  1. Optima is back up due to time wasters.
  2. Optima sold pending payment.
  3. I'm surprised there is still talk about #6 running lean considering how many people are logging individual cylinder EGT proving fairly conclusively (IMO) that the opposite is true. For a start the corrections required to balance EGT vary dramatically on and off boost.
  4. The last two 'nice' features with dynamic alarm set points are pretty exciting IMO. Glad you could include them.
  5. Hey Mark - do you have rb26 or 25 cam covers? I've seen a few people choose to run the 25 covers now.
  6. Open to reasonable offers. At this stage looking like keeping the weds and gauges but make an offer on the other gear.
  7. Engine sold to the large man with a drinking problem.
  8. Photo's of the other parts Gauges Engine Battery
  9. No probs Rob. Had a few queries on cost to ship the wheels, freight to most area's is ~120 using TNT road. Obviously a lot more if you live in the middle of no where!
  10. Thanks Herbie. The TIAL BOV is also sold now. All other gear still available...
  11. ^ that's why internal pumps are mounted vertically. A lot of these under car surge tanks have pretty ugly aspect ratios, if you can't fit something relatively tall compared to it's width what's the point? You'd want to be doing the numbers on max time at WOT, engine fuel demand and lift pump flow pretty carefully to ensure it stays full.
  12. Yes correct, this head & cams have been run on another SAU members race engine and are simply being rebuilt before going on a new short motor. The machinist is shut for Chistmas so I thought I'd get a second opinion. I had/have no interest in being baited into an e-battle about cam selection so the alternative was telling you to take your advice elsewhere. I would apologise for not being delicate enough but your the one throwing the insults.
  13. Constructive comments appreciated. Mafia and Stabby - if the mafia wants to make condescending comments about cam selection in a thread about cam wear then he can expect to get a 'short' reply.
  14. Piss off Mafia, the thread didn't ask 'are these cams suitable for my build which you know nothing about', did it?? Thanks Allan - still feel smooth to touch, appears to be some discolouration from sitting unused for a period of time. Mainly seeking feedback if people have seen this sort of thing deteriorate rapidly or if it's purely cosmetic. Now I've shown the previous owner he says they've been run as pictured in his race engine with no issues which is somewhat reassuring. Edit - thanks Scott, I'll speak to the head shop about micropolishing.
  15. More Hard to see here but it's right on the tip of the lobe.
  16. The photo below tells the story - are the cams usable or no good? They are apexi 270 11.4mm. Thanks, Nick
  17. Brad can you send me those contact details etc please?
  18. Pull your head in mate - the pumps went to the first person to pm/email me.
  19. The gauges are 60mm white, pics to come. Battery is 250.
  20. Hopefully in the first quarter next year but we will see. I still need to find someone to build the engine, and that's assuming the new head hasn't been lost in transit somewhere
  21. Both pumps, the surge tank and pump bracket are sold.
  22. Brake master, clutch master & slave rebuilt plus some braided brake & clutch lines. Just need to give the booster a sand and coat of paint. Also grabbed some adjustable LCA's - I think originally godspeed but the welds have been ground back and professionally re-welded, they've also been machined to take off the shelf SKF bearings rather than the chinese bearings they came with. Rebuilt both wastegates with new diaphragms/springs etc and set them up with shortened speedflow fittings (without cutting them down they limited valve travel). Time to make some intercooler pipes and find someone to do the wastegate plumbing and new dump pipe.
  23. BOV isn't plumb back. As the guys above said, 044 can be run in tank or external but these two are spoken for.
  24. Bit of a clear out of parts I no longer need, reasonable offers considered. I will add more as I remember. 1. Bosch 044 Limited use, two available. Was going to run twin pumps but going with a large single instead. 100each 2. HKS DB Chrono Boost and Oil Pressure Gauges Include all cables, control unit and sensors. Pricey buggers no longer in production. Very slim profile (can easily be double sided taped anywhere on the dash). Have peak recall, replay and all that jazz refer here for full description: http://www.nengun.com/hks/db-meter-chrono 300 for the pair 3. Surge Tank Includes 6AN hose tail fittings. Bottom outlet is -10AN. 120ono 4. Optima Yellow Top Battery Limited use. Presents as new. Terminals included. 330ono 5. RB26 Long Motor Standard rb26 head Arias forged pistons, N1 oil pump Std bearings etc Completely rebuilt ~10k km's ago, leakdown was in the 18-22% range when last checked. This motor didn't have any piston slap when cold but did use a reasonable amount of oil (built with generous tolerance's by previous owner). Ideally suit rebuild/freshen up. Does NOT include cam covers, sump, plenum, balancer or any ancillaries. 1500 6. TIAL 50mm BOV Black, un-marked. As new 200ono 7. WEDS TC005 17 x 9.5 +30 forged Ultra-light (7.3'ish kg per corner) wheel with concave face. Easily clear 355mm brakes as pictured. 1750 8. Greddy Oil Cap Blue. 100ono Will post anywhere in Aus, buyer pays shipping. PM or email [email protected]
  25. Not yet Will send you a PM and hang tight for some cage pics!
