Which state? In NSW I believe that you can drive it, but you must write and sign a letter saying why you are driving it, where exactly you are driving it to, and have the time and date on there. If you get pulled over you show the letter to the cop and as long as you are genuinely heading to the inspection station using the most direct route you will be fine.

Yeah unfortunately lazy servo workers might not do water tests on the tanks regularly enough, which means there could be water in there without them knowing. although if that is the case then they should be receiving lots of complaints.

There seems to be so many crashes at airshows. I guess its inevitable when you're showing off in the air. This one is probably one of the better ones. In NSW it is 7 points and a $384 fine. You could try for an exemption but you need a really good reason to drive that car. i.e. If it was a ute or something you could say you need to drive it for work. I can't think of any reason why you'd need a GT-T.

It'd be ok with an older one like a e36 or older. But i wouldn't recommend doing an engine swap to a e46. I would just sell it and buy something else if I wanted more grunt, but its your car....

Apparently the rev limiter cut the injectors, but not the fuel pump. Fuel pressure built up in the lines till they burst, resulting in fire.
