  1. Yes dealers are pr!icks, but why did you take the car when it wasn't as you signed for. I know its exciting getting a car, but i would have left it there until every little thing was fixed that they agreed to fix. Re gearbox, did you break it? As in launched the car, or were you just cruising along in 5th doing 60 and it let go?
  2. Similar km cars are currently going at the auctions for well below that. Of course its importing v buying local but have a look around i have seen some for $10k cheaper than what you've mentioned.
  3. Haha, Thanks Kristian. Yep saw that and then blanked it out of my memory Oh well Black it is.
  4. When i changed my clutch it had a billet flywheel in there, but no idea if it was from factory or not. The clutch i took out felt and looked like a standard one.
  5. Been checking out cars for a while now and can't seem to find that interior on any Japanese cars. (the pics is obv from a US Infiniti). The JDM bone coloured seats seem to be matched to a light brown dash. Damn it. I'm going to keep looking though.
  6. Nice tip Ben on the live site :-)
  7. Keeping an eye on this as I'm hopefully going to start sorting mine out in the next few weeks. So far will do the floor in an epoxy coat, and use a peg board at the back with a bench along the back wall. I'm actually thinking of getting a mate to do some kind of painting on one of the walls of the Winfield GTR coming over Skyline at bathurst, but just an idea for now :-)
  8. I think the only thing production about the 599xx is the fact it has 4 wheels. Its quicker and rarer than the enzo and FXX. The 599xx will never see a public road as you hire them from Ferrari for 1.5mil a year and they keep the car. The same as what they do with the FXX. All that being said, I would honestly give up a nut, and consider giving up the second one for half an hour in one of these!
  9. Yeah, I actually like the look, and will hopefully start searching for one for the wifey in the next week or so. I'm trying to find an Oz delivered car for similar money and similar spec and nothing even comes slightly close. Ooh and 13.8 quarter aint bad either :-) Have my heart set on white, with the bone interior. Love it, but have so far only seen it in 250 sedans not 350's.
  10. Here you go West. Not much detail, but going off the body and the price, I'm thinking this is a genuine, low mileage with books N1. - $40k. http://www.j-spec.com.au/dealer/1992-Nissa...-R-3424968.html
  11. interfooler - firstly welcome. Please do a search as I'm pretty sure there are topics on AllImports already. Also, note that SAU has a strict policy of no negative comments re businesses. As such I'm closing this, however if anyone has anything specific they want to tell interfooler, please do via PM. Cheers Bobby
  12. Yep only the 350Gt at this stage. to be honest I doubt we'll see the 370 sedan here any time soon, as the 350's aren't flying out the doors of the few that have em, so can't really see too many compliance places forking out the cash for the 370's. On another note though, looking at the US sites, the performance difference between the two is non existent. The 370's have a few extra kw's but they're also heavier and also got a new 7sp auto which isn't apparently as good as the 5sp on the 350's. Another interesting point is all the mags that did long term tests really hated the manual sedans. Clutches were fried after 1 year, and they simply said they got the wrong combo.
  13. GoldV35 First and final warning. Racist posts will not be tolerated. Hopefully a 10 day holiday will make you think twice before posting next time.

    Got Egged!

The actual egg should do nothing, egg shells on the other hand if thrown hard enough will chip the paint.

    Defected!

Keyword Joe - Logic The same logic that says loud exhausts on cars are a no no, but harleys can go for their life. The same logic that bans coilovers, but a 30yo rust bucket with leaking shocks is all good.
  16. Good stuff Nick. A mate of mine installed my air-con for me when i was building our place, and as a thankyou got him one of these days back when OP was open. He loved it, and so did everyone else there. Only wish some group would run a track day where you can drive there cars for the same price:-)
  17. Guys, Happy for the discussion to continue, and happy for people to draw their own conclusions, however please refrain from posting business names.
  18. Closed. crytos, SAU has a strict policy on discussion re street racing.
  19. fatz - any stock intercooler piping? has to be in excellent condition. no cracks nothing
  20. Daniel, SAU is not here to simply link to external for sale sites. Please read the rules in the sales section, and then post a new topic, in line with those rules.
  21. You have PM :-)
  22. yeah i knew cost would be an issue, thinking more long term when a few maxima's start showing up at wreckers. Thanks again mate.
  23. thanks Chris. Much appreciated. Not sure if this has been discussed, but with alot of the Aus cars now having a similar "looking" Nav/radio system, is a full swap out, out of the question. The layout in teh V36 looks similar to that of the new Maxima/Murano etc, but i think i remember there was some issues relating to the ECU.
  24. I've got a translated doc which outlines different GTR Turbo's, and this is what i found 14411-06u00 32 Nismo genuine adoption Material Aluminum Inconel If this is what you're ones are then they're steel wheeled turbo's.
