  1. I think its something to do with having to send constant signals to all the sensors. If you go with a new battery, there's a parts shop in Sydney call Peps, who have these new sealed battery's for under $100. I drive my car once a month in a good year and have been using one of these, with a $10 solar charger and has been fine.
  2. Pretty sure i read somewhere they were made by Compomotive, the MO5 range http://www.comp.co.uk/wheels/wheels.asp?range=MO5_0005
  3. Closed, again. If you insist on posting multiple times about the same thing after being asked not too you will be banned from the forums. Last warning. Alternatively you could become a forum sponsor as other traders are. There's an idea!!
  4. Do you have an alarm. They can drain a new battery pretty easy in a couple if weeks.
  5. Thanks mate, been on my work PC which has an old version of IE, that's why you probably got that blank PM, will shoot you another one tonight about tomorrow, or give you a call.
  6. What about a stock N1? Just depends on day you guys are going.
  7. You already have a thread in the events section. No need for a second one.
  8. Hey Marko, I'll take the timber spare wheel cover thingy. Also if youw ant to seperate the boot carpet only, don't need the side trims. Do you also have the dust cover that sits under the engine? PM me your details mate, dependign on location will organise to meet up soon. Cheers Bobby
  9. no probs, I've used them twice, with no complaints. 1st car was a V35 Coupe in Bris (I'm in Syd) and the second was my N1. Both times, the report was thorough and there was nothing I found in either car which wasn't on the report. If you're worried about certain things, just speak to the inspector and ask if they can specifically look at it, eg as mentioned i got them to do a compression test on the GTR Like any inspection it's largely visual but pretty much the same will happen in a workshop. If you like PM me your email and I'll shoot you a copy of the report i got on the GTR. They'll also snap a heap of photos i think if you request them, and will include pics of worn items etc
  10. Get someone like stateroads.com.au to take a look at it first. It'll save you the airfare and trip if there's something wrong and will only cost a couple of hundred. They will check for any accident damage and you can even ask them to do a compression test. As they note all pretty much non perfect aspects it also gives you a good bargaining position with the owner if there is a lot of minor issues.
  11. Personally i think its the opposite If you look at what the execs in big business get paid, and then look at government, i think the problem is that its such a low paying job for the amount of responsibility and stress, that no half intelligent person would actually even attempt it. End result is we get people in power like those we have now, from federal to state to local. No one with any actual background in running a major enterprise (which is what govt is).
  12. Removing the exhaust is probably needed as well, or at least will make removing the box easier.
  13. Have a look on some of the US sites, as a fair few companies sell full G35 kits which are identical. You can either buy the full kit or use it as a reference to see what is needed. almost all of them include moving away from a dual mass flywheel as well. I actually got mine delivered from the US as simply due to the volumes they sell, they are much cheaper than anything here and you also can find reviews on heaps of the ones they sell. Try the business classifieds in G35Driver for example. Your only problem will be choosing a kit
  14. Thanks Birds. Appreciate the advice mate and will see if I can get under it to take a look. Elite, thinking back now it seems sudden. can't really remember it getting worse.
  15. I've got a Jim Berry clutch (not full monty) in my 32, and it has been behaving a bit weird. The bite has moved very high up the pedal and is now very narrow. As well as this it has started slipping a bit, but usually when cold. Once warmed up, it doesn't miss a beat, but the bite is still high up and veryy narrow. Because it wasn't like this when first installed, is it gone? Could it be something else causing the change, eg need to bleed lines, master or slave gone? any ideas?
  16. Did you want something used or brand new? If its new, whats wrong with the just jap blocks? If thats what you want they have them. Even if they don't ship, it shouldn't be hard to organise a shipping broker to get all that stuff done.
  17. How farken good was it echoing around the mountain!!!
  18. look up just jap in our trader section. They have N1's and i believe complet Nismo engines. I'm sure they'd be happy to ship one over to you if you're happy to pay the price
  19. Don't know the guy, but it sounds like someone justifying their choice. The reason why 33's/34's and 32's are like holden's/fords here is simply because their pretty much the best value cars on the market. Nothing really even comes close. As for owners of $180000 cars wanting to drive a DR30, yeah maybe for what 15 seconds. How many of those same owners would sawp an R35 for a DR30. I'd bet my house its probably around 0!! To me its a no brainer and you definitely made the right choice. A DR30 paul newman or anything will only ever have value amongst true Skyline enthusiasts, and thats it. Outside of the Skyline community i doubt anyone knows what it is. Its a classic skyline, but a true classic car. I really doubt it. On the other hand a GTR any model, is well, a GTR
  20. ^^ agreed, Walk into the bank together and pay cheques to relevant parties together. If he/she says no to that their hiding something and would walk away from the whole thing quickly.
  21. haha, you'd think we all have shares in A1RM's, RDA's and Yavuz!! Seriously though i use all 3 and really can't fault em. Especially the prices of RDA's and A1RM's. Plus Yavuz is a freak.
  22. It's def on. The hotel is selling packages for the day including some special breakfast thing. See you there Steve. Heading up on Tues morning.

  25. Find what parts you need and do a bit of a dig around. Genuine RB26 water pumps for example can be bought for peanuts from the US. Same with most other parts. Do this yourself and you'll save heaps just ask the shop of your choice what you need and go and get it. Labour wise i would expect to pay around the $500 or so at most shops.
