Help Me Pick A Set Of Old School Race Wheels!
NISMO replied to GTS4WD's topic in Exterior & Interior Styling
Watanabe's. Check their site, there's a couple of pics with the 32's and they look great. I've got a pic at home i think, I'll put up later. -
No Worries, Yeah almost positive that all the fuses for lights are in that box behind the battery. I might have a pic at home of the cover of the 3rd fuse box with shows what's it in it. I remember taking one incase i ever needed to change a fuse, i would know what's in it without taking the battery out. I might have deleted it though after i sold the V35. I'll check when i get home.
-
You're best bet for an english version would be to look up on an American site. But, when i did my Xenons, the fuses related to headlights where the ones behind the battery :-) So in all honesty i would start there. It's a 15 sec job to get the battery out, and if i remember correctly these fuses are labelled in English(or have pics) cause i know i changed a few fuses. Cheers Bobby

Thinking About Selling My V35 ... :( :(
NISMO replied to _L8RSXY_'s topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Stunning car Kareem. But Mark has a point. Carl has had his completely built twin turbo coupe for sale for months now and is not getting the money he wants. I think the HKS car which is thousands cheaper is also still for sale. There's a 32 GTR for sale which probably has had the same attention to detail as your car has that's been trying to sell for somewhere in the 50's for almost a year and is now down to mid 30's and still for sale. It's a tough market mate, but good luck with it buddy. Personally i would tough it out for a while, you never know some multi might have nothing better to do with his cash and really likes the colour :-). It's happened before. -
Can't believe everyone's missed it. "Cars" Ka-ching! Have two boys under 5 I have seen this movie bordering on 20katrillion times. No i aint exagerating!

Stupid Arse Simple Question
NISMO replied to Mr Eps's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
Go and check them out in person. Pics don't do the series 2 justice. Honestly having owned both, jumping into teh series 1 from a series 2 seemed like i was going back to an R33. I know it sounds silly but you really need to check them out. The angle of the dash is quite different and the way the centre console sits between you and the passenger is quite different. -
A Little Frustrated With Re-built Gearbox....again!
NISMO replied to superspit's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
What flywheel did you go with? If you've gone factory then it shouldn't be related. If it's aftermarket could be a different feeling your getting due to the flywheel. The stock item is a dual mass flywheel which dampens, noise, vibrations etc etc. A lot of aftermarket items, actually pretty much all, are not dual mass and so you might be feeling this, rather than what was the prob before. When i changed my clutch it definitely was the case, but i knew it would happen before i did it so no real surprise. -
Does anyone know if something happened to force the rule change? ie camera comes loose, fly's through cabin, knocks out driver, car out of control hits wall. Or is it CAMS being CAMS

I've had a series 1 and a series 2, and you're 100% correct. The Series 2 is much nicer to sit in. Sounds a bit silly that minor changes could do that, but for me the series 2 felt much classier. Saying that i sold my Series 2 and got a Series 1 but that was more cause i was after a 6sp with Brembo's. :-) The other thing with series 2 auto's is that they had "rev matching" were when shifting down using the tiptronic the throttle is blipped by the ecu to keep revs up during the down shift. Sounds great and does work, but not really worth writing home about. -
Awesome idea. I think us Sydney siders are due for a Kangaroo Valley cruise.

Cool thanks Tim, I've actually found an SD version which I'm waiting on pricing for, out of the UK. It's listed as 199 pounds which is far cheaper than the POV1. No doubt the quality won't be as good, but for someone like me who just does the odd track day should be fine. Comes with a screen to review, mic, cam and recorder.
-
Guys, anyone know if the POV1 has anything uniquely motorsport related about it? Was looking on the web yesterday and you can pick up a DV Recorder 320gig for around $300, add to that a small mic and camer, which plug straight in, and your only around the $500 mark. Here is the recroder, Sharp Cam $120

Sticking with white steveo or is time for some candy red with 10inch gold flake goodness!! My ex neighbour, has a few vintage cars that he only trusts one place to paint, he is more than impressed with the work, and he isn't impressed easily. He's taken a painter to court for an $8k paintjob, that had a run in the wheel well. I'll grab the shops details when i see him next.
-
Not surprising though. I was quoted from $350-$1200 for my oil cooler instal. The $1200 was a basic minimal quote, and my $350 quote included making custom brackets and everything needed, including a top up of Royal Purple!. Hence why i am very happy with Bel Garage!
-
100% agree with Yavus, cannot fault him on anything. I spoke to him on the phone inquiring about work to be done, he gave me a price and a time frame, which did not budge once the car was dropped off. He is an absolute pleasure to deal with and know's his sh!t I've also been to Bel a couple of time recently and exactly as above, cannot fault the guys. Both places excellent service and i wasn't spending big bucks either. Run of the mill stuff.

And there you have it ladies and gents, summed up in one sentence. That should be the official reply to anyone saying, it's too big, too ugly, too V6 instead of straight 6, too auto instead of "real" manual. What is the world coming to when a Z owner defends the GTR to GTR owners! :-)

A mate who had a criminal conviction for DUI and was in Vegas later that year. So he definietly got through customs without a prob. I'm about 99% sure that he applied after the court case as well.

Deciding Whether Or Not To Build A Cheap Track Car
NISMO replied to R33_Dude's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
I can see where you're going with the XF. There's a guys who's come to a couple of track days with a falcon, not much more done to it other than stripped interior and cage. Was speaking with his old man at the track and he said he picked it up for under $10k and was having a ball in it. Street registered and all. I think the user name was motoraction or something like that. Kepp en eye out on My105 for corolla's. There are some crazy examples going for very decent prices. -
fu(k did i walk into that one!
-
Hey Adam, But does that also mean 36 cars on the track if there are 36 teams? I'm an unbelievable skillfull driver, but I think when they see fatz on the track the rest of the field will pit and therefor fatz' team will win Seriously though, 36 teams on teh track at once on Wakefield, made up of weekend racers could get a little hairy. What happens if it's wet?
