  1. ok, to begin with excuse my ignorance cause i have NFI when it comes to suspension. and many other things I went to have a rego check done for my 32 on the weekend and the guy said that my front right upper control arm needed replacing. What i want to know is - Are "control" arms and "camber" arms the same thing, except camber arms give you adjustment? - I do a few track days a year, but the plan is to keep the car as stock as possible, i.e no coilovers/lowering. So should i go stock again? - I think i have seen kits from nismo that replace the worn parts on the stock arms - Am i imagining this:-) ? If I'm not imagining this, is it a good option? - are there down sides to going adjustable such as different steering feel, knocks, noises vibrations? Cheers Bobby
  2. Considering the Aus delivered r32 GTR's where $100k in the early 90's, 180 for an r35 doesn't seem that bad.
  3. Good stuff Eug. C'mon people Oran Park GP with timing!
  4. Hey mate, Sent you a PM re airbox. Are you wiling to ship? Should be pretty easy as it's not fragile, just pop it in a carboard box, tape it up and go to post office. Let me know. Cheers Bobby
  5. Srsly though def hoping to quit soon. Was refereeing my 5 year olds soccer game on the weekend and they were running rings around me :-(. Plan is to start morning swims next week and hopefully quit Sion after. And congrats Marsss. Nice work.
  6. NO WAY! I aint no quitter!! Just jks, I quit everyday between around 10pm and 7am.
  7. haha, not just yet. Unless of course someone wants to offer me +$50k :-)
  8. Awesome, finally lessons from the Bozman.!!
  9. Agree for a daily just get a clean example of a regular GTR. If you get something more unique, the fact that you'll be putting on decent k's and driving it everyday will reduce it's value. I'd also suggest to look at cars that have ahd recent engine rebuilds as you'll find a lot of people fork out for a rebuild and then can no longer afford the car. Meaning there are some awesome bargains out there. Re k's on the clock my view is if it can be proved then believe it if not don't. My 92 has just hit 60000k's but i have a continuos service record for the car, and the condition also suggests it true.
  10. Shannons do great prices, but only for existing custs. $300 odd for the 32 GTR compared to well over $600 from others. I love teh shannons!
  11. You need to have a blueslip before the RTA inspection. And yes if it's a clean stock car, it should be fine and easy.
  12. Hey Daniel The docs that i got included (off the top of my head) From your first post I'm assuming they will register it in VIC first? I would tell them to def do this if you can. Might make it easier. Also you will def need to go through the RTA Inspection station as everyone of my imports have been "randomly" selected to be inspected. the bad part is that it's usually 2 weeks after you attempt to register it and they won't let you book in advance. Import Approval Compliance paperwork - this is a few pages long from memory Vic registration certificate Vic pink/blue slip or whatever their equivalent is Receipt from seller Transfer of Registration Try this link, and maybe even pop into your local RTA and have a chat to them. One thing i found is that different RTA's have different levels of "we hate you" when it comes to imports :-) http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/get...tevehicles.html
  13. Yes you can, however you will need to go through a blueslip check, and ensure you have ALL the documentation from compliance, reg in Vic etc etc. Any paperwork that has anything to do with teh car get a hold of it. Import docs, everything. I bought a V35 in QLD and when it came to register it in NSW it took about 3 attempts. Everytime i went to the RTA there was another document they needed. I was just lucky that the owner i bought it off had everything in a nice neat folder for me. Of course it will need to be close to stock to pass the blueslip as well.
  14. Voted 34 cause they look nicer/more modern, but we all know if you want a proper GTR you buy a 32 :-)
  15. basho i think your getting a little carried away. Nissan's loss has very little to do with not servicing "grey imports" in Aus. At the end of the day, Alan is right in that Nissan Aus clearly has a policy of not servicing grey imports. For every cent they could make as has been said you need to also way up the risks. Not providing parts i can't understand, but not servicing i completely agree with. Regardless of an English manual or not, they are simply not trained to work on cars not sold in Aus. If you've bought the car on the assumption that Nissan would be servicing it then you should have done a bit more research, if you knew this was the case and bought anyway (as prob 99% of owners did) then you really don't have much of a reason for getting upset.
  16. There are ADR approved lines. Check some of the sponsors on here.
  17. Liverpool/Fairfield and work in Ryde so anywhere in between. :-)
  18. Yep, and the other reason i went with a NisTune was that it can be tuned by a number of workshops who have software.
  19. Hey guys, Have just remembered i have a set of OEM tyres from when i brought my first coupe over and had to remove them for compliance. They're for 17inch stockies, plenty of tread left. In excellent condition. Will try and get some pics up soon $300ono for all 4. Prefer pick up, but will post at buyers expense. Cheers Bobby
  20. Thanks mate, if i order will i definitely have them in my hands by 15/09? Cheers
  21. Hey Greg, How much for a set of R33 GTR Brembo fronts only to Syd? A1's I got the rears a while back from you and they're great, now my fronts need doing :-) Cheers Bobby
  22. May not be from a z-tune but there is such a thing as "RRR" Nismo blocks. I believe these were what was used in Grp A racing. It pretty much went Standard<N1<RRR. They've been available for ages, but last time i checked they were around the $15k AUS mark, so if its much cheaper I would find out why. If its brand new as that seller says i would also ask for all paperwork. You could quickly check through measurements, but being on the other side of the earth that may be hard :-)
  23. So much for all those saying no one would pay that much for a 32.
