etc? Is it the kind of thing you can just buy and do yourself at home? Or am I better off going for an intank straight replacement like the nismo?
-
A GCG hi-flow will get you there I think? Only $1750 too... Apparently they are good for a bit over 350rwhp. That's the option i'm going for with my 34.

Dam Turbos, Need Help, Again, Car Started To Miss
Lithius replied to WogsRus's topic in Forced Induction Performance
Is it an R34? I had the same issue and tried regapping plugs and taping coils, in the end I had to get splitfires to solve the problem. About the cheapest you can get them is $550~ delivered from Japan. I'm sure if all the R34 owners on here that've upgraded to splitfires pooled their old coilpacks we'd have about 50 that still worked fine... it's just a bitch taking them in and out to find out which are the faulty ones. -
Well, a workshop put some Iriways in there and it developed a big misfire on boost. Went to autopro with one of the Iriways and they gave me some BKR6ES-11 to try, I regapped them to .8 and put them in... still misfiring. Eventually I got splitfires but it was still misfiring with the Iriways, so I put the gapped BKR6ES in there and the misfire dissapeared. My plugs were a bit fouled from when I played around with my AFM settings so I thought i'd try some BCPR6ES-8 (I think they're actually longer than both the Iriways and BKR6ES) and they work fine... No problems at all thus far.
-
Not sure if anyone still needs to know but I'm running NGK BCPR6ES-8 in my R34 GTT. They cost me about $4 each from repco. I think they're the same plugs people run in the R33.

Norton is terrible... I think i'd rather a virus on my computer. The Grisoft AVG free version is a lot better I find.
-
From that R34 site it says 12v 5w capless inner. I found it easiest just to take the blown bulb with me into autopro/repco and say "gimme one of these"
-
Guy at work bought one of these about 6 months ago... it was blown within about a month I think. Complete waste of money.

Gb: R33 Gts-t And Gtr And R34 Gtt Radiator Guides
Lithius replied to Bass Junky's topic in Group Buys
These are still available Bass? I'd like one for my R34 GTT... think it's a standard nismo front bar. Could you pm me the details? Cheers. -
I went for the 34GTT... I was just after something newer with less chance of breaking down (compared to the 32GTR) Also, around here at least, R34's are still a fairly rare sight.

Yeah i'd get rid of that huge rear wing, will look a hundred times better without it. I like the bottom pic too.

How Far Do You Get On Empty Light?
Lithius replied to CSNet's topic in RB Series - R31, R32, R33, R34 (1986-2002)
The fuel gauge on the R34 must be very cautious! When my fuel light first comes on I still have over 20L in the tank. So on 45L I do 450km, theoretically if I drove it till she was dry (20L = 210km) I'd get about 660km out of a tank? Holy jeebus. -
The colour and the wheels go together very nicely, looks good mate, congratulations.
-
Narh mate, I did try taping them all with good quality insulative tape but It didn't make a difference. I couldn't see any discernable cracks or anything that a lot of people described... It'd be a good money saver if it works, but in the end i'd say splitfires are the best bet. I really need to get a multimeter and test out my coilpacks, 5 of them are probably okay. Here's a few threads I looked at for info on the problem. There were a few more things I could've done to try and fix it myself but I guess I got lazy. http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthread.php?t=43555 http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=misfire http://www.skylineowners.com/forum/showthr...ghlight=misfire

Just incase someone finds this thread whilst trying to diagnose the same problem, gapping the plugs didn't fix the problem but getting splitfires did. Car runs like a monster now
-
Coilpacks went in mine too... it has 120,000km on it. That's the only consistent problem i'm aware of with the R34 GTT.

I havn't been able to find any R34 URAS kits in australia. The closest was the MFX URAS style, not sure if they still sell it thought. Is a nice looking kit... they had it on special for like $700 at one stage but then it went up to $1200. I think MFX were moving store, not sure if they've reopened yet. www.mfx.com.au
