  1. thanks for the update will look right into it going to get a wideband 02 sensor kit, a eprom ecu 84-pin socket read/write kit and some chips and go over my tune cheers for all the hard work
  2. ordered a set of tyres for monday arvo, and a wheel align. ~$570 will look at the side mirror rust area with the other 400 I reckon.
  3. offers? want a front faced intake manifold, instead of this which requires the stock intake manifold setup
  4. I'll come along but cant boot it tune is far far out, monday getting new tyres and arranging a time next week with shaun/troy for a tidy up. the cat-converter collapsed on the dyno on thursday, so couldnt tune until i fixed it (done now but runs like sh*t) ..... anyways. hitting the sink a fair bit atm, pretty ill, but should be right come tomorrow
  5. i7 arrived im building, as of................... NOW bye
  6. query for the reader: is there a market in SA for a custom ecu eprom tune? ie would you yourself consider doing a basic remap on your skyline? something Im thinking of learning and doing...... learn on mine for a year until I am comfortable and then offer basic maps/install for others? it would take at least a year from starting out "feeling" etc, to being ok about offering a map to others. I would arrange dyno time thru a reputable tuner, plug into your vehicle and gain info, write a base map, cut your chip out, solder in an adapter, plug in the base chip and check it out on the dyno, the tuner will be needed to operate and adjust for fuel (if adjustable, such as FPR) and ignition timing. Then write a remap... recheck on dyno. Use 2-3 chips per customer, around 2 hrs dyno time - should only be a $300 all up customer cost (map, ecu mod costs, soldering fee) plus tuners fee for dyno/service etc? a good emprom usb writer and a bunch of chips and adapters plus a decent o2 wideband sensor kit would be over a grand start out costs. problem is the chips & adapters..... costs plus the soldering in part ..... I could learn soldering, dunno we'll see first off I'll buy a eprom ecu burner, wideband 02 & knock sensor kit and purchase some chips that suit my ecu adapter, and muck around with it on my car. After time if it's all good I could get a bunch of chips/adapters and go nuts? thoughts? or is it all wank? no market for it therefore just a "thing" you do? thinking outloud..... these knees are ruined, so got to find something I a). can do, b). enjoy doing & c). offer to others as a hobby & can be done safely under workshop supervision, so everyone is happy.
  7. ahh he does, he does they are top lads down there I cant see the bill being that much, $70 for shaft off/on, then basic dyno charge $80~ as I say to them, look after me and i go no where else, and am nothing but a patient understanding & (hopefully) good customer query for the hardcore wastelanders is there a market in SA for custom ecu eprom tunes? something Im thinking of learning and doing...... learn on mine and then offer basic maps/install for others? I would arrange dyno time, write a base map, check it out and write a remap... use 2-3 chips per customer, should only be a $300 all up customer cost? a good emprom usb writer and a bunch of chips and adapters would be a grand start out costs problem is the chips & adapters..... cost is around 15$ ea non-rewritable chips but adapters are 100 plus the soldering in ..... but yeah, sometime when Ive got 600hundrey to muck around with (tax?I paid extra the past 2yrs) I'll buy a eprom ecu burner and some of my chips, and muck around with it
  8. i might duck out back and cut up some aggh green ranger errrm and choof it down via mr.billeh ahh hem stag is with shaun today, on the dyno, told him couldnt afford anything more than a small tune atm tho. really need to grow my own , .......
  9. im 6'8, can I come? you be the gay power ranger tho, sorry
  10. front cut R35 GTR rear end write-off: 50k? M35 good gond, front end wreck: 10k? or cheap import 20k engineering etc, 20k plus surely on the cheap side finished on road with custom flared rear guards, kit etc, 100k is my guess at the least, based on finding a front cut R35 from middle of roof/chassis forward and actually engineering the chassis as a half-replacement for the M35....... 100k todays money might be falling short tho but give it a few yrs and when there are more R35 wrecks around it'd be worth a shot.
  11. true ruby, very true Id hit it. lol hey carl thats f**ked up dude,
  12. umm, no thanks tacky +1
  13. did you bring back some ganji I ordered? any pics of R35 GTR / Stagea converted wagons???
  14. was going to buy a cosmo prior to the stagea but couldnt even get behind the wheel - made for small people tune tomorrow, just a quick little one. cant afford anything atm, bills to pay but no money so, probably just an hour on the dyno mapping 2nd and 3rd gears, for air:fuel ratios and slight fuel/timing adjustments got a set of 3-guages to go into a din slot, and the injector setup but no moolah to pay for install, yet anyone interested in ecu eprom tunes? eventually want to get a wideband sensor, rom tuner and muck around with mine, learn etc, then offer a service to remap r33's on a local dyno?
  15. the drive ins in a wagon shagg'n enough said
  16. jeez, re-read mr. its been stated that a 3" jjr bellmouth dump pipe (turbo to cat) will net a easy/lazy 20kw plus I cant see how this thread needed 3 pages
  17. 281kw seems pretty ok to me a little sorting out, and you'll crack the big3-oh
  18. firstly unblock the gtr factor bov, or I'll have one plz also, dont you have a leaking gasket at the turbo / exhaust ?? blocking the bov would make this more pronounced....
  19. decided last night, going to save for 10yrs buy a R35-GTR front cut and front-wrecked M35 stagea, and go nuts I want 1
  20. 2200 actually is a decent price for the whole lot interested in end tuneing results, cheers
  21. good to see that its been found ...... sounds like the way my old man got done in the monaro test-drive incident.....
  22. GT-R35 front on M35 wagon omfg ! that looks unreal I want I want
  23. might cruise the Hills at night, probably be at lofty around 11pm-12ish if I end up heading out for some twisties
  24. its absolute bullshit IMHO did everything right and in the correct business manner, and get dicked around like that crazy never mind. setup the Antec TPQ 1000 psu and the Acer 24" B243W HD 1900x1200 lcd screen, very nice. looks like I have a buyer for the spare pc gear so thats good (19" lcd, p5e, q6600, 4gb ram, 850w psu) itching to setup the x58 mobo when i get the i7 chip.... but thanks to MSY that'll be another 10days away. *sigh* never mind, you cant win them all, BUT - I reckon thats against fair trading, to advertise a product no conditions, invoice and sell the product, then place restrictions and conditions after point of sale
