  1. Great effort Theo. Would love to see a pic of your engines oil system (externally of course ) Any 2.0L into the nines yet?? Cheers Glenn
  2. I have a Jatco 3speed in my RB20 powered Valiant Ute. Has a 5000RPM stall speed converter, TransBrake, high flow fluid mods, and all the extra clutches. Good for 600BHP. If I wanted to stengthen the box at all I'd need to get a Titanium input shaft made up ($500 bucks odd). They are identical to a Chrysler Torqueflight/Ford C4, but the machine work and material quality is far better (Jap built). For 900 HP, it will work, it's small and light and has 3 gears.

  16. Thanks CruiseLiner this will help out heaps. Cheers.
  17. Hi Limmy, The RB20DE engine has smaller combustion chambers, diffrent crown on the pistons and no piston oil squirters. Other than that it's just cosmetic
  18. Thats great. Anybody got any pictures of their oil return/drain back fitting to the rear of the cylinder head? cheers
  19. I wounder how this effects oil pressure just by blocking the rear orifice off. cheers
  20. Their is just too many variables to figure with that question I think. Manual trans - Auto trans High stall converters - stock converters Final drive ratios - drive train weight Temperature - oil used RPM It goes on I like to think that what ever power you have on the ground, that you use all of it.
  21. Thanks Craved, thats the best scematic of the oil system on an RB engine I've seen. B uet ifull. Thats great.
  22. It didnt take long once all the sump bolts and nuts were off, it just fell off the engine. So the lower control/ pitman arm joint has to come apart. What about the tie rod? Well with the engine out, the sump is just sitting on the crossmember loose. Hopefully the thing will pop out from the drivers side. Looks like it's just splined into the diff and their is an o-ring into the diff housing as well as the shaft seal and thats it.
