  1. You kill me chubbs!!
  2. i think you mean butt pirates
  3. I'm giving mine one more shot. I get a decent picture but no sound, so off comes the lense guard for waterproof use and I'll leave the back open to try and get some sound. If it works great if not ebay here it comes.
  4. Bloody mexicans. Such an abundance of dick down there they're trying to offload it up this way! Hey Paul, go do a hook turn somewhere :-)
  5. Now were talking. First one is not bad, but no thanks on the second one. doesn't do nothing for me. I still prefer the saurus car though :-) Another pic of the saurus. Damn i love this car!
  6. Nice pics guys, but if you're talking 32's, i challenge you to find a nicer example that the saurus 32.
  7. Yep, Carl's car is gorgeous! As for getting through compliance, my understanding is that the car came over stock, and he had it twin turbo'd. It then let go on him at Wakefield, after which he had the engine shipped to teh US for the works, which is what you see on it now. Nothing better than a Skyline fan who has the money to enjoy what he loves.
  8. hey mate, Can you send me a PM for stock air box to Sydney? Cheers Bobby
  9. hey mate, if the airbox falls trhough can you shoot me a PM? Cheers Bobby
  10. A really good reason (poor lighting etc) and why i probably wouldn't use something like the gopro again. The only thing i was worried about from a normal cam perspective is scruitineering and potentially the difference in requirement from event to event. Wakefield for example said the go pro was a no no :-) Until they started stocking it themselves. But they did advise a few people i know that they wouldn't allow it due to the suction mount.
  11. The US G35's where the only one's that got a "sport pack" Consisted of revised shocks, springs sway bars and 19inch wheels. Also if you dodn't have Brembo's it would be an auto correct? As all manual 03/04 coupes had Brembo brakes.
  12. Completely agree, I've used a go pro a couple of time inside the car and sound is shocking. Actually i wouldn't even call it sound. The version i have is the go-pro Hero, which comes with EXCELLENT mounts. Including, suction, dash, and helmet mounts. (More the reason i got it) Go-Pro say the suction mount is good for 150mph on the outside of the car. It's tiny and comes in a waterproof housing. At my next Wakefield event I'm gonna test it on the outside to see if the sound is any better, but given wind noise i doubt it. Mission two will be to fab up some mounts that will allow me to use a better cam on the Go Pro mounting system. But given it will be a much heavier cam i won't be trying on the outside.
  13. Just read though the regs and have some questions if anyone can help? - 1.7.4 All drivers must provide evidence of the last 3 motor racing events they have competed in. It will be the discretion of the organising committee to accept drivers to compete. How do you do this when they're track days? - Be fitted with a return spring on each throttle in the event of the throttle linkage becoming detached. What's this??? - Bonnet Catches: Cars must be fitted with at least 2 independent fastening systems, of adequate strength and limited extensibility, which simultaneously hold the bonnet or panels closed. Does this mean just 1 additional fastener as the stock bonnet latch is ok? Cheers Bobby
  14. Congrats guys. And woohoo, another workshop close to home :-) Will try and make it out on the day.
  15. It was unveiled last night. They're official images. Also i kind of don't mind it. From dead side on, I think it looks good. Much more streamlined than the last cars. Front on though is a different story.
  16. How to make grown men cry! Skaify having a not so good day. More pics here http://forums.biante.com.au/showthread.php?t=11825
  17. Really considering this. If anyone is short a car for their team, let me know.
  18. Cool, I'm 15mins from there. If i'm free will come down. Wanna see the beast. I'll bring the CAMS license as well just in case i get the itch :-) Sunday 18th weather - Syd Max 20 degrees. Cloudy
  19. Are you looking a chance buddy?
  20. Hey Thomas, CAMS license should be ok in any state. I lost mine recently and organised a reprint to me sent in a few days. Free of charge, just give CAMS a call, and tell them you need it ASAP for an event.
  21. Yeah i think if GT having no damage is every ones pet hate. It would make the game much more realistic.
  22. I actually enjoy the GT series and will continue to buy pretty much every title they release. I just think that the PC games are much more flexible. Also games like GTR2 and rFactor have all been around for years. Not really. GTR allows you to download street cars now from pretty much any make and model. If there is a demand for it those talented folks who come up with the mods will make it. Don't get me wrong, as i said, I love the GT series. But when you can get all that and more on a PC game which after 2 years is constantly releasing new cars and tracks, I don't know, i just think you get a better overall game with GTR2/rFactor. Another example, last night i downloaded the Proto-Cars mod for the game. That's over 300 new cars, featuring every car from the American LeMans series, the Le Mans series and one other LM series, including every championship from each series since 1999.
  23. I've played every game in the Gran Turismo series and gotta say that a PC sim like GTR2 kills every one of them. On top over time with new mods they just get better and better. I know have everything from the Japan GT500, GT300 series to 1988 F1 championship, to classic cars championships like escorts, Jag E types, GT championships, World Super GT Championships (F50, Mac F1 Aston etc etc). Even star in a budget car from UK top gear. You also have endless tracks, and get to download your locals. Oran Park, eastern crk, Winton, Hidden valley, bathurst, phillip island etc etc. F1 car around bathurst is nuts! Gran Turismo just can't compete with that.
  24. Bring it on. Just spent 10 minutes thinking why a P plater (or any driver) would need to be driving 20k's over the limit and came up with none. To work it must be a black and white law. No judges discretion.
  25. Happy B'day Ando. All the best!
