  1. I know the car, nice little vehicle. Potentially interested BUT is it an auto (cant do manual; no knees)? Had 1000km run-in service completed yesterday with a quick tune, 230rwkw at 13psi (rwd dyno with front driveshaft out). Builder/Tuner wants me to do another 800kms then come back for a hi-boost tune.
  2. 8 sessions in, fkn loving it. Working hard and growing again; past 3 sessions been working out for 90mins. Dropped midrift fat and gaining muscle quickly. Started supp intake this week, jack3d pre shake, post shake of fish oil + 50g whey protein + 60g dextrose monohydrate + 10g creatine + 10g BCAA powder Query - not real sure what I can do with my legs seeing Im 2m tall but have no kneecaps. Squats, leg extensions, lunges, etc are out. Cant kneel nor squat. I start off with standing calf raises, laying hamstring curls, standing hamstring curls to finish them off, seated horizontal leg press (must be careful considering patella tendon takes the load), and today added in a seated leg curl (legs horizontal pulling down to seated position). All up thats around half hour..... anything else I could consider adding in? Using cable 'Panetta' machines besides the calf raises. Then move onto upper body work for 40mins, gut crunches and 5km bike work to finish off.
  3. Well, apparently I haven't done enough "running-in" on the forged engine. Builder/tuner wants another 800kms on it before high boost is wound into it. Must admit I didn't give it curry.... Tuned at 13psi for 230rwkw. Be a couple more months before I do the kms; meh never mind.
  4. True. To keep costs down im thinking tho im best to say X-psi tune thanks. Yeh stuff it, I'll tell them tune between 1.25 & 1.3bar thanks very much, and go from there. Most likely keeping it, biggest (only) worry is "suspicion of defect" by an over zealous Officer in which case id be reamed big time as I have stuff all stock parts & can't deal with the hassle of inspections while at Uni, associated costs, etc. Only been pulled over once in my ownership for a RBT but admittedly its on my mind a fair bit..... Just the What-If factor.
  5. I believe the ATS Gt3076iw BB turbo losses efficiency around 21psi. I'm thinking 18psi should be fine, allowing spikes to 20psi (if that happens). Don't want to stress the engine tooooo much; might just settle for between 1.25-1.33bar I guess.
  6. 1000km run-in service & dynotune on Friday. Forged bottom end, ported head with Tomei cams, gt3076 highflow, S15 450cc injectors, chipped ecu + tuneable piggyback ---- what boost should I have it tuned to?
  7. As you know, big congrats from me to your family. My stag is for sale; my focus on uni (& future career) is more important than a nice car.
  8. Done 900kms now, arranging the tune soon. Had a very nice offer of a R34 gtx sedan + cash my way for a swap but honestly im just after a cheap budget run around car for errands. Happy for swap&cash but based on a basic run about vehicle. Cheers
  9. From what I understand, most beneficial supps are as follows: 1. Whey Protein 2. Creatine Monohydrate 3. Branched chain amino acids (BCAA) 4. Omega 3 fish oil 5. Nitric oxide with caffeine (promotes vascularity, 'pump', and focus) and obviously water.
  10. Well Im using Stock springs with Bilstein shocks (with grooves for circlips to lower height) - its fricken firm over the bumpy adelaide roads, too firm under 80kmph but very decent above that speed. Great at the track. The shockers are so stiff you can barely push down on the car! The stagea needs firmer rear suspension when compared to a skyline due to the mass.
  11. Thanks very much for the offer Matt - at this stage my olds & bro-in-law will help with trailer duties Should only be a couple of trips, as Ive got the keys now and am moving all the non-bulky stuff in the stagea We'll catch up one day I promise!!!! Now, a track for all those who will be partying on New Years (quiet one for me I suppose) Dont get too smashed, it'll be hot so keep hitting the water - www.youtube.com/watch?v=qSHmEsBIzAM&feature=fvst Tiesto - Walking on Clouds - "even if you wanted me to, I cant come down"
  12. Steven you should get a quote from CRD in Brisbane and Paul at Red-R Racing in Newcastle. Tell them to beat RIPS price and go with it. I had Boostworx here in Adelaide rebuild my Stagea S1 Rb25 for $4200 including forged CP pistons, complete block prep and head clean up. That was a Tow-in and drive out price, including the dynotune in a months time once Ive reached the 1000km running in mark. They outsourced machining but performed the complete assembly, including engine out/in. The rebuilt forged bottom end is driving very nicely indeed; only minor issue I have is the fog lights & audio amplifier arnt working but I know they'll fix that up for me considering they were working pre-rebuild. Once rebuilt find a Good workshop for tuning for a safe & mild tune and stick with them. Personally Id be leaning towards a budget rebuild but including forged pistons over a used secondhand block, and I wouldnt be going for new genuine pistons when the CP's are cheap brand new on ebay currently. But thats just my opinion.
  13. Ive seen the autech axis for under 20k private sale these days. I doubt the dealer warranty would cover a replacement turbocharger / air flow metre. The turbo on the M35 generally is well-worn by around 100,000kms, and there have been numerous threads of late in regards to the air flow metre packing it up. Im sure current M35 owners can add more info here about general maintenance issues. Probably best to go private and save some coin - you can have the turbo rebuilt so it bolts straight back on with no modifications for around $1k (bush bearing, from sau member Hypergear) & will give a slight performance increase. However if you can negotiate the price to $19990 with mechanical warranty from a dealer to cover turbo replacement then go for it; make sure you get the japan service books though to confirm genuine Kms.
  14. PM sent to purchase the windscreen washer bottle with pumps; delivery to 5164. Let me know a price for supply/postage & I'll buy it from you. Thanks, Brendan
  15. Very nice, & welcome ! Love the Nismo front bar - looks very very nice with the wheels, in blue. If you get sick of the wheels one day down the track simply powdercoat them white, would look even better IMO & is pretty cheap to do. R34 Nismo-kit side skirts arnt expensive, if you can find them, & would finish off the 'looks' very nicely.
  16. Pierre - mate I completely understand regarding blistering knee pain!!!! Feel for you bud. Rest up, if it swells up with fluid get some washing soda crystals from your local supermarket (coles/woolies/Iga) wrap a small amount in a tea towel you wont use again and leave it wrapped around the knee overnight. It'll draw out excess fluid and go rock hard by morning, empty, wash, and do again until swelling subsides. I started a gym membership last week for the 1st time in many many years - went tuesday, thurs & saturday, then again today. Not much I can do without kneecaps for the legs, limited to calf raises / hamstring curls and seated leg press (half motion). The seated press is really working my patella tendons and Ive been pulling up pretty well. Aiming to get the tendons strong, bust out some calf & hammy muscles, along with upper body conditioning. 6'8" 114kg & aiming to get down under 110kg whilst loosing midrift 'padding' but gaining overall size and strength. Moving house next wednesday, heading to christie downs near the train station. Not too sure of the area but need to be there for daily transport to the city for Uni over the next 4yrs. Better to spend 50mins studying while travelling than to drive, park etc in city traffic.
  17. thanks for my new desktop background had the standard windows background for far too many years now !
  18. hit the ~ tilde key to open commands type in.... player.setav carryweight 10000 you've then changed your carry weight from 200 to 10,000 I have a habit of picking up everything, ie books, food, potions, scrolls, armour, weapons, clothes, etc. Selling it all can take a while though you can also type in a command for more gold - player.additem F 100000 - gives you 100,000 gold coins
  19. N1 pump will be fine mate. By all means reuse your water pump if its in good condition. an aftermarket crank collar machined to suit the crank makes sure the oil pump doesnt shatter at high RPM's, only needed if looking to rev out the engine to redline - if you arnt going to hit the track, drags or bounce off the limiter then it isnt needed, same goes for the Tomei sump baffle kit. Forged pistons come with rings to suit. Decent deals on atm for Neo CP pistons/rings - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/CP-Pistons-RB25-RB25DET-Neo-R34-ER34-86-5mm-Bore-9-0-Compression-/200683838099?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item2eb9b05a93 ACL bearings - http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/ACL-Race-STD-Rod-Main-Bearings-RB26-RB26DETT-Skyline-R32-R33-R34-GTR-/300639873296?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item45ff886910 oh, and congratulations on your 'news'
  20. Engine almost run in, will have it tuned in a months time.
  21. Forged pistons all the way. Stock rods will be fine. New main & rod bearings, probably best to go new water/oil pumps too. If you are planning to see higher revs then have a crank collar fitted, as well as a sump baffle kit.
  22. I simply changed the carry weight from 200pounds to 10000 Havent played it for over a month; seemed to get a bit tedious - I enjoy BF3 far too much
  23. Thats a rip off! ATI-6950 can be bought for $269, and then you can reflash the Bios to make the card same specs as a ATI-6970 ($349) If you really want another 5870 Id suggest ebay USA. $210 + $40 postage. However Id recommend selling your current card and grabbing either 2x 6950's and reflash to 6970 spec, or waiting for the 7000 series although I have no idea how much they would be.
  24. Got mates over since this arvo, drinking beer wine & makers mark. Ive had 1 glass (piss weak) of the burbs and a beer while all around me are rather 'happy'. Def dont miss the drink at all tho
