  1. now that the problem is fixed id advise you to disconnect that battery, hold brake down to release all residue power, reset and drive. Im in that habit of resetting the ecu for any minor change........
  2. I buy a lotto eveyrweek, my only gamble need the numbers in one line, sorry. won $666 in super66 about 8months ago I figure $10 a week on a variety pick is $520 a year, hope to win that much back in dribs'n'drabs or more every 2 years waiting for a 10k win one day, or more
  3. bah. would never happen. edit: they'd need a new jail now get back to tuning & writing magazines (much love, would love to meet you one day)
  4. well then, thumb your nose at the law, disregard the yellow canary's etc. if all the skylines that got defected REFUSED to do anything about it (hence unregistered etc,) there would be an uproar. that'd be funneh, 100 drivers of skylines all with defects all refusing to acknowledge them, continuing driving, going thru the courts...... it'd be an interesting scenario & would highlight to the public the plight of the skyline driver and the unnecessary defects, etc. wont stop me modifying my car nor driving it with a bit of boost here and there. thing is, Im the worlds best driver and know it, and will never have a crash anyway. good to hear a few of you have recently experienced the MEANING OF LIFE (childbirth). congrats
  5. why the f**k cant the Lonsdale old mobil plant be used as a motorkhana complex dirt track mile track mallala the second race track it isnt that f**king expensive to do, fines in 1yr from road offences would cover it f**k me; this government, and those previous, are utter useless f**kwits
  6. yeah real sorry to all the families and friends involved, from the dead, the injured and those working at the scene. terrible terrible loss of life, and permanent life-changing injuries to the survivor(s) families effected for the rest of their lives over this, mom will never hold her baby son again, youngsters will never know their uncle, etc. heart shattering as if you do that shit with other lives in the car. madness f**k it people, keep the speeds (110+) to the Hills, always in 100% control and never going past 80% risk. do not do this shit in the residential areas. Learnt this over 10yrs ago, will give it stick when entirely safe (my call) far out in the hills, but pity others will never think this way. yes we need a quarter mile strip but also a track- one south of adelaide
  7. its really disapointing to read this, but yes I say at least $200 labour has been added onto the bottom line Id be going back, having a go at them and demanding either a rethink on the bill, or demand a free suspn check, service, basic parts, alignment on another vehicle of yours/family #1 reason why to get an agreed "rough value" of the work before going ahead. cant imagine how much my head flow/port work f**kup (3 goes at it) would have cost me if I didnt have a firm quotation agreed to before work commenced.
  8. carl lewis could run under 10sec with his eyes closed take a few drugs like ben johnson and you'll crack 9.7 oh, in a car, oh thats different. its ok I suppose
  9. Im sorry for your loss was thinking about ramming a concrete pilon myself last night but thought better of it .... at this stage
  10. are you looking at me you wanna start something here boy? c'mon lets duke ! * pounces !
  11. was on the dyno for a tune, but made same as before with too much timing as soon as I picked it up it felt restricted, could tell really, tuners said check the cat and fix the fmic pipe so checked the cat, was all warped inside and bent, cleared it out, then back on the dyno to fix the crap tune 206kw at 14psi, but the turbo is now the restriction - then redid the fmic so it works real well now, as 1 corner was warped and not letting thru 100% volume now with 16psi feels fantastic, reckoning around 210kw dynobum down 25kw with the turbo, so looking for a garret bb I can alter with my housings to harness 235awkw (auto heavy stag) headwork makes the engine feel like a 25/30 so Im happy as larry, just need to get a better flowing bb turbo
  12. mine failed 2 weeks ago on the dyno from california, metal insides all warped and distorted making a large restriction emptied now
  13. my finished grille might do some black paint to bottom of dayz bar when I fix the mirrors rust bubble area, paint them black and a \ / shape black lines up the bonnet along the crease
  14. here is a small pic of the front, with big fmic finally nicely done and bit of mesh dayz bar chopped, but looks ok
  15. 2871 is the core for the ball bearing internal part Id buy, plus its garrett, oil / water cooled, etc. then with the garrett $100 60-1 comp wheel, plus exh.wheel, rebuild, rebalance, use my housings, = cheap side of a grand
  16. two options.... grab a ball bearing garrett centre for 150, and pull apart my slide turbo, rebuild it as ball bearing or rebuild a gt2871 core (centre ball bearing $150, service kit $100, front 60-1 garrett wheel $120, rear wheel $130 + rebalancing) then could sell the slide unit
  17. nice Im off soon to pick up my ordered sparkies, and to grab a 30%-angled thermalflex ply silicone joiner hose + a cple tbolt clamps finishing off the piping properly, then might get a mandrel bent 2-piece copy made of the intercooler piping system Ive tee'd up also put mesh around the front of the bar, looks amazing TBH (cut bottom of day bar, big fmic tucked behind black mesh) then dropping off the missus for her last wrist surgey (carpel tunnel, right wrist a success after 7 weeks, so here goes hope Pokie has a good birth today our friend had little Jye last week, nice boy to join 2 sisters

  19. search the forums here for cars for sale, same goes with ebay, trading post, drive, carpoint, etc find one & fly interstate to seal the deal. thats how I got into the RB-ownership (empty wallet) saga
  20. f*k yeah ! love that TL rubs, hats off andrew - 206kw atm, Im dead set straight in saying its down 24kw at least. new turbo time, Im searching for a t28 400-450hp which I'll alter with my slide unit (housings) and sell the slide to suit a 200sx - that'd suit the slide turbo best TBH
  21. for tyres - cant go past budget Marshal Maltrac tx gave them a good scrubbing in in the hills just now, 150 quick kms in the bends, had the attessa working hard
