  1. Def would say the OZ cars are collectible. They're quite rare and more so had a different spec list to the Jap cars. I think whne talking collectible people need to stop saying why pay that when you can get this for the same price/cheaper. Collectors pay for the uniqueness of the car and for the history attached. With those 2 criteria the R32 Oz spec cars would be close to the top of the collectible GTR list. In my mind anyway. It would be interesting to see what one would fetch in Japan. After All Only 100 were made They changed the face of OZ motorsport They had a unique spec list Very very small number of them are in original condition If i had the cash to "Collect" GTR's then an orginal Oz spec R32 in excellent condition would be up there with a Z-Tune and a 400R and an R34 N1, and an R33 N1, and an R32 V-spec II N1 etc etc etc
  2. up she goes Thanks to those that have PM'ed but still looking to swap at this stage. Cheers Bobby
  3. I was offered $10k more the day after i bought mine so i gues they're going up in value I think they'll definitely go up, but I also think they're still to common to consistantly demand high prices. I don't think they'll officially be a classic for at least another 20yrs or so. I think the biggest probs though are around the lack of English documentation and Nissan verified specs on the GTR's. Merc for example have an annual book which shows every model, all VIN/chassis #'s, all varients, all options on varients and their current avg price. Something like that ups the prestige of certain cars. I think Nissan need to get their sh!t together and start publishing some English documentation.
  4. Interesting how all the FOTA teams approved the test. 100 bux says its Ferrari's turn to organise strippers for the next FOTA meeting.
  5. Just did a bit of search and some sites are saying Red Bull are blocking others are saying they have approved the test. Almost 50/50 split. Nothing on teh redbull site.
  6. Not the most reliable source but, "Out of courtesy, the other seven members of the Formula One Teams' Association – McLaren, Renault, Toyota, BMW Sauber, Brawn GP, Red Bull Racing and Toro Rosso – gave Schumacher and Ferrari the green light." http://www.foxsports.com.au/story/0,8659,2...5018892,00.html
  7. Gold! And added to sig for ever!
  8. I'm kind of in 2 minds about it. Would love to see what he can do on this years car, but would hate to see the British press react to him losing to homo or button

  11. Sounds insane!!! Can't wait to see some pics. And yes, great to see another N1 in Aus!
  12. Hey Juan, They're there simply to stop you mixing your stock wheels up front and rears. The front stock wheels have a different groove to allow that bolt to sit inside it whereas if you tried to put the rears on the front there is no allowance for the bolt so they won't sit on. Same with aftermarket wheels, they have no allowance for it so you have to remove them. Don't worry about it though, it doesn't do anything but that. Lucky your guy new about it, i got a call from the place i took my car to, saying i got the wrong wheels with the wrong hub diametre, when all it was, was that bolt.
  13. 01/08 I believe. (fixed) Steve, let me know when you're heading out, closer to the date.
  14. Can't wait for the day/nighter. Gonna do my best to be there. Let me know if you need a hand on the day Dunc
  15. bump
  16. Yep. He got tagged by the Mosler into turn 2 in race 1 and went into the pits after that. Went passed a little later and they were working on the left rear wheel.
  17. I run a NisTune on my car. It's basically the stock ECU with the board replaced to make it tuneable. Personally i think its brilliant. You get all the benefits of a stock ECU but now with adjust-ability. My car makes 280kw at the rears, and for what is mostly a street car with the odd track day its fine. No issues what so ever. In saying that it depends on what you are doing with the car. Mine is largely stock and will stay that way, so personally at this stage i had no need to go to an aftermarket ECU when i had this set up, installed and tuned for under $700.
  18. Drunken I think he was referring to teh post before your's and the pic of Skaifes car. As for your car - you suck! Not too much though, cause i prefer the first release of that scheme with the white on the bottom, not blue
  19. Hey guys, I'm considering returning my GTR to stock so am looking to swap a few items. Sydney only. Brakes I have front ONLY 33GTR Brembo's, with Brembo pads, braided lines. 1 rotor has a small crack so you can have these as well, but ignore them for the deal :-) I'm after 32GTR Callipers, + lines + cash my way. Depending on the rotors and pads you have have i may consider these as well. Wheels I've got 4 33GTR 17inch wheels. 2 in very good condition, 2 with decent gutter rash, lips bent. There are no probs at all with holding air, as have used them on the track, and they're on my car now as my street wheels. Tyres are Yoko's top of the line street with heaps of tread. Will get pics soon. I'm after stock 32GTR Wheels in very good condition + cash my way, no tyres (unless their semi's). So if anyone has anyhting let me know.
  20. Hi Please do a search. 350z suspension has been discussed many times. If you can't find what you're looking for, let me know and I'll open the topic again. Cheers Bobby
  21. I also used shell when i had the V35, and didn't notice any probs. I'm strictly just going off what a few different Nissan service guys have said in different states. Pretty much all agreed that the VQ35's (in the Maxima's) only ran as they should on 98, and it was common that Shell wasn't a preferred fuel.
  22. Have never ran it in the V35's i had, but have used it for a little while in my 04 Maxima and i wouldn't recommend it. Regardless of what Nissan says. I noticed the Max started pinging a little off the lights under load, and after looking into it, found that Nissan Aus where only recommending certain brands of 98 Octane for the VQ35. Even though the Maxima's are listed as ok for E10, and that 95 is also ok. Looking into it more, I'm finding the VQ35's are very sensitive to fuel. Off the top of my head, the recommended fuel was either BP, Caltex or Mobil. People were still have probs with Shell apparantly.
  23. The whole SAU For Sale "methodology" is currently in review. And as such i'm pretty sure we won't be adding any new for sale sections at this stage. To be honest a simple search on V35 in the for sale section quickly weeds out any non V35 adds. You guys have it easy! Try searching on R32, or GTR or both and see how many non related adds you get. I'm happy for, for sale adds to keep coming in this section for now, but if they start overrunning the forum, we will need to stop it and have them in the for sale section only. Jon, your point around many threads about the same thing, I would completely agree with. Unfortunately no matter how many times you ask people to search before posting, for some reason everyone seems to think they're the first person with a specific issue and so start a new thread. This is not unique to the V35 section, but common to pretty much all forums everywhere. There is a thread in the "sticky's" that Chris Rogers has gone to a lot of effort to put together, yet people still start new threads asking about the same things. Cheers Bobby
  24. Yeah, I think Grp A has probably been one of the best formats to date. The problem is that the exact rules which made it great, also killed it. (no caps on development types and spend) I mean even F1 has limits to what you could do, where as Grp A really didn't. Rules were only introduced after a car would come out and smash everything ;-) The current FIA GT series is probably as close as you could get to a replacement and you can see by they're rules that they learnt from Grp A. ie no AWD. Other than that you have showroom series' which i like as well, but think the Aus rule of a price limit is silly. Let all comers race and simply have different categories like they do.
