  1. ^+1 There are companies out there that do nothing but make replica's of cars. Given in most cases it's purely because the originals are so rare and cost so much. I see nothing wrong with making a replica, but as others have said if the cost is going to be that high, you may want to hold out a bit and just buy the real deal.
  2. And up she goes!
  3. Yep, In that video the N1 car is from the N1 racing series that Japan runs. It's pretty much a production car series, hence why Nissan built teh N1 spec road cars. The actual name of the series i believe was N1 Super Taikyu. No idea if the regs are still production based as they were in the time of the 32, but here's a link to teh current series. some stunning cars!! http://www.so-net.ne.jp/s-taikyu/
  4. Bump
  5. As per title, will pay shipping if out of Sydney. Will swap for M's pod filters with cash your way or buy outright. Cheers Bobby
  6. To be honest the NRMA sh!ts me more than the price rise. Every public holiday its the same crap coming out from them. We love the drivers we love consumers, yet they'll happily bend you over and jamb 3 bricks sideways up your ar$e when telling you it's justified to insure your $15k import for $4k a year. Farking clowns, the government doesn't give a crap about the NRMA, and they have not achieved a sinlge price reduction in fuel even though they've been crapping on about this for decades! Sorry - I just find it a bit rich for an insurance company to be going on about consumer protection/rif offs. Pot Kettle Black ? Can't wait for the banks to start telling us the NRMA is ripping customer off.
  7. Give the garages a shot Ben when you get there. At the Autosports day a few weeks back, I got there and found Eugen all set up in one. He said he tried it and it was open, we found another 7 or 8 also open and they were all being used and no said anything. Worth a shot. If they get the sh!ts, reverse out
  8. +1. NEVER!!! Am still amazed at how many brand new jerseys you see at every parra game. Nice and slowly now - BAND-WAGON!
  9. A couple of weeks ago at OP i moved asside to let Matt through, and when he passed, I was pi$$ing myself so much after seeing kitty swinging on the back that i locked up and nearly went off teh track. At the same time Matt passes just before a corner and is to busy waving hello so he ends up with with his right wheels on the ripple strip on a left hand turn. Was a hilarious 10 secs.

  11. When Somewhere around 98/99 i think, when i had my 33 GTS25t Where Wakefiled Park With who Unique Autosports Any pre-setup involved Bled the brakes and away we went. Favourite memory of the day Favourite part was hiting the kink at the end of teh straight for the first time, woo baby. Got out of the car after the first session and, my wife (then GF) asked why i was so white, yet couldn't stop grinning! Wanted to get back out straight away so thought i would mix it with the big boys. Second lap around, a formula ford zipped up my inside just after the kink, being in the boat didn't see him till after he was in front of me. Said to myself, settle down tiger, pulled in that lap and ran with the noob's again for the rest of the day. :-) Things you learnt; about your car, yourself or the trackHEAPS!!!! Without doubt the best thing i ever did that day was get an instructor in the car with me. No matter how much of a hotshot you think you are, it's amazing just how good a proper driver is. The smoothness and car control amazed me. Also a day out on the track really helps get rid of the speed bug on the streets. I was totally worn out and in all seriousness was driving like a granny from then on, on the streets and left the quick stuff for the track. I was one of slowest on the day, but probably the happiest one there. You don't have to have 4kabillion kw's to enjoy a track day. The fun part is mastering the corners. I've now taken almost every car I've since owned to a track day, including a 100% stock V35 auto!!
  12. Hi Ryan, Re bulb, take it out and go to any parts store. They should have them. If they're Xenon bulbs obvioulsy they will cost a bit more. Either way, take it out, should have a part number on it. Re faded trim - check either the "Cosmetic/styling" section or "General Maintenance" section for help on detailing. Also closing the topic as pretty general questions which I'm sure have already been answered elsewhere. Cheers Bobby
  13. Jesus, when did this become the McLove forum! Someone reading the last couple of pages of this would be forgiven for thinking that they were actually doing alright this season
  14. Thread Cleaned. Folks, its pretty simple. If you're not interested in buying want someone is selling, then don't post. If you know of a super dooper deal where you can get 10billion more kw for half the price then either buy it or start a separate thread. It took A LOT of convincing to allow FS threads in this section, and if the kind of crap that popped up here does so again, we'll simply move all FS threads to the FS section.
  15. Do you have a standard airbox? Cheers
  16. Agreed. Pics of pie or it never happened!
  17. Sir Nick, it's time you "aired" out teh R as well. Let me know if you need someone to *cough* baby it around while you have fun in teh Evo!
  18. sent you a PM. Cheers Bobby
  19. Awesome stuff Stu. But does this mean no more scaffolding to dodge :-)
  20. I actually don't mind the new rex's. A couple of mates have a sedan and a coupe and they are nice cars. Would i sell the GTR for one. def not, but as a car for the money you'd be hard pressed to beat it. Went for a drive in one the other day (sedan) and was pretty surprised. I've also driven almost every incarnation of the STI except the latest, and as others have said different kettle of fish.
  21. 1st lot of tomatoes on there way. :-) No one is saying that a single layer of something is crap. If you had good paint and use a good product it very well might be great. To actually say though that there's no need for sealants etc is a bit naive. To be honest i equate it to why use slicks on a race cars when a set of nangkangs will get you around the track?
  22. Very nice job. Pretty much exactly what i do 2-3 times a year, but replace the Menzerna with Zaino. Just a quick tip for the exhaust stains on the rear bar. I have a white 32 GTR as well and I use Tutle Wax spray on bug and tar remover. This stuff in unbelievable. simply spray on wait 60secs, and lightly wipe off and all stains disappear. Completely safe and doesn't strip polish/sealers. Pretty sure it was under $20 at supercheap and the by far my best ever investment in car cleaning products.
  23. Yes I'm biased yes it's an old thread, and yes just another reason to post a pic of my baby!!
  24. Not just a blue slip, but you'll be "randomly" selected to go to an RTA inspection station for a numbers check to make sure it's all legit. This is where they'll bend you over and start having their way with you. I've brought a V35 in from QLD and the process is pretty much identical to if you were bringing teh car in from Japan. I needed all compliance paper work etc etc. My advice would be try and get the car back to stock. Things like exhausts/wheels are not that bad and shouldn't be a prob. (as long as there legal off course :-) )
  25. Very nice car!! The pics show a wiper, but this is an S1. Basically a customer goes to NISMO and selects the "S1" package as an upgrade. Its not from what i can see one of the 500 NISMO edition cars. Again stunning car, if only the wifey would let me have another :-) Just beat me Eug!!
