  1. Really good point. I was worried about mine mounting horizontally under the car, and was going to mount it between the cooler and radiator but decided against it for air flow. As i said with mine I actually really really struggle to see 90 degrees, let alone 110. On the NSW Putty Rd cruise it didn't even get to 85 degrees. And that's non stop twisties.
  2. That's the one i got, and it is brilliant. I am yet to see temps on my 32 above 85 degrees. Last week i took it work, on the way home 30degrees, over an hour in traffic and it didn't move over 85 degrees. Very easy to install as not one single part needs to be removed from the car! I also got the largest core and lines, -12 braided lines and i think 16 row core. No pressure drop at all after the install.
  3. Yeah i think he was talking close to 1k above a normal trailer for the same thing. You'd probably save in things like fuel if your towing weekly and even wear and tear on the tow car (towing less weight) but if your using it once every few months, then i dunno know.
  4. Forgot to add, I'm also the Mod for the V35 section so if I'm not allowed to come I'll delete the thread. :laughing-smiley-014:
  5. Oooh, I used to own a V35. Does that count? :-) Seriously though, I'm very interested. Haven't done a track day since July in the V35, and dieing to get the GTR out. I'd probably leave Syd(Liverpool) around 6am though. Especially if it's going to be a bit warmer, my car's not a big fan of the heat so would want to be kicking as early as possible. Unlike the V35 where I could blast around with the air con on! Keep us updated!
  6. haha, nice plan. Kinda why i bought a model R35. They say the first step is the hardest so should be a piece of pi$$ from here! back to trailers, went past Unique Trailers the other day, and Peter just finished his first aluminum trailers. Light as, you can lift it off it's front axle from the front by yourself. Still has to do a bit of testing on it, but the best part is no rust!
  7. Hey Trent, Yeah it's been on for a while, including a spirited 200k drive up the infamous "Putty Rd" here in NSW and also during tuning on the dyno for a day, both with no probs at all. Fingers crossed everyone is right and its the sender.
  8. Thanks guys, I'm starting to relax a little again :-) I'll definitely be doing the a/market guages and hopefully won't see the prob again.
  9. I'm kinda hoping that's the case. I've asked the fat red dude, for a set of guages for Xmas including oil temp, pressure and water temp. Which I'll hopefully install in the next week or so. I might drop the oil to be safe but there goes another $150 if i do that. Still better than a rebuild i suppose.
  10. Forgot to add, oil is topped up and over "H" and no leaks or anything found. Oil is about 200k's old.
  11. I know oil pressure has been discussed over and over again, but something weird happened on the way home yesterday. My oil pressure has never had any problems since I've had the car. I've installed the largest GREX cooler and with decent length lines there was no pressure drop whatsoever. The guage usually shows 2 bar on idle and increases no drama's above 4 when accellarting. Yesterday though in traffic, I pulled up to a set of lights and it dropped to 0. No warning light though. I took off on the green light and it raised to around 1bar and slowly got to 2. At the next lights it dropped to 1 bar at idle. Got upt to 2bar on driving. On the following lights it again dropped to 0 like the first time. That was then it. The next half hour was as per normal, 2 bar on idle and increasing on accellaration. Got home, left the car alone for an hour or so, started it up and no drama's. Above 2 bar on idle. My thoughts are 1. There's something in the sump blocking pick up 2. Faulty guage/sender - only the factory one 3. Could it be the heat? I was driving for about an hour in traffic stop start an dthe oil temp was around 85degrees. Not high i know but just thinking if the heat in the engine bay somehow messed with sender to the guage. (clutching at straws) If i take it for another drive and all is ok, should i continue until it happens again? I 'm thinking to drop all the oil and see if there's anyhting in the pan. Could the oil pump cause any of this? It's a 92 car but with very low genuine k's and all other parts of the car show condition in line with the low k's. Should i be worrying about the pump? Cheers Bobby
  12. Display looked awesome guys. Spoke with Marijan the other day and he was really pleased with the weekend. A bit down that he didn't get any individual awards but got over it pretty quick :-) He went for a bit of a drive on the Sunday and got pulled over. Luckily no defects, but the nice polite lady officer, took his phone number and address saying she might send him a nice invite to visit the EPA :-) He tried arguing that his exhaust was called a HKS Silent so there's no way it should be too loud but didn't get very far.
  13. 1 very hot wife, 1 small child Left arm Right leg And a patridge in a pear tree!
  14. Yeah I don't get it. If he had hit a family of four, instead of a tree and only killing himself, he'd be a wanker, but because he only injured himself it's somehow noble? Gimme a fu(kin break. I'm not saying that I or anyone else here are angles and that we never speed, but I'm not going to give the guy a wrap for going out doing what he "loved".
  15. Just spoke to a mate who was out there all weekend, and they packed up their camera's on both days when the Grp A/C's came out.
  16. Exactly! get some high quality "Paint Cleaner" not some abraisive crap that strips your paint, and give it a good clean. Should remove the stain. Then give it a good polish and seal with either a wax or a polymer sealer. This should then protect the paint from further staining.
  17. You can try your luck on teh streets around it. It's mostly two hours free. Otherwise there parking lots all around with about a 15min walk.
  18. Spoke to Marian last night and he should have fired it up last night or this morning. Either way he said if he's not driving it, he'll trailer it down :-) Good luck guys, will pop in tomorrow.
  19. Oh, and I might get out there tomorrow morning. Harness time!
  20. Sammeh, you referring to the st name, or Chubbs in a race suit?
  21. Yep exactly. To be honest I wouldn't be surprised if they hedged the entire value of their initial allocation. That way they can 100% continue with the initial price advertised, as LSX is saying. Down the track, or when ever they feel like profiteering, they might say, oh well, dollars down, price goes up.
  22. I'm pretty sure that when they install the board the ECU retains all maps and settings it had with the board they take out. Like they copy it or something. And then the tuner does his part.
  23. Sorry don't know how it works exactly, but in my case Took out ECU and sent away ECU came back with Nistune board and retained all maps which were in my stock ECU Drove it for a week with no probs Took it to tuner to tune :-)
  24. Not necessarily. I don't doubt that Nissan would have hedged against the current yen rate at the time when they confirmed the GTR was coming. Especially for the first lot of cars. I don't doubt the price will go up if the rate stays as is, but given the negative impression this will put on potential buyers I really doubt they will increase the price from the get go. As for the Porsche, unless the dollar has held up against the German currency while dropping against all others, then you can easily say that you can add a similar amount to the price of a Porsche.
