Need Help! Where To Buy Brake Pads In Sydney!
NISMO replied to Yi-Town's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Had a look into it cause i def remember that Z pads would not fit my non brembo 05 coupe callipers. Here's what i found 03/04 V35 Non Brembo = 03-05 Z33 non Bremno 05-07 V35 Non Brembo = 06-07 Z33 non Brembo So double check but in my case looks like the 1 year overlap screwed me back when i was looking cause i do remember asking for 05 Z33 pads as my V35 was an 05. -
Realistic Prices For V35's At The Moment?
NISMO replied to sputnik73's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Nope a For Sale thread is ok, just no continued bumping :-) -
Hi RBfan, Having several sets and seeing all your other topics are pretty much selling things to me suggests that you are a business selling parts, and as such am closing this thread. If you are a business and wish to become a paid trader let me know. Please PM me if you wish to discuss.

V35 Compliance - What Is Actually Done?
NISMO replied to Arcos's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
The xenons are removed because its an aus ADR that all Xenon fitted cars have washers to clean the headlights. It is illegal to have them, but there are people driving around with them so imagine you can have the car delivered to your place, take the Xenons out and build a bypass to run normal globes. Once you have it complied you return it back. Just what i've heard -

Xenon's are also removed. New tyres (which you pay for seperately) -
Insurance - Shipping & Handling
NISMO replied to Arcos's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
If you're importing through a broker, they should be able to help you with the first 2. For 3 and 4 you may be able to get something like laid up insurance. I know Shannons do it for their custs. Pretty much covers the car while being stored and transported on the back of a truck. No one will cover you though will its unregistered if its being driven on the road. Not that i could find anyway. I actually drove mine from the compliance place to home to RTA which you can do, just can't remember having insurance for it whilst doing that. -
Need Help! Where To Buy Brake Pads In Sydney!
NISMO replied to Yi-Town's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Nope they're not. Well they weren't on my 05 auto anyway. Found that out after ordering pads, taking the day off, car on hoist callipers off and oh-oh -
i voted lets do it, but would be even better if you can find a place that would have us with plenty of parking, rather than just roaming around the usual spots being told to move on by the men in blue

Came across these absolute legends searching for in-car footage of the Algarve track in Portugal. 1. Why you shouldn't track you're car on an unfinished track! 2. How you farked it, and why "quit while you're ahead" is the best advice you'll ever get! 3. It'll buff right out!

Exactly, $80-$90k for a VERY over hyped bottom of the range Beemer, or something around $50k for the Skyline Crossover.
-
Fair enough, But it does have the same 3.7 engine as the Skyline 370Gt and also the same interior. With that engine you could easily say its a performance crossover . But i do see your point. Its listed on the SEVS list, but not confirmed as eligable at this stage. They're selling fro around 3.5m yen at dealers in Japan, so for something that would more than likely walk all over all its competition in pretty much most areas, I think its a bargain.
-
Why not? Believe it or not the entire Nissan brand is not devoted to under 25's. Personally i think its a brilliant move and actually like it. Die hard Skyline lovers will buy it. what better car to buy when you need a second car for the Mrs, want to head down the coast for a holiday with the kids?

Parts Only Import?
NISMO replied to alburygreg's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
The most important thing for me is how did you buy the vehicle? If you had a broker source and purchase and you have evidence indicating that the car you instructed them to buy was to be road registered, you may have a legal avenue to follow. There was the case of the Stagea that I'm sure everyone remembers where the owner, took legal action as the car that was imported was unable to be complied. If though you sourced and purchased the car yourself, organised everything yourself then i think there's not much that can be done. -
Here's a link to the US guy i was referring to. so far by far the best option I've seen for an OEM look Nav in english. http://g35driver.com/forums/media-share-v3...screen-nav.html

Nasty Mini Crash At The Supertaxis Today
NISMO replied to Duncan's topic in Motorsport Discussion & Builds
Couldn't agree more. There's a really good thread on Ten Tenths about how leading drivers/teams simply don't give a rats about flags. -
Definitely just badged. To my knowledge no V36 or V35's out of Japan as a genuine infinity was right hand drive. All Infinity's are left hand drive. And no English conversion that i know of. In all honesty learning the buttons and what they do is not that hard, usually half an hour in the car and you can figure out what most buttons/menu's do. If you find an english conversion, let us know, but i would want it to look identical to the factory menu/system. I would prefer to keep the Japanese menu than some dodgy looking english version.

Hi Mark, Sorry to say but answer is no. I've been looking for a solution as well, and unfortunately there's no easy way around it. I did find a guy in the US though who bought a non-Nav G35 350GT sedan (V36) and he came up with a very good solution. In short he installed a Kenwood touchscreen in the place of the factory unit. He also got a kenwood Nav system which he hooked up to the screen. The screen has multiple inputs, so he used a switch and input the factory system into one and the nav into another, so he cannot see both at the same time, but basically flicks a switch when he wants Nav and music, and flicks back when he wants ac controls and trip computer etc etc. Looks like factory and you get an awesome Nav system.

Imported V35 Owner Questions
NISMO replied to Akumaru's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Dude, must be something wrong. when i had my auto i got over 800k's on highway only. I was heading down the coast and reset the trip computer when i started on the highway. After 200k's it moved just off the full level and said over 600 and something k's left. That includes a few towns on the way where you drop to 50km/h and some up hill twisties. so 600 on highway seems very low. -
Honestly, unless your in the business i have NFI why you would risk delays and problems to save $1k. Once the car gets to Aus, its not that bad, as I've look after cleaning, customs etc, and its not hard, but is stressfull for a first timer. The part that would scare me though is de-reg in Japan, and getting teh car on a boat. I was a little lucky as had a good compliance shop that walked me through everything i needed. Without them i reckon the car would still be on the docks

lol, Chubbeh had a chubby. Seriously though, i found the straights a bit boring, but fark me cornering in an open wheeler is just insane, had the biggest bruises on the sides of my knees for ages. It was at OP as well, and the dog leg was just epic. Dude, you has pics of tearing sh!t up in Dubai? Stu, aren't the TVR's teh cars they call the widowmakers? Did you get a chance to give it a squirt or was it a cruisy drive?

There's a few examples on teh front page of Prestige Motorsport http://www.prestigemotorsport.com.au/searc...p;submit=Search -
From a fun perspective, gotta say for me its a formula ford. Couldn't stop grinning for about 3 weeks. Interesting - Moddified Twin turbo Porsche cayanne - this thing was insane, tuned, exhaust etc etc. Press a button, the suspension squats hit the loud pedal and hold on to your nuts. Felt so wrong in a car so big
