  1. Completely agree, and what i was trying to get at. I connot feel the difference at all between the V35 and the R32. (see my post above for the difference in the two) And thats both cars on the track at both Wakefield and Oran Park, really don't know how the OP sees it as "such a handicap"
  2. You're comparing a 1989 shape car with a 2004 impreza??? I think there's your answer. Cd is more than just a sleek look. eg Lambo Countach - 0.42 That aside though, I've honestly never felt it. And I'm going to a 32 GTR from a car with a 0.27Cd - V35 Coupe.
  3. the big question is how bad do you want one, and more importantly how much are you willing to pay Even though i consider selling mine every now and then, one look at it and that silliness goes away. BUT, everything has its price
  4. Oh man! Hate to see this happen to anyone, but such an awesome GTR makes it that much worse. I think your options re write-off and wrecks depends on your policy. Some places regardless of value will keep the wreck as its money they can make to cover their payout, by selling it. Others will let you have first choice to buy back the wreck, and some policies will just give you the wreck if the car is of certain age. This is from Shannons If your car is older than 35 years and is involved in an accident where it is a total loss, you have the option of retaining the wreck. Check your policy, cause if they do write it off and you have the option of claiming the car, then at least you know.
  5. Got about a million pix from the Saturday. Will try and post up tonight. Was epic seeing terry in the Winfield car in the last race on Saturday make up a whole heap of positions. Looked stunning coming onto the straight, with the headlights on. That little M3 though was amazing. I think it was seton driving , right? Also loved the look of the ANZ Sierra's.
  6. ^ agreed. Once you start factoring in all the rarer bits it will add up to a fair bit - things like -Rear Window with no wiper -Non ABS lines, holders, master cyl -Single motor washer bottle - yes its different to a standard GTR -N1 engine, N1 turbo's (of course you don't need these if its just a looks replica) And when you're all said and done, you'd have spent triple for what is still a fairly standard car. BUT - that aside, go for it. Will be great to see another fresh original GTR. A few people are starting to do this.
  7. bahahahaha, one of my mates got his license before the rest of us and the farker loved ace of base. Had to put up with that for 6 months till another mate got his P's.
  8. no wonder everyone is struggling to find clean cars. Ze Baron has bought them all up! Very nice Rich.
  9. Nick, if you want something for the stock position, there's the defi din set. 2 temp guages (oil and water) and 1 pressure (oil) Fit straight in, and they're Defi so they work. Not cheap though, around $500 for set last time i checked. http://www.defi-shop.com/product/din/din_top.html
  10. jeff, can you send me a pic at all mate? If they're in the condition I'm after, will take em. Prob pick up this Sunday, maybe tomorrow morning but doubt it. Sunday more def. Cheers Bobby
  11. as per title. Need to be in good condition, no rips cracks etc After the full set. TT pipe to guard guard to cooler cooler to guard guard to plenum
  12. Don't be too hasty guys. Haven't had anything to do with Queen St, but Dahtone came to the SAU show n shine last December and had a hole heap of nice cars with them. In fact they were the biggest single supporters of show. Bar none! Everyone likes different things, "sex-spec" is in no way my cup of tea, but seeing some of the effort that goes into the cars is nothing short of amazing. As for being JDM, there are "JDM" cars and scenes that would make Queen St and Dahtone look subtle
  13. Hang in there!! Sedans will always be a tougher market. The big attraction with imports is sporty coupes. Sedans are more "family" orientated and the general import buyer is not usually family folk
  14. to easy dude, something along the lines of, if they get it wrong, a trap door opens up and they fall into an alligator pit, would be better.
  15. Oh and can't forget Mater!!!!
  16. A real movie star. Stallone's 1950 Mercury from Cobra. Looks different cause it was repainted for gone in 60 seconds. Now Original
  17. Nope, unfortunately not. Was considering grabbing one from Nissan, but the AUD price before shipping was ridiculous. Somehwere around the $2.5k to $3k. The hardest thing with these cars is that there's very limited "official" nissan info out there, in either Japanese or English. But if you dig hard enough you get some truth. For example i know have official Nissan docs which state the details of how the car left the factory eg there was no ABS.
  18. There were 2 variants of the N1 - the first was the 91/92 model N1 which was based on the standard car, brembo's hadn't made their way to any GTR's at this stage so like mine, earlier N1's came without Brembo's. Also re bodykits the few genuine early N1's I've seen came with front hood spoiler, rear trunk spolier and sideskirts but none had the splats in front of the rear wheels that are part of NISMO kits i think. The later N1's, 93/94 where based on V-specs so these cars did get the Brembo's. The 91/92 N1's have ZN as part of the chassis code and the later model had Z something can't remember if its Y or X.
  19. fkn lol, missed that
  20. Umm, i think you'll find that the 24U is an N1 engine not a "NISMO" engine. maybe you should chill a bit before telling people to get their facts right?
  21. dan, can you wash and dry it in the shade? If you're washing in the sun, the panels heat up and there's not much you can do about it, as the heat is there. Generally when i wash, I'll do a section at a time, but soak the whole car to keep it wet each time i wash the suds off a section. Sounds like wasting a lot of water, but thats the best part about having a decent sixe rain tank
  22. No, not feedback from ourselves, feedback from people dealing with us. It may come as a shock but when we put on an event we deal with the general public. When we hold an event (eg show n shine last year, texi days) we hold it at a venue which is usually run by the "public" not by car enthusiasts, and again, I'm yet to hear negative feedback. As for feedback, its you saying that its negative. I'm asking for proof. Not being a smartar$e, I'm genuinely interested in proof that SAU has a bad public image. The one negative shot to our image that i know of was the ACA story earlier this year. Thats it.
  23. I didn't at any time say that Skyline's didn't have a negative image. I also 100% believe that its not the image of skylines but performance cars in general. What i said was that i wasn't aware that SAU had to change its public image. I would go so far as to say that SAU in general has a great image. 99.9% of the public don't know what/who SAU is and those that do, i would say have a positive image of SAU the club. I think this is evident through the all the positive feedback we get when holding any kind of event. Be it cruises, show n shines, track days etc ect. This is SAU, a moron speeding on a public road is not SAU. If you can show me something which says the public has a negative image of SAU, I'd be happy to stand corrected.
  24. Umm, i didn't know that SAU had a negative public image?? Something you've heard?
  25. RedEclipze, There's has been many a discussion relating to this. Even in this very section. Please have a little read of it. The long and short of it is, yes its there to stop spamming. Yes i know you can argue that you have to spam 10 posts, an no it won't be changing. SAU is not a business, the for sale section is there for the benifit of this community. Its not unreasonable to expect members to be active on SAU before reeking the benifits of SAU. As for your specific situation, why not post your email address in 666DAN's thread asking to be contacted as you have done here?
