370GT sedan would def be great, but given there still quite new in japan, expect the price to be much closer to $50k once they're approved. From what I've heard about 6-8 months away. I had a look at a V36 350GT sedan yesterday, and I'm in love!!!! It was a top of the range SP, and without a doubt probably the best priced car for what you get in the country. Now its just a matter of seeing if i can find the right car in Japan or here. Prices are a bit higher here, but if i get the right trade-in price then I'll probably grab a local one.

Has def been discussed. Please search or check out above link.

Stefan have actually shipped or are about to ship a container to the second round as well. Must have some decent $$'s behind them if they're spending up without any indication if they'll be allowed to race. Have they done any testing with the other teams?
-
Oh, and there's only 10 days left to have your say.

Came across this today. It's the Attorney Generals site where they are asking for submissions on if R18+ Games should be allowed. http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/agd.nsf/Page/...confidentiality You can bet that all the groups who are against this have been notified to make there submissions, so if you have a few seconds have your say. The below is a link to the Word doc template and also has the email address where you send it to. http://www.ag.gov.au/www/agd/rwpattach.nsf...e+-+Feb2010.doc

Brendan, Your's is the ex Apexi (i think) drag car, correct? Its very possible that they used an N1 as the base of the car. I'm purely guessing due to your wiper comment and from your pic i can see it has the N1 lights. Can you check/remember if the last two letters in your Chassis # are "ZN" or "ZY"?
-
If you can get a VIN, it should quickly clear it up. Could be one of a few things though 1. N1's came in white, however this is due to teams quickly painting them in there own colours 2. could be a run of the mill GTR prepped by NISMO for a one make series - haven't heard of one, but not a far stretch 3. Could be something limited like an N1, R1, Z-tune (unlikely) etc which was bought and the retro fitted with the stuff you mentioned Either way, sounds nice and rare or not, find those pics :-)

Another Leon fan boy here. He's done my last two cars, and is awesome to deal with. Come's to you, reasonable price, and is happy to talk you through what he's doing and why. What's great as well is the care he takes with dismantling the trim and then putting the car back together again.

Sorry no idea about the boost without restrictor. I've only had the car dyno'd with an old HKS boost controller which was switched off and not working. It made 10psi and held it. as for the blank plate instead of radio controlls, only the N1's and NISMO versions had them. Wouldn't worry about trying to make one though, as Nissan Japan have them in stock. Cheers

Very nice! Whats left to do? My N1 is almost completely back to stock. It was pretty stock to begin with but a couple of things left to go. - Stock cooler piping - Stock boost controller - Exhaust ( which i have) - Empty DIN slot for when the stereo goes - New rear parcel shelf with no holes hacked in it for speakers - And a blank panel thing where stock GTR's have the radio controls on top of the dash As a saftey measure, I'm leaving my oil cooler on, but it's all bolt on/off so not worried about it.

Perth Loses V8 Supercar Round
NISMO replied to juggernaut1's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
The only prob is that the tracks rely on a % of the door to actually stay in business. Due to whatever reasons, there's no other category that draws the same crowds, hence no V8's equals much less money. Even if after all is said and done, the track walks away with a 100g's profit, thats still at least 80 grand more than they would probably get through regular weekend hires. On the plus side, maybe on their next OS round, the cargo ship could sink wiping out the entire category in a day. -
Nice articel Nick. Congrats mate.

Haven't seen any that have been repaired, but if the bubble is quite small could you put a pin whole in it to stop it increasing?
-
Goddamn, this thing sounded awesome! Had the pleasure of being one of the officials there, which meant i was literally 10cm from the car when it launched. Down side was having to sit down straight after to hide the tent! Also i was the one that timed you on the Go-to-Whoa and to see you do it almost 2 seconds quicker than anyone else was pretty awesome.
-
Personally if a car that is a few years old and is pretty dirty, marks everywhere and the screen not working properly, i would stay away. There are plenty of very nice examples out there so why settle for something you're not entirely happy with?
-
Tom, Is anyone doing anything about it? Being serious, is there anything happening that you're aware of in the drift scene to either lobby the govt or the tracks EC, Wakie etc? Just curious. I think I've heard somewhere that the tracks don't like it cause it damages the surface. Would those that want to drift be prepared to pay a higher price because of that? I just can't see a place like Wakie for example turning down a drift day if the group offered to pay some extra towards potential surface damage.

That's exactly my point. Everyone is jumping up and down sayign ACA did this and TT did that. The only person doing somethign illegal was the guy driving (if the road wasn't legally closed off) The people that need to HTFU, as those having a cry about ACA. Good driver or not, there's no need to do it on the street.
-
Completely agree. I'm farken amazed at the number of people going off at ACA and TT. especially the drift forums. are these guys for real? "ACA suck, we get a bad name cause of them, Police are now going to target drifting blah blah blah" Personally if you're doing that on a public road, i hope they take your car and burn it. Seriously there are groups doing drift events on a weekly basis, just check the events section. But no, we're all to cool for that, and need to take out an innocent family or ourselves to prove how good we are. As farked up as ACA and TT are, there would be no story if he wasn't doing that on a public road.
-
Completely agree that unless the road was closed off this guy deserves anything and everything coming his way - if anything does. Who cares how old the story is, why it was done. Would you like to be in a car coming in the opposite direction with kids in the back seat? FFS, if i want to audition to become Ferrari's next test driver is it ok to do a top speed run down the Hume to mail to them? ACA are a bunch of wanks no doubt about it, but if the road was not closed off, ACA weren't the ones thinking they're the next DK from FnF Tokyo Drift.
