  3. I'm split between the GTR and Z. Would take either without question.
  4. Hey Dave, haha, def will be happy to help stuff sorry set it up. It actually works pretty good. It all works of GPS signals, so as long as you set your start/finish point its good to go. You also only have to do this once. eg I set Oran Park on it, used it on the GP circuit, went back 4 months later to do a south circuit day and it remembered the point and simply started timing laps once i turned it on. Given the the iphone's GPS is not the best you do get some odd laps, but in general its good to see how you go across the day. For $5 (what i paid when it was first released) its pretty decent. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that Wakie is on his list of pre-programmed tracks. Will shoot him a mail about how to get it added, so far he's been very good with set up help.

  6. Hardly a shock cassman
  7. Gotta use Harry's timer. Cheap as and pretty good. at teh start of your day, you set a point of interest on the pit wall. This is your start finish line, then away you go If we do a track walk around you can even set sector points. http://web.me.com/hschlangmann/LapTimer_Homepage/Home.html
  8. Maybe check with your local road authority?
  9. Welcome to SAU. I'm closing this, as there are a whole heap of topics around the forums which should answer your questions. If there's still something specif you need, please feel free to post up a new topic. Cheers Bobby
  10. Loved the paint job lofty!!! Here's a pic i took. Bit blurry but was my first attempt at motion shots
  11. Its cool Andrew, I'll take my Zippo along. Will just take out the cotton thing inside and drop it in Ben's tank. There's at least another 50laps for him there
  12. Watching em really drives home just how much of a revolution the 32GTR was back then.
  13. thread revival! not sure if a repost but i love these clips!
  14. love it! Are you going to mould it to the lip to make it look one piece, or will it stay seperate? Also is the under car part there or is it just the front part in the pics? Either way looks awesome. Maybe get a fiberglass mould done before you fit it cause you might get a few requests
  15. lol - cafuffle
  16. stuff up of the day has to go to Button's team. Can't believe they left the duct cover on the car. Thats something you'd expect in under 9's go kart racing not F1
  17. ffs, if you're going to be a knob at least do it in the wasteland section. no offence to any wasteland regulars
  18. A question for the brokers, Those that have been in it for a while, are volumes of imports coming down? I ask because the most popular imports are easily now available here in Aus, with hundreds to choose from - skylines, supras etc etc, so i would think that the large selection of cars already here are more of an issue to sustainability than any cost associated issue will ever be. The newer models eg V36 skylines, simply don't have the cult followings that the older turbo cars do and I don't think there will ever be the demand for these cars, regardless how much they come down in price. Could be wrong though
  19. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ok, over that. Take care mate, all the best.
  20. re bold section above. Unfortunately people do care. SAU is a forum on which we have paid traders. People paying money for the right to access a target audience specific to their products. This is the one and only issue.
  21. Hey Peter, the S-Tune where not a factory car. The S-tune packages are basically you take your car to NISMO and they put on "S-Tune" spec extra's. Suspension, exhaust, brakes etc etc. There is also an R-Tune option as well, where its just a little more hardocre. So there's no numbers built as anyone can pop into NISMO and have the upgrades.
  22. congrats oh grand poobah all the best guys
  23. Hi. Welcome to the forums. Please do a search though as there are pages and pages of info in this section that answer all your questions and more. Closing thread. Bobby.
  24. If you really want piece of mind, then do it. Its not expensive. As an example i last used Associated Marine Insurance who are underwriters for Zurich i think. Cost was $230 for $23000 car. Was a 2yr old V35 at the time. If the car is worth less, the premium will come down. Easy process, get photos of the car before it boards and pay your premium once they give you the quote. so yeah if no insurance means no sleep, just do it
  25. You da man Shan! You starting the V36 soon ??? Is there a way to leave the colours, screens, text etc all exactly the same but with English writing. I actually like the factory look.
