  1. if you have a safc you can do step by step tuning as you fit stuff thats what Ive done for over 2yrs now but Ive been hoarding my last lot of mods, ready for the remap at speed labs going to arrange it soon. thing is, after a remap, no point in adding extra stuff like larger turbo, 'cause the remap will be worthless you can run a larger turbo, z32 afm, fpr, etc etc etc etc etc, on a safc, get good power and ok fuel economy. Ive got larger injectors but wont put them in until remap time. I was going to use a R34 GTT PowerFC but decided not to. for sale for $1200 firm. works a1
  2. whats the price. i went to a fibreglasser 2 yrs ago with my car, but a full kit of unknown quality unpainted would still have been a grand or so. cheaper the more ppl went in, but moulds would have had to be paid for up front and you need to factor that into the cost. it fell dead due to non commitments, really
  3. took nengun over 3 months to send me a $150 hks heavy duty actuator. kept telling me it was posted, then not posted, then posted, then not..... poor poor service.
  4. Im so sorry I truely am. my thoughts are for you and your friend. (better put my sunnies on so the wife doesnt see me......im sad for you)
  5. oh I thought they didnt come with pipes. nice buy if they do, thats for sure. um, photos, none here at work there are intercooler threads on here where Ive posted pics just cut the dayz number plate section off (poorly cut, mind you) and bolted the number plate to the side air dam where the side mount used to be. definately does not weaken the front area Id like to get a small sticker number plate eventually.
  6. they look good look to be exact same size to my Apexi cooler, exact same shape etc except mine is HALF tube'n'fin and HALF bar'n'plate Id be getting one of these intercoolers, if you want to use the same factory holes you'll need a couple of stainless pipes tho to go from inside engine bay to the intercooler, I used a pipe kit off ebay edit: I didnt hack anaything, bar the plastic Dayz front bar numberplate bracket (to open it up to let max air flow thru). if you install the 'cooler on a slight angle it fits without touching the reo bar
  7. never had ONE issue on the road
  8. the stagea used an r33 ecu with an r34 plug on it. quite weird there are 3 different pinouts for the stagea series 1 dependant on month It works fine, needs a small rewire for TPS (r34) to work as attessa for the stagea. but I CBF. auto + no ign.retard on gearshift = bad gearbox down the track, and I cant be bothered with that. better off selling, getting $ back and using that on a ecu remap
  9. Ive got an r34 gtt apexi powerfc I'll sell for $1200 plus post bag was going to use it but will go for the ecu remap option. (stagea; cbf with rewiring parts of my loom to suit the Pfc)
  10. why series 2? series 1 manual go for 15-18k, series 2 manual a few thousand more, into the 20's series 1 auto got for 11-15k, series 2 auto around 15-16k try to buy private to save $$ the auto is fairly "performy", uses a bit of fuel tho so be warned 190awkw from an auto isnt to be sneezed at (on the streets) IMO - thats mine tuned tho, around 115awkw with catback zaust and air filter...... check things like carpoint and even ebay to see whats available around the country. enquire in the stagea section about any for sale. IMO series 2 arnt worth the extra $$ over a series 1. I got my series 1 auto almost 3yrs ago up in brisbane and was cheapest stagea in australia at the time. no problems or issues whatsoever, really.
  11. mmmmm. where to start ok. Just Jap sell a bellmouth 3inch stainless steel turbo-to-cat pipe for $220 delivered roughly. get that. get a high flow cat converter for the rear, I believe a R33 4door cat-back system will fit BUT it will need around 30cm welded on in length. you do NOT need 2 mufflers. A nice 3" straight through muffler (i use a Kakimoto gtr-racing muffler) is fine, best just to get an exhaust shop to fit the front section, measure the back section and then custom bend the pipe section from cat converter to muffler, welding the muffler on for you. easy.
  12. lol ummm, NO thank god for that enough said me thinks for me was all about hispeed corners, refused to ride metro area after a couple of (BIG) near misses
  13. whats the long story in 10yrs FAST riding I never had 1 issue with police
  14. my turbo blows harder than my wife
  15. Id take the S design (swat does squidly squat for me) XXXL white is fine
  16. check for paddles before you hop into bed tonight. nasty f***rs sit at the end of the bed... waiting...waiting
  17. lol, a bit of a guess. mine was $200 2yrs ago, and you can get 044's for $200 now, so with a bit of shopping around, price matching etc, you'll find one for a good price. ebay may unearth one cheaper ! (atm ebay shows under $200 for either 044 or 040, always best to wait for the item you want for the price you are willing to pay, and there are a few tuned/chipped r32 ecus for under $350)
  18. SGIC health here, got onto a cover / table years ago that now isnt offered, so I get a few extras that you cant get today but its $1500 for me, and again for the wife. $3k a year. ouch mind you they have paid out 40k on knee ops etc. so I guess Im ahead.
  19. 2nd hand remapped ecu from ebay - $250 at most intercooler ebay - $200 Nismo fuel pressure regulator - $150 bosch 040 fuel pump - $150 rb25 turbo - $200 around a grand I suppose, but it would give a decent power-up IMO
  20. an intercooler is not a power gain full exhaust from turbo back? or just cat back? get a 2ndhand intercooler off ebay and do the pipe work and fitting yourself look for a remapped r32 ecu off ebay perhaps a bigger fuel pump and a fuel pressure regulator wouldnt be a bad thing and a RB25 stock turbo fir the turbo and intercooler and boost to 12psi, install the fuel pump, get the regulator setup on a dyno with the remapped ecu and you should have a decent gain.
  21. I saw these intercoolers over a year ago on ebay, and am not convinced on a) quality, and b) internal air route in this case I decided to keep searching, and found the Apexi intercooler suited for 180sx that uses return air feed stock holes
  22. I miss those bright sunny airy days when the reindeer would nuzzle your armpit, the rabbits would scamper at your feet, the tweety birds would sing happily on your shoulder, and the lion cubs would curl up in your lap. the colours and the smells were worth waking up to, green greens and yellowy yellows and the richest sky blue you could imagine. All I see today is bleak greys and blacks, wilted flowers and dead birds. what a bollocksed up life this is. whatever happened to my happy days you ask? dont ask me ask these c**t knees; not far off driving my stag into a pylon. fast. big pylon. if you see it on the news no it wasnt an accident. and no, Im not handling it that well atm so dont f*****g ask all Im worried about these days is who'll look after my kids once Ive given up. now go back to work and smile, and realize & be thankful for how good you have it
  23. glad you found it just imagine the furore the blokes at Nissan japan would be in if they heard the afro comb was malfunctioning not good, not good in the slightest +1 for Stagea Accessory of the Year Award to the Afro Comb
