  1. Have thought about but looking into this option first. cheers
  2. Hey guys, Can anyone help with sourcing NISMO GMAX Clutch plates? I have a quote from my local Autobarn, just looking to see if anyone can better it. Part number is 3010C-RS040 i believe. Cheers Bobby
  3. Especially if Tez is self diagnosing! Great work with the letter's guys.
  4. Hey mate, I'm pretty sure I've got a set but am in Sydney. If you like PM me an offer and if we agree I'll find out how much it is to send them over. Will need your postcode as well. Cheers Bobby
  5. lol At least it was Epic chubbs!
  6. Nah Michelle if he got defected it must have been the MX5, and for sure he's been defected for driving a girls car without a permit!
  7. My clutch literally sh@t itself when it heard teh awesomenesssss of the MX5 was gonna be there! :-) On a plus, looks like i should have it sorted in the next couple of weeks!
  8. Mate it's looking very unlikely unfortunately. I was considering, turning up, switching off the boost controller and running on 10PSI but doubt that would be too much fun. Plus it's not a quick drive home should the thing sh!t itslef. I'll make a decision very soon.
  9. How much did they charge you for the clutch out of curiosity? I need mine changed. Have a chat to them. being a long term customer hopefully they'll be reasonable.
  10. Given the shear embarrassment of being beaten by an MX5 i might have to pull out. Unfortunately my clutch decided yesterday that it doesn't want to play any more and I'm getting nothing on boost. Just revving freely. It's fine under normal driving but anything else and it's useless. I'm gonna take it for a drive on Fri/Sat and if it's up for it i'll be there, if not Mark i'll be in touch for my spot. If that's ok with Peddler?
  11. Awesome day guys, and congrats Mark and Russ. I'm spewing there's so much crap in the way on this pic but still my fav of the day.
  12. Exactly my experience with Bel. No complaints at all. They even did extra work and stuck with the original quote. I think this is the key. Its not as if you asked specifically for them to do this and they didn't, you just thought they would. The only advise i can give you is for things like that be very specific and ask them to do exactly that first. Then if they d!ck you around you've got a leg to stand on. just my 2c
  13. Hey mate, what condition are the trims that go around the rear side windows? If they're not peeling and are in pretty good condition, how much posted to Syd? Ready to buy if the condition is correct. Cheers Bobby
  14. At this stage yeah, will be. But same as you wont be sure until closer to the day.
  15. Steveo, I have 33GTR wheels :-) Are you planning on going to this?
  16. I'd bring my proper GTR along but don't want to take the attention away from all you...., sorry what where they 43?, R24 something or other?. Sounds awesome guys and great job Eug and Terry. Will definitely do my best to be there.
  17. Hi, Welcome to SAU. Please take a look through the section and do a little search. This has been covered many many times. Cheers
  18. Ben, These suction mounts seem pretty good. Looks to be exactly like the one i had on teh GoPro and never had a prob with. Only these are designed to hold a bullet cam instead. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Strong-Suction-Moun...A1%7C240%3A1318 I've seen people velcro them to teh roll cage, but prefer the suction mount
  19. I've decided I'm going with the Sandisk V-mate set up V-mate - now $69 (plus delivery) on Ebay Sony 480line CCD Camera $130 The rest will be bits and pieces needed from Jaycar, who now also make an external mic for CCD Camera's. I was worried about not being able to view what was just recorded but have a portable DVD player which plus into cig lighter socket. The V-mate can plug straight in through RCA's. I'll also use this to set it all up as the camera will also use RCA's My next track day is 13th May so want to have it all done by then. Wish me luck!
  20. Easy chubbs, We all take each other for a spin and decide who was quickest. If we can't pick a winner, then we settle it like men! Nipple Cripples at 10 paces!! Mark, I've paid and am on the list but no one's confirmed with me either. I'm gonna jump on autosports and check now.
  21. Brad, when recroding on the track do you use the hard disc or and SD card? I was looking at soemthing like this but everyone told me to saty away from the hard disc units as every bump causes it to skip and you loose anything recorded.
  22. lol swirls will only re-appear if you just used a "filler" of some type or you caused them again through washing. If you get rid of them properly and don't cause new swirls (which is hard not to do) then there is no reason for them to re-appear. If you take the right steps when detailing and follow the advice of experts its actually fun seeing the results. There's a great thread in the general maintenance section here or the holy grail of detailing sites - Autopia.
  23. :-) As long as you sign a form before we go out, specifically detailing that you will not laugh at my driving at any time.
  24. Hey mate, I have no doubt a detailer would have done a better job. Actually a much better job, but considering the total cost to me was just over $150 in Zaino detailing products (which have another 10 or so uses in them) and some time, I'm very please with the results. I also wanted to "give it a shot" as I'm pretty into detailing and looking after my cars. Cheers
  25. Hey mate, Dr Detail, definitely has a very good reputation. I got him to come take a look at my V35 when i had it and i think the quote was around the $300 mark just to remove the swirls and nothing else. Being a bit of a tight ar$e at the time, i decided to give it a shot myself. Started off very slow and just worked my way through the car. I used a very very fine swirl remover with a rotory buffer at first. Not much result so went with a slightly more course swirl remover. Much better. went back to the fine one to finish it off. For the polish and sealers, i used Zaino which give it that very "wet" look, and lasts very long. Any way, long story short, 2 days of hard work in the garage! The end result. I loved it! As for the $400 a tub wax, swisswax make a massive range of products and believe me if he uses the $400 wax, you will pay for the $400 wax.
